Hello.
A friend ask me to install Lineage OS on his Mi8 so we asked for BootLoader unlock, wait about 15 days, unlock it and install Lineage OS.
But he decide to try Havoc OS because of some missing features in L.OS but flash goes wrong.
I manage to reflash MiUI 8.11.23 to get a usable phone but I didn't notice the option in the lower right end of the screen and I flashed with "Clean and lock" option
So the bootloader is now lock again but we cannot unlock it as when I use myflash_unlock utility, I'm facing this error :

Is it possible to unlock again the phone ? Do we have to wait for a some days (like when you first unlock it) ?
Thanks.
If you used your xiaomi account to unlock it, then you should be able to do it again instantly (something similar happened to me and I could re-unlock it without problems). If you do not have the account that was used, you have a big problem and only one solution: go to a Xiaomi store and ask for a reparation, they have EDL accounts and that will fix your problem. You can try to find a EDL account on internet, but it is almost imposible.
If you are using your own account, maybe you can try with a wipe data, but I am not sure
PD: remember to check if you have activate the developer options of USB debugging, etc. on your device

what i can do with that?
thanks
Personally, I recommend doing nothing and leaving the bootloader unlocked. But if you're truly serious about locking the bootloader, did you enable OEM Unlock in Developer Options beforehand?
i want to do RMA that's why
Well that explains why you want to lock the bootloader. But you haven't answered the question I asked in my previous post.
The prompt literally tells you exactly what it wants?
"Check allow OEM unlock in developers options before locking"
thanks, i fix it
@I7210I: And how did you fix it?
i enabled th OEM Unlock in Developer Options
but the device will go to the factory cause as it looks like it is hardware problem
So in other words, you did exactly what the ADB prompt said, which is what I had asked you initially.
which doesn't matter, because you can't void the warranty on a Nexus.
yes but for the small option that they will say something i close it
now i want to know what to check in the new nexus ...i had already one nexus 5 with defective screen that stopes works after 2 days
this post is halarious.
If Google now implemented a backstop that prevents locking the bootloader without having oem unlock checked that's really good considering many ppl have been bricking themselves in the past
Unfortunately while flashing a new recovery my phone died bricking it. Even worse for me, I don't currently have any rom on it so it couldn't boot into anything after that point. To attempt to recover from this I followed this guide, and have successfully gotten the X526 stock rom booting. However, I am unable to get to developer options to enable the OEM unlock option as I can't skip the initial setup. Every time I hit skip the attached warning shows up & prevents me from exiting setup. If anyone has an ideas as to what I could try that would be amazing!
SOLUTION:
I am unsure why this worked, but moving the SIM card from the rightmost slot to the leftmost slot enabled the network. Once the network is enabled, instead of skipping setup just setup the google account and you can get around this warning.
Warning:
The system has detected that you might have performed an unsafe factory reset or system update. Make sure that the network connection is normal and that you sign in with the same Google account that was accessed during the last session. The phone won't start properly if the login fails due to Google's security policies.

Go to fastboot and try oem unlock commands
Hi,
I'm asking just to be sure
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro - retail (not from a carrier):

I want to root this device - with Magisk, I don't need TWRP, just Xposed/EdXposed Framework + modules.
I found this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-mi-10-10-pro-root-guide-for-miui-stable.4071553/
Is that the right way? And: sorry for my stupid question, but I'm a "Xiaomi-newbie" (Motorola was quick and easy - just get the code from the manufacturer website & go):
1) So, now what? Wait 7 days (I tapped allready "unlock" on the device) or connect right now with the unlock tool and do something?
2) Can I do "factory reset" after unlock the bootloader (to erase the MI-account - I don't need this)?
TIA
Now I know...
But the whole thing was conceived by a "genius".
Switch off Wi-Fi, activate data transfer - OK, then Fasboot mode and at the end enter the SMS code to log in to the account. So... receiving SMS in fastboot mode is a bit difficult. Really "genius"
Hello all
I have a problem with my phone. After starting the day all normal, tried to install an app for my job (KeyAccess Pass) to enter the building and etc, left my phone by side and continue to work. After some time, I've realised the my phone was off, tried to power on and since then stuck in the screen bellow.
More info: probably bootloader locked, no root, stock rom MIUI 12.5.something updated with OTA almost 2 months before. Tried power + volume+ and power + volume-, nothing different.

if you still have an active warranty, id suggest to check in at a service center.
try accessing safe mode (power on then voldown). most of the different boot modes require a 2nd vibe tick, is it still locked out? if you do get in, try formatting data via recovery. if not, yeah the service center is literally the only way with a locked bootloader.
Thanks for the reply. No warranty for me, and I'm locked out yet, so I will think a bit if I will go to the service center or buy another phone...
Hello, people of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
I have owned this device for a while now and I have a problem that I would like to share with you.
A short time ago, I closed the phone's bootloader to make it like new... And it was a serious mistake.
I bought a new mobile and thought about using the old one as a backup.
This endorsement should have:
- Bootloader unlocked
- Root activated.
I must add that that device had a Mi account that belonged to me and I deleted it.
After doing that, and closing the bootloader, using the precious command of:
- fastboot oem unlock
Appears the next message:

I have tried to use the Mi Unlock software but when I enter my new Mi account and press the Unlock Now button, I get the following (What is covered was the ID of my old Mi account)
I have tried to insert my SIM card, add the new account, activate the OEM unlock option and try to unlock the bootloader using Fastboot... But I get what I indicated...
