Oh my god
First of all, which device model have you? GT-S5830 or GT-S5830i?
It's not normal, can you boot into recovery mode?
Edited: "Backup ROM" step 5
I follow this guide (using a samsung ace GT-S5830) and there is a difference in "Backup ROM" step 5 for me.
Backup ROM
1. You need ClockWorkMod download V.5.0.2.6 Here.
2. Copy ClockWorkMod to your SD Card. - Make sure you have the right Drivers, for your device to connect to the PC.
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Press Home + Power. - Press home first and hold it.
5. You will get to the stock recovery, Select flash a Zip. ***
6. After the flashing is completed select "Reboot the Device".
7. Press and hold Home + Power again. - This time the Recovery will look a bit different, more features.
8. Select "Backup/Restore".
9. And then "Backup". - This takes a while, go drink a cup of joe.
Click to collapse
*** For me there is no "Select flash a Zip" option, so I Selected "Update from sdcard", and then Selected the file "recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip".
Also, when my device booted, I opened the ClockWorkMod app and I make a backup from inside app.
The CWM V.5.0.2.6 is much better of the official. Smooth and problems free.

Don't think it's in the wrong section... just wrong title. The content is certainly Nexus 7 related...
@keifus.rahn ... you should edit your thread title. I suspect it should read 'Nexus 7 Update Failure Fix'.
