There came a screen protector with my Touch Dual, which works very well, i do not see any difference in using the protector or using the device without it. So anybody out there, who knows, where to get this specific protector?
Thanks in advance.
we
PS It is adhesive, which i like more than sticking it to the screen and never being able to remove it again
the one that came with mine is ok but I messed up by having some dust underneath so I've ordered a new one from here: http://www.martinfields.co.uk/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_DualTouch&modeln=Touch Dual&prod_type=screen
I've always used Martin Fields screen protectors, IMHO they're the best! plus they're ultra clear once you put them properly you can't tell

In all my excitement when I got the Touch Dual more than two weeks ago I completely overlooked the screen protector in the box Found it but still not applied it yet
Brando already delivers touch dual protectors too.
Screnn Protector Washable?
Hi..
Do you know if original screnn protector is Whashable?
Thanks
The orig. protector rocks.
I bought some from ebay and already dropped them into garbage.
Now i ordered one from martinfields and i hope this one works better for me ...
Any other experience?
i got 3 really cheap ones off ebay which are fantastic.
they're in 3 sections, you take one side off to reveal the sticky side then put it on the screen then pull the other side off to reveal the front face of the cover.
really good.

I bought this as spare:

so is the martin fields one the best? i applied the original one wrong and there is dust underneath it and need a new screen protector

I don't know whether it's the best or not, but I had the same problem that you do.
I bought the protector from martinfields based on the recommendations in this thread, and must say that I like it better than the original one.
It is thinner, so it seems like you need less pressure to make the screen react when you press it.
I've only had it for a day, so I really can't say how durable it is...

Are the Martin Fields and Invisible Shields self adhesive?
I don't have to glue them on do I hehe
The one that came with mine I put it on properly but then I panicked slightly and thought "How do I get it back off!" so peeled one side up just to see if it would come off, then of course got all dust and crap under the edge so it looks skanky now thus want a new one.
I only managed to do that because it was slightly misaligned and a bit overlapped at the side of the screen though not enough to notice unless you looked very closely. So how do you get them off if they are put on perfectly? I know you could use a knife but you could scratch the screen and that defeats the purpose

Don't know about Martin Fields.
Go to link in above post to see Invisible Shield. If I remember correctly, they tell you how to do things on their site. I don't have one for the niki so can't tell you for sure, but have one on my ipod and it took awhile to get on, but well worth it.
Also, their customer support is very very good.

Use scotch tape. Just stick it on the face of the screen protector and lift. Simple as that.
Btw, I've recently swapped out my screen protector because I somehow got a scratch on it. Anyway, the sales recommended one that was matte finished (as oppose to glossy like most screen protectors). I have to say, it is so much better than the traditional glossy ones. The great part is the texture. It is so much smoother than regular ones. Great for sliding your finger across using Touchflo.
However, it does diminish your off-axis visual quality. But i suppose that doesn't really matter since you don't look at your screen off-axis much anyway. It may even be a plus since you might not want the person next to you to see what you're looking at...

That's a good idea! I never thought of that, I did see something on a website about using something sticky to remove it but I was thinking of blutak or something like that and thinking that it wouldn't work very well!
A bit of grit got on my screen and I scratched the protector with my stylus the other day, another reason to get a new one, but also a good reason for leaving the current one on!
Where do you get the matte ones from?

I'm in Hong Kong so I just picked it up from one of many independently owned techy shops. I didn't pay attention to what brand it was (i basically just paid the guy and he opened it up and stuck it on for me). The next time i head back there, i'll take note of the brand.
Invisible Shield
Just installed the I.S. (bought on ebay) on my Niki...
It's been a pain in the neck to install...
It's really hard to prevent small bubbles on the surfaces...
Maybe on a white ipod has a better look but on the Niki black finish you'll see them..they're really really small but sometimes in a large number: the overall effect is as a dirty and scratched Niki...
Bigger ones could rise passing from the front/back to the lateral sides, in particular near the big 4 rounds.
The hole for the hands-free speaker was totally missing!
When in hand you can feel the sharp edges corresponding to its thickness ...
The original protector is a little bit "softer"
But...
I can have it in my pocket with no additional thickness...
Right now I was using the silicon case, but it seemed that I was calling with a tv remote control...
I was just gonna buy an Invisible Shield *Thinks*
Thanks for the info ohyeahar I was thinking of going for the Invisible Shield but now might just go for a screen protector and some sort of leather case-age. Dunno
Heya guys,
I recently bought a clarivue glass screen protector for my note 2. screwed up the lining up the first time, then when i tried to reapply it, i messed it up because there was too much dust underneath.
I thought to my self 'man, theres too much dust for a little piece of scotch tape to remove'
then i thought to myself 'what if i use two big fat pieces of scotch tape and tape the complete underside (the sticky side) of the screen protector to remove all the dust at once, and then peel off and reapply?'
guess what? it works. I used two of the widest scotch tape i could get, and taped the complete underside of the screen protector. then peeled it off as if it were the protective layer for the screen protector. got a perfect application after doing this, no dust underneath at all!!!
So, for all you guys who payed $20-50 for expensive screen protectors and dont want to throw them away, this will save you heartache and money.
OMG, I was literally just thinking about how to fix my screen protector mishap (dust underneath)! Thanks for the idea, probably try it out tomorrow.

Best way to remove dust is using a lint roller. Use it on your phone's screen prior to applying any screen protector. You can also remove dust from the sticky side of the protector

Thanks guys! It's so funny you mentioned this as I also bought a clarivue glass screen protector and have the same issue! The sticky side attracts so much dust even if you think you're in a dust free environment! I was thinking about washing mine but I think I will give this a go tonight as I have one screen bubble that's annoying me!
Also when you say scotch tape do you mean the brown parcel packing tape or the semi-transparent magic tape one?

i used the transparent one.
although if your tape is thick, theres a chance that there might be a line of dust where the tape overlaps. if you're worried about that, go to your local newsagent and buy a roll of contact (the stuff you use to laminate/cover books). that stuff costs 50c for about a square metre or so, and you can cut a piece that is big enough to cover your entire screen protector.
this stuff is magical!!!!!

Any technique of how to apply glass screen protector. My sp does not adhere at the edges.

A technique that I used on my previous phone was to apply the sp in the bath room with the shower running hot. Wait for the room to stream up then start to install the sp. You can wait till someone is using the shower like a girlfriend... Because it would be weird if you did it while your mom, dad, sister or brother was in the shower. :silly:

Its not going to stick all the way to the edges since the glass on the note 2 is beveled around the edge(has a slight downward curve) so the screen protector can't make contact
I like to break stuff!
Edited
I used the shower steam method last night and it helped a great deal! managed to get a perfect install and got rid of 99% of those pesky bubbles. Just waiting for it to adhere through the 48hours on the edges. Importantly I don't have any on the screen. Can't even tell there's a protector on with this. Also thumbs up for the tape idea. I used two large strips of brown parcel tape as was able to clean up my protector like new before reapplying!
Hehe, you're welcome. its a good screen protector, and for the price we payed, we shouldnt need to buy another one!

Damn right! The only thing that annoys me is trying to lift it up again to realign I think my nails are making the adhesive raise up so I need to push it down otherwise the edge won't sit properly.
I totally just did this and it worked wonders!!! I had dust under mine from start!!
Hi!
Has anybody tried that one out yet? It's said to be quite durable and protective, but it's somewhat expensive compared to the regular screen protectors out on the market (as are all tempered glass screen protectors). I am wondering whether it will fit with the Spigen SlimArmor case which I am getting as well.
Here's the link to their site: panzerglass . eu
Sincerely,
vPro
can this even be purchased outside of Europe? I am unable to find them anywhere other than direct from their website...emailed to ask for additional info/photos of the G2 version -- will see if I hear anything back!

No, I bought a Spigen SGP Slimarmor case from Amazon uk. Got it delivered really fast, Spigen has superb customer service. Same goes for Panzerglass btw.
Well, I tried to install it this morning. And it didn't go that well. I had a hard time aligning it and when I took it off, I tended to put my nail under the screen protector in order to remove it. Then I contacted panzerglass and within 10 minutes they answered me. They told me that I damaged the screen protector by putting my nail under it :/ Anyway then he told me that he would send me another one (and I don't know if I am going to pay for it or not). Check attachment for picture of how it looked .
Feeling: This glass feels extremely good. It leaves NO fingerprints behind and is crystal clear. It doesn't seem to add much bulk, and it goes perfectly with my Spigen SGP case. It is, however, cut too small for the screen so it is (more than) case friendly.
I was wondering what you guys thought of the tempered glass screen protectors I have been using one since I purchased my phone and I like it but I bought a cheapie one on eBay (nothing wrong with eBay I'm just saying even for eBay it was a cheap one) and its not sticking on the edge. I paid a little more for my wife's GlasT on her IPhone 5S and its perfect. So basically I wanted know if you guys think something out there is better than the tempered glass screen protectors before I dish out the money on a better one. Or is anyone else using a tempered glass protector having the same problem with it not sealing all the way to the edge. A buddy of mine has an G2 as well of a different brand and hes said the same thing happened to his. It doesn't look terrible just a small area all the way around the screen where it's not making contact.

If you buy a decent screen protector you shouldn't have any problems. Just search Amazon for LG G2 protectors

UPDATE: I still have not experienced any edge-lifting. Note though, that i did NOT use the cleansing pad that they provided. I simply used alcohol and a cotton ball, no finger prints after cleaning whatsoever, then used the pink sticky film to remove all small particles from the cotton ball and any dust not seen by the nake eye.
But i will say though that the finger print resistance is almost non existant now. It really makes me appreciate how the stock glass is just that sweet. But all said and done, im satisfied to an extent.. if something comes out that is unanimously better than ill change.

I purchased the Panzer Glass for LG G2, so I am going to give a quick review of it. Please hit the thanks button if this helped you out.
Panzer Glass can be purchased in Denmark in various stores and online at smartfast.dk. You will be able to find Panzer Glass on eBay and I've also seen some German sites selling it. I don't know if you can purchase this and have it shipped internationally,
although I am willing to e-mail them in order to ask. I am not a reseller nor a worker, and I do not benefit from doing this review.
EDIT: Panzer glass can now be bought from Smartfast.dk internationally for a flat shipping fee of 4.95 EUR. Please check the end of this page for details on how to purchase.
The glass is 0.4 mm thick and has a really nice feeling. It's oleophobic coating prevents almost all fingerprints (although you will occasionally find the need to wipe your screen) and it feels like real glass. It is labelled as shock resistant and anti-scratch (9H hardness). The display is not distorted at all, in fact it is crystal clear and renders every detail perfectly. The glass is case friendly, although I find it TOO case friendly; the width of the glass is the exact same width as the lit pixels (basically screen without bezel), and if you don't align the screen protector properly it will be a bit annoying to look at. I recommend using the hinge method for installing it, but more on that later.
As previously mentioned, the screen protector feels really good. The sensitivity of the screen does not suffer at all from the screen protector.
I haven't done any drop tests, scratch tests or anything like that, but it seems to hold up really well. This is truly a premium quality screen protector. You can see videos on youtube how the glass holds up to scratches, hammer tests and drop tests. I've yet to seen it crack or shatter.
Tips for installing the screen protector.
Don't put your nail under it if you want to realign it, as it damages the sticky side of the glass. Also, DO NOT BEND.
Use the "hinge-method".
Without taking the plastic off the screen protector, put the screen protector on the G2 when it's still turned on. Align the screen protector with the screen. Grab some tape and tape it from one side only, thus making hinges so the screen protector can flip on and off the screen like a flipcover. Turn the G2 off.
Now carefully clean the screen from dust using the alcohol swab that is included in the package and dry the screen with the included microfiber cloth. Remove the plastic from the back of the screen protector and flip it over, allowing it to adhere to the screen. It should now adhere all by itself. Use the microfiber cloth to push out any bubbles.
If everything is OK, remove the tape and the plastic covering the face of the screen protector. That's it.
This screen protector is expensive compared to other screen protectors on the market, but I consider it a one-time investment. If it can prevent my screen from shattering and save my digitizer in case of a drop, I think it's well worth it.
PROS AND CONS
Pros:
Crystal clear screen
Olephobic coating that works as intended
Touch response is great
Easy to install
9H hardness
Supposedly shock resistant
Cons:
It only protects the lit part of the screen, but goes well with a case. It could probably be 1.5-2 mm wider and longer. EDIT: Just realised this is not possible since the glass curves. The lenght fits perfectly when the glass is properly aligned.
Feel a bit thick (but very sturdy)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
P.S. Pictures coming soon, I just need to find a way to take them!
Pictures?

I couldn't get my hands on a good camera so I just used my tablet's 5mpx shooter. Oh and it's a Chinese tablet by the way. The quality resembles a VGA camera from pre 00s.
I couldn't take pictures from different angle simply because it shows all black.
I've had the panzer glass on for a few days now. I have absolutely no issues with it, and it's really wonderful. It does sometimes pick up some fingerprints, depending on how "dirty" your fingers are, but wipe it off and you're good to go!
I haven't been as satisfied with any screen protector as I am with this.

Screen protector Condition is the very same as the moment I applied it. It has no scratches yet, despite the fact that I've not been very careful with my placement of the phone and I often put it on the table face down. I have no major issues with dust accumulating around the corners of the screen, but I do occasionally wipe the phone. The oleophobic coating does its job quite well but it doesn't mean you get rid of fingerprints completely. If you have very greasy fingers, it will not work as good.
I have only tried a few screen protectors but all I can say is that this one is most definitely the best I've tried. And it hasn't peeled off at the corners

I got it for what translates to 37 dollars which is a pretty high price, but it's also a premium quality that comes with the price! And in the end, if it really turns out to save the screen from cracks, It could save you the price of a new digitizer.

That is about the same as I paid. I'm sure you will enjoy it, but be very careful when putting it on, bro. It's best if you can find a place free of dust and lint and try to fit it perfectly the first time so you don't have to realign it, because putting your nail under it in order to realign it may damage the sticky side so much that it won't adhere where you nail has been. I've tried it.
Make sure you have plenty of time

I have got the Spigen Glas.t on my HTC One and I managed to apply it without bubbles and dust using a kind of "drop it on and pray" method and that worked out ok. With the hinge method now being revealed I should be fine. I'll just have to make sure I don't put it on with a hangover!
