A few questions:
- what are the latest ROM versions for the Qtek 9090?
- where can I find the latest ROM updates ?
- where can I find instructions for upgrading?
A problem I have is using ActiveSync via Bluetooth. I can setup both Laptop (Fujitsu S6010) an Qtek 9090 according to instructions found on the Internet, the bt connection (COM6, outgoing Qtek) is established, however, ActiveSnc does not connect and start sync'ing. Any ideas?

I changed my German Qtek 9100 ROM to the English K-Jam ROM.
The K-Jam ROM is running fine since over a week.
Since I never worked with the Qtek 9100 ROM I have a few questions.
I have problems uninstalling applications. I have tested several applications that have been written for WM5 (e.g. Resco Explorer, Spb GPRS Monitor,...) but wasn't able to uninstall the applications. I always get an error message that "not everything could be removed" and in reality nothing seems to be removed. The applications still run.
The second question is regarding the Dial-up Networking: Using my Qtek9100/KJam as bluetooth modem doesn't seem to work. It builds up a BT DUN connection but doesn't dial.
Does anybody know if this could be a problem of using a different ROM on my Qtek 9100 or is this a general problem of the KJam ROM.

Which ROM are you using?
I downloaded the K-JAM_WWE_1010903_106_10110_ship.exe from the XDA-Developers site.
I have the problem with Uninstalling programs. I use Qtek 9100 ROM WWE (with QTek device) available here at FTP.
I believe to have have found the problem.
It probably has to do with the Commontime mNotes which I use to sync my Lotus Notes calender and contacts with the Qtek.
Before I install mNotes I can uninstall any application without problems. As soon as I install mNotes some applications can't be uninstalled. After removing mNotes everything works fine again.
I installed mNotes 4.1.2 which solved the problem for some applications but not for all. I'm currently waiting for response from Commontime to see if this is a known problem.

Also have a problem when i try another Rom. It doesnt seems to work anymore when trying to flash. ActiveSync disconnects when trying to flash Rom. (is disconnects when the status bar is showing up)
did you fixed your wifi problem
did you fixed your wifi problem?
please let me know
thanks
Check your Router/wifi!!
I know this might seem really stupid, but I've had the exact same problem. Fortunately after hours of trying to solve it, I tried my wifes MDA Pro, which to my delight also couldn't connect via wifi.
My problem was exactly that. My wifi router needed to be soft-reset or switched off and rebooted!
It solved my problem. It might be the same for you. Incidentally, I am now running the same Qtek 1.6.7.1 ROM from T-mobile Vario ROM as you guys and I assure you it's not the ROM.
Give it a try if you haven't already. Additionally, I find after ROM updates, my wifi won't connect till I set the power slider (wifi settings to Best Performance).
Good luck.

Qtek ROM:
Rom Version: 1.6.7.1 WWE
Rom Date: 11/28/05
Radio version: 01.13.10
Protocol version: 4.0.13.24
ExtRom: 1.6.7.101
I have O2 XDA IIs. I am from India. Airtel is my service provider. I downloaded Win2003 SE. My ROM version is 1.40.00 WWE, Radio version is 1.12.00,
My problem is that after getting Win 2003SE on my O2 XSA IIs. I cant get my activeSync linked up. It says Error 608. I am upset as I cant upload or download data from my PC. Please help as I cant understand the problem.
do you mean wm2005 as wm2003se is supplied with the xda iis by default.
What version of activesync are you using?
What OS are you using?
How are you connecting to the XDA iis (USB, wifi?)
Have you any firewalls, etc enabled?
Have you tried reinstalling Activesync or any other diagnostics?
I have tried to install the firmware update to my SPV M2000 from the Orange web site, it now displays a white screen with USB at the top and v2.07 at the bottom when docked in the usb cradle. It displays serial when undocked. The device is recognised when attached via the usb so it is communicating with the laptop. I have tried several times to continue the update - RUU_V2.5_ORANGEUK_V5.40.1.179_SHIP and it always stops on error 101 not communicating with PC. If I use MAUpgrade_noID then I get ROM Upgrade utility error, not designed for your device. I am able to synchronise another SPV M2000 using the same cradle and laptop with no problem comunicating.
I have tried to download an image from clubmate but cannot register as I do not have an Imate device. Any advice or pointers gratefully received.
I think you just tried to flash ROM that is for differetnt device: There was no (and there will ne no) official WM5 ROM for BlueAngel. Experiments with MAUpgrade_noID were very dangerous. But if device still shows Serial/USB, you might be able to repair the damage.
Download any normal, proper ROM for BlueAngel and flash it. but it must be for BlueAngel, not for other deivces. Information on WM5 flashing procedure and links to ROMs you can find on Wiki. There is WM6 also available for BA.
hello everybody,
first of all i want to say that i'm pretty new to xda-developers and want to thank everybody here for this great site!
i've purchased the austrian t-mobile mda vario III (kaiser 120) a few month ago and today i did the first rom-flashing in my life - this would have been impossible without the great how-to's and guides you provide here, many thx!
but, for some reason, my activesync (4.5.0, build 5096) does not work after flashing.
things i did:
- installed hardSPL
- installed HTC WM6.1 (3.28.407.0 (Radio 1.65.16.25) original HTC GER (German))
after successful install, i disconnected from pc, deleted activesync partnership and connected again. the connection between pc and kaiser works well, but synchronization does not... for some reason. activesync shows the error: 85010014
i de- and reinstalled activesync already, same probs. does somebody encounter the same problems?!?
thx in advance for your help,
bau
bug fixed
hello again,
found the reason for this strange error...
... after deleting the partnership with the mobile device, outlook has to be in online-mode to establish a new partnership, if normally working via the exchange-server. because i've not been online the strange error appeared...
