Bootloader - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hello, people of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
I have owned this device for a while now and I have a problem that I would like to share with you.
A short time ago, I closed the phone's bootloader to make it like new... And it was a serious mistake.
I bought a new mobile and thought about using the old one as a backup.
This endorsement should have:
- Bootloader unlocked
- Root activated.
I must add that that device had a Mi account that belonged to me and I deleted it.
After doing that, and closing the bootloader, using the precious command of:
- fastboot oem unlock
Appears the next message:

I have tried to use the Mi Unlock software but when I enter my new Mi account and press the Unlock Now button, I get the following (What is covered was the ID of my old Mi account)
I have tried to insert my SIM card, add the new account, activate the OEM unlock option and try to unlock the bootloader using Fastboot... But I get what I indicated...

Did not have to request for unlock code?

Note I haven't bought the phone yet. Planning to get it on Friday. I went to the unlock website and signed in by pressong on unlock. it immediately linked me to the download page. I have never requested before on this account. Granted I used to be a beta tester for the redmi note 1 and a forum moderator for the nexus 7 2013 edition.
Does this give me a free pass?
Curiously I signed in with my second account and it linked me to the request page.

You also need to have your account permitted to unlock bootloader to use the tool. Try opening the tool and you should see it asking you to login with your mi account

I apparently had a free pass. Just unlocked my mi 5 yesterday. It's on xiaomi.eu ROM now.

Cannot unlock bootloader again after using Clean and lock option in XiaoMiFlash

Hello.
A friend ask me to install Lineage OS on his Mi8 so we asked for BootLoader unlock, wait about 15 days, unlock it and install Lineage OS.
But he decide to try Havoc OS because of some missing features in L.OS but flash goes wrong.
I manage to reflash MiUI 8.11.23 to get a usable phone but I didn't notice the option in the lower right end of the screen and I flashed with "Clean and lock" option
So the bootloader is now lock again but we cannot unlock it as when I use myflash_unlock utility, I'm facing this error :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Is it possible to unlock again the phone ? Do we have to wait for a some days (like when you first unlock it) ?
Thanks.
If you used your xiaomi account to unlock it, then you should be able to do it again instantly (something similar happened to me and I could re-unlock it without problems). If you do not have the account that was used, you have a big problem and only one solution: go to a Xiaomi store and ask for a reparation, they have EDL accounts and that will fix your problem. You can try to find a EDL account on internet, but it is almost imposible.
If you are using your own account, maybe you can try with a wipe data, but I am not sure
PD: remember to check if you have activate the developer options of USB debugging, etc. on your device

It should be pretty much the same as it was for the last two devices. SIM unlock is needed to unlock the bootloader but it should be easy enough to unlock the bootloader with the standard fastboot command until a tool comes out that bypasses or breaks the SIM lock.
Op7 op7 pro bootloader unlock is the the same fastboot process and the new standard a/b process for custom rom flashing as op6 so no worries it's coming soon enough
It took a few seconds. (OEM Unlock tick, ADB reboot to fastboot, etc)

Does this work for the T-mobile variant or international (website) versions only?

I assume you need the unlock.bin for tmo just like the 6t.
Self promotion is not allowed here on XDA.

Unlock BL - already locked to another Mi Account

Hi,
I've just bought a secondhand Mi 9 (my original Mi 9 screen broke when I dropped it ), but when trying to unlock the bootloader, I get this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
which google tells me means the phone has been locked by account 157***980 'by looking for the phone and cannot be unlocked'.
I take this to mean that the phone was linked to the Mi account 157***980 by the original owner, and therefore can't be unlocked using the Mi Unlock software.
Is this right or is there any way around this? I'll have to return the phone to the ebay seller I bought it off (I don't think they were the original owner, so wouldn't be able to delink the phone).
Just to be clear, this isn't a question about circumventing the wait time to unlock - it's asking about the above situation.
Thanks in advance.
----------------
EDIT: It turned out that was my account - I seem to have two, one associated with my phone number, and one for my email address - trying for a third time sorted it out for me. Gah. Mods, please feel free to delete this thread as I don't think this question will be useful to others.

Question Redmi Note 10 Pro - how to root (just to be sure)?

Hi,
I'm asking just to be sure
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro - retail (not from a carrier):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I want to root this device - with Magisk, I don't need TWRP, just Xposed/EdXposed Framework + modules.
I found this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-mi-10-10-pro-root-guide-for-miui-stable.4071553/
Is that the right way? And: sorry for my stupid question, but I'm a "Xiaomi-newbie" (Motorola was quick and easy - just get the code from the manufacturer website & go):
1) So, now what? Wait 7 days (I tapped allready "unlock" on the device) or connect right now with the unlock tool and do something?
2) Can I do "factory reset" after unlock the bootloader (to erase the MI-account - I don't need this)?
TIA
Now I know...
But the whole thing was conceived by a "genius".
Switch off Wi-Fi, activate data transfer - OK, then Fasboot mode and at the end enter the SMS code to log in to the account. So... receiving SMS in fastboot mode is a bit difficult. Really "genius"
