Question Does the Blank Flash bypass locked bootloader - Motorola Edge 30 Ultra / Motorola Moto X30 Pro

Hi everyone, I ask this question here because
I got a China retail version Razr 40 Ultra, XT2321-2, which is actually with same CPU as X30pro/Edge 30 Ultra
My OEM Unlocking is toggleable, but the moto bootloader site said 'Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking'
The China retail rom, believe me, is not the same level as its global peer. Let's say the Nearby Sharing is not available because Google services are not by default. More worse is too many tricky Chinese apps keep asking you if they can read your Contacts...
So I want to convert my Razr 40 Ultra to global version, e.g. reteu
Since the bootloader cannot be unlocked, I am thinking if the blank flash way can bypass it, and flash a bootloader from global version to overwrite the factory shipped one? Any comments or suggestion will be appreciated. I know there is risk, and I will take it for 'FREEDOM'

Mi8 CN unlocked bootloader questions.

Because of many threads for bricked devices, I`m opening this thread with all questions about risk and solutions (if there is any).
Q1: Is CN version with unlocked bootloader and Global Rom installed will recieve OTA update without problems like re-locking bootloader?
Q2: If everything from Q1 works, what problems we should expect because of unlocked bootloader?
Q3: Is it possible to disconnect device from seller account, flash CN ROM, re-lock bootloader and bound your Xiaomi account in device to be able to unlock it again?
Q4: Can we expect in future solution for re-lock CN version with official global rom or it is impossible at all?
This is what I`m concerned mostly. For sure there is other questions I missed, but this is basically
Q1: Yes (well I read it in the Mi 8 forums)
Q1: Google pay, netflix...don't work, no ubication in the Mi account....
Q3: Yes I did it. First you need the sellers account their password and their help!!!!, then you flash CHINA DEV ROM (not the stable rom) (same version if you are in android 8.1 take care about the version you flash because now china dev is in androd 9) and lock bootloader. When you start the phone it ask for the password of the seller account you have to put it on the phone and have to tell him to erase the device in their account. IT'S AT YOUR OWN RISK I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS BECAUSE YOU CAN BRICK YOUR PHONE!!!! IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING DON'T DO IT!!!
You can read this: h***s://w**.igeekphone.com/xiaomi-mi-8-what-to-do-if-you-receive-it-with-unlocked-bootloader-and-global-miui/ (Maybe he was lucky and his cell phone was not linked to the seller's account???)
I talk with my seller and now I have the china dev installed with my Mi account and waiting 720h to unlock the bootloader to install the global rom.
Q4: I hope so

China box china rom

Hello guys im really interested with this phone. Bang for the buck. But many people are making a fuzz about global roms and china boxes.
Will it matter if i buy a china box with china rom? cant i just select english language on the china rom and flash a global rom myself? Im going to be flashing stuffs anyways
Could really get a good price with just china everything
There are 3 things you should be aware before buying:
1. You'll need to wait some time to unlock the bootloader and change rom (time may vary, it was 10-15 days, then 2 months, I don't know how much right now)
2. If you flash a global rom you cannot lock the bootloader again, unless you want to brick your device
3. There is an announcement by Xiaomi in which they say we will no longer be able to use global rom on china device: I believe nothing really changed and you just have to unlock bootloader to be able to flash anything you want.
Anyway, I have the china version on which I installed the globa rom without trouble, it's working perfectly. Just avoid fake global version, since you need to own the MI account used to unlock the bootloader in case you have troubles with your device.
How many days did you wait to unlock bootloader? So to be safe i need to have a locked bootloader device which is the china version? Because some seller are flashing the global ROM on their own.
I waited 10 days because I installed China beta (otherwise it was 15 days, you don't need to unlock the bootloader to flash same region beta), now it may be different. The answer to the second question is yes, go for China and unlock it yourself. It's gonna be longer but it's safer.

Lock and then unlock "Global" Variant

Hi all,
I had some doubt regarding the so called "Global" variant sold on AliExpress. Is it possible for me to flash the stock Chinese ROM and then lock the bootloader and then later unlock the bootloader and then flash a custom ROM? If yes, my doubt is this, if I wanted to unlock the bootloader after locking it, won't I require the sellers account or whatever he used to unlock the bootloader in the first since that account is linked to the phone?? If so, is there any possible way of removing that associated account and link your own so that it actually becomes your "OWN". Also, does banking apps, say GPay work on an unlocked bootloader???!
Thanks in advance.
Hi, look here Redmi K20 Pro
Read, understand and be careful what you do. I'd NOT recommend locking the bootloader again.

On AliExpress if a listing says global variant, then it's going to be a global model, if it says global ROM, then it's going to be a Chinese model with a global ROM installed by the seller.
You need to make sure you have the Chinese model before flashing the Chinese ROM and locking the bootloader.
It looks like the reputable sellers on AliExpress remove the phones from their Mi accounts, so there is a good chance you'll be able to link the phone to your own account and go through the unlock process yourself.
There's a couple of guides on these K20 Pro subforums to getting GPay to work on an unlocked phone. I'll leave to search them out.

Unlocked the bootloader - no waiting time

I bought a new Mi 8 / dipper and went to unlock the bootloader. Needed a bit of fiddling, but I managed to do it with some helpful posts here on XDA.
To my surprise, there was no waiting time to unlock it – even though everyone else seemed to have to wait for 160 or 360 hours. Even very recent reddit posts (just 2-7 days old when I tried to unlock my phone) mentioned that they had to wait.
It's my first Xiaomi phone and I created a Mi account with the phone to unlock it.
Does anyone know what could've caused this? I certainly won't complain, just wondering if I possibly have a refurbished phone or something like that.
I too bought a Mi8 and when I unlocked it was expecting a waiting period as I have read but instead it unlocked instantly. What I think is the stores bought a Chinese model cause they're cheaper, unlocked the bootloader, flashed Global ROM, re-locked and sold.

It is not possible to install global ROM on Chinese version and relock bootloader. You will hard brick your phone in that case. The same with Chinese rom on global version. Bootloader must be unlock to do that.

Unlocked bootloader from China, unsupported apps

Hello,
I've been sold the Mi 9 t Pro 256 GB (or k20 pro) by what I thought was a trustworthy store, Phone House.
It turns out the device was sent from China and comes with the bootloader unlocked and Global Rom:
MiUi Global 11.0.5
Stable
11.0.5.0 QFKEUXM
I've realised some apps don't work from Google Play Store (Netflix, Disney Plus and probably more) and apparently it's because the bootloader is unlocked.
What I want is an official ROM with locked bootloader, so I don't have to download official apps from third party websites which I don't necesarily trust.
However I've been told I will brick the phone, because I don't have access to the account they used to unlock the bootloader and install the Global ROM; at least if they forgot to unlink the phone from that account, which I'm told is really common. I just want to own the phone I paid for, which seems quite reasonable to me.
Is there any way I can check if my phone is still linked to the chinese account they used to unlock the bootloader? Has anybody gotten out of this situation and if they did, can they tell me what steps should i take?
Regards.

Can you link your phone with your Xiaomi account and number?
Most of us here wish unlocked bootloader , install twrp and magisk and most of your app problems go away.

If your phone is originally a Chinese K20 Pro then you can only lock the bootloader with the Chinese ROM. If you try and lock the bootloader with any other ROM you will brick the phone
It doesn't matter who unlocked the bootloader. You will be able to flash the Chinese fastboot ROM and lock the bootloader, without any problems. After which you can use the phone completely as normal.
If you decide you want to unlock the bootloader again, you will have issues if the phone is still linked to another Mi account. Some sellers have been good at removing phones from their Mi account, some have not.
If you flash a different region ROM and lock the bootloader and you haven't properly linked the phone to your Mi account before (which is done during the bootloader unlock process), then your bricked phone will be hard bricked and can only be recovered by flashing with an authorised Mi service account.
First job is to determine exactly which region model you have. This can be done with an online IMEI checker. Then download the correct fastboot ROM for the phone and flash it with the Mi Flash Tool, using the flash and lock option.
