The new version of Bluetooth 1.6.0600 is now available at
ftp://xda:/BlueAngel/OEM_WWE_160_600.sa.CAB
I have installed it but I haven't tried it yet. I had no problem installing the cab manually or directly from the Extended ROM.
Does any one knows which are the corrected bugs in this version and what's new? Why this new version number (from 1.0.3500 up to 1.6.0600)? It looks like a major release to me. I hope it DOES solves the problems we have with Bluetooth and our Blue Angels.
Enjoy it!
ArtZ
thanks for this really a nice update
I can't install it! :x
It says that a dll is in rom and connot be overwrited ...
(how do you install using extended rom??)
Thanks
I guess Bluetooth has to be be turned "OFF" when you install the update.
I had no problem to install it. I will play with this update tonight at home
ArtZ
I tried with it off, even put it in the startup dir but it says the same error ...
Yeah!
Occur the same thing with me!
Can anyone say the reason for this?
It will be because of the ROM installed on int?
My device configuration is:
Rom Version: 1.22.00 WWE
Rom Date: 10/22/04
Radio Version: 1.06.00
Protocol Version: 1337.38
ExtRom: 1.22.126 WWE
Thanks.
If it can help, here's my device info:
Rom Version: 1.22.00 WWE
Rom Date: 10/22/04
Radio Version: 1.06.02
Protocol Version: 1337.38
ExtRom: 1.22.557 WWE

Hi,
i have the same problem.
the dll is in use or in rom
Thanks.
I have installed the cab in two ways as follows:
First way: I copied in my SD Card the OEM_WWE.160.600.ca.CAB and I launched from there with the Bluetooth turned "OFF" and all other communication ports closes ( No active USB for ActiveSync and/or Wi-Fi) and I had no problem to install it.
Second way: I have unlocked the Extended ROM and put the CAB there deleting the previous BT patches from the Belgium Extended ROM ver.557 (OEM_124_008.ca.CAB, OEM_Patche_12100401.sa.CAB, then, I deleted the two lines to install these patches in the Config.txt file to replace them the new CAB) and I had also no problems to install.
Hope that helps.
Regards,
ArtZ
Hmm..
Well. I got the same problem..
The file "\Windows\ace_ddi.dll" is in use or is in ROM.
What to do?
I had more of a problem even out of the cradle so I:
Renamed the files in the \windows
(My Resco Explorer complained that it was unable to delete but it renamed them any way
ace_ddi.dll
ahioem.dll
AudioGW.dll
BtCeIf.dll
BtCeProfiles.dll
BtCeStack.dll

BtPhoneIf.dll
btrez.dll
BTTrayCE.exe
FrontLight.dll
Keybddr.dll
Serial_BTUR.dll
Serial_Cmd.dll
Wavedev.dll
wbtapiCE.dll
Then I installed the Cab from \Storage\temp
Bluetooth Reports 1.6.0 Build 0600
I have not tested if it works
Has anyone tried this on an XDA II with 2003SE?
I'm tempted to install it if it works.
It Worked!! Had to renew a few more file but it is running now.
Thanks MDAIIIUser!
I have a Verizon XV6600 and tried this. For whatever reason it instantly makes the phone stop working. Also the Bluetooth starts but also instantly turns off with the following message: "The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficent driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can trun ON the Bluetooth Radio."
Before I install (and risk another Hard Reset and new System Setup) the key questions:
1) Does ist improve BT-headset voice quality or stability?
2) Does it include or work with the High Quality Audio Profile for the HP BT-Headphones?
3) What are the recognizable improvements over the 1.0.0.3500 stack?
Any answers available?
Before checking the forum again i made the same procedure described by MDAIII user .
I have tested with my HB60 headset and its working fine so far..
RE
Its NOT working on O2 XDA II with WM2003SE.
The whole thing hangs
How do I make the dlls visible in order to rename them?
I would like to install this on an XDA II but I cannot see the dll files in the Windows directory.
How do I make them visible in file explorer so that I can rename them?
RE
Just go to File Explorer --> Windows and tap the screen and hold it there. A box will pop up and you'll be able to see 'View All Files'

ALSO, I use a MAC with Missing Sync. :?:
In your case I recommend upgrading to the latest ROM.
most of the programs can be later re-installed using Activesync.
If you keep all item in PC's Outlook, you'll be able to sychronize them with 'fresh' device.
It's hard/impossible to preserve ALL programs and settings.
Hard resseting / flashing the device always require some configuration work after...
Good luck.
OK, It seems to be the "Album" program is missing:
I did some cleaning and, when I try to run ALBUM, I am now getting the error:
Album.exe- (Cannot find 'Album' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available.)
How do I download this program and where?
I need the slideshow with Vids and PICs.... I love this little usfull program!

just upgrade your device to new ROM
After I have tried a few weeks WM5 in different versions, I downgraded to WM 2003SE.
When I use the Extrom Tools I can see that there are a lot of CABs in that map. But they don't install. Noty even after a hardreset. It doesn't make any difference if I lock; unlock; hide of unhide the map. In my device information the field 'ExtROM version' is blanc.
The XDA is working perfect and it's also possible to install seperate CABs.
Who can give me a hint how I can solve this problem?
O2 XDA2S

Some WM5 versions use extrom like WM2003 in separate partition, but some of them uses a folder in SD card for extrom
Use the "cabinstaller" programm in WM2003SE.

Hi all,
to those of you who need an Operator-independent (AKA 'Clean'), stable, fast and space-saver ROM, i'm glad to offer my fully customized AKU 2.3, WWE 2.26 ROM.
It comes pre-loaded with the latest Compact Framework 2.0 SP1, Macromedia Flash 7.0, Intent MIDlet Manager, xnView Pocket, Total Commander 2, performance tweaks, freeware utilities, a new improved pocket IE start page and lots of ringtones, themes and Camera templates!!!
The programs and files I listed are integrated in the ROM so they don't waste any bit of your precious storage space.
EDIT: due to the problems with RUU (Rom Upgrade Utility) that many users have reported, i've re-uploaded the rom with two different RUUs, one for G3 users and the other for G4.
DOWNLOAD LINKS
G4 OWNERS (RUU 2.5.2):
LINK: ftp://xda:/Uploads/Wizard/Roms/RUU_RIsidoro_2.26.10.2_WWE+CF2SP1_G4.exe
G3 OWNERS (RUU 2.0.1): [NOTE: You MUST have both IPL and SPL version 2.xx]
LINK: ftp://xda:/Uploads/Wizard/Roms/RUU_RIsidoro_2.26.10.2_WWE+CF2SP1_G3.exe
How to tell which model you have:
- soft reset the phone and look at the IPL and SPL version numbers
- if the numbers end with .0001 (e.g. 2.18.0001) you have a G4
- if you have not the tailing .0001 (e.g. 2.18) then you have G3

Wow...2.26 roms are poping up everywhere! Now the time comes to choose one. As far as your goes does it come with the ability to remove the programs you listed? As well as the ringtones and themes? I hate having all of that stuff on my phone and not using it!

You cannot remove them BUT they're in ROM so they don't waste any space on your main storage. Moreover, the slipstreamed CF2 SP1 and Flash7 let you save about 6.5Mb of storage (or 2.5Mb if you install CF2 in SD card).
Anyway, choose the rom that best suits you.
Bye bye
Thanks for the quick reply...have you noticed any bugs/problems with your ROM?

No (fingers crossed).
Basically, it is the T-mobile US 2.26 ROM so it behaves just like any other t-mobile 2.26 ROM. I only added some files (i didn't touch any of the original files).
Try it if you want but remember: if you have a G3 phone then you must have both IPL and SPL version 2.xx to install this rom.
Bye
Sounds righteous dude! I'm looking forward to seeing the performance.
Thanks!
Hi guys.
Great work with all the custom roms. I have a problem with these english roms that i hope you guys can help me fix. I posted this in its own thread but i dont know if you guys read that som hopefully you will give me a litle of your valued time and see if you can help me out
I have been messing around with differnt rom versions on my Danish qtek 9100. There has been no new updates out in Danish for a long time and the phone is quite buggy. Anyways, i have tried multiple roms and they all seem to work well but my problem is that i need my danish keyboard to funktion with Æ Ø Å which are one my phone keyboard.
when I install the cab Default_Prodigy_Nordic_keyboard_1102.sa
from
ftp://xda-developers.com/Wizard/Extended_Roms/ExtRom_1030712_121_10410_Qtek_NOR_Ship.rar
The Æ Ø Å buttons on the keyboard works but The 4 point navigation "joystick" with the button in the middle stops working.
What can i do?
Also, how do i go about getting a danish T9
Thanks
Jacob
I'm interested in this ROM however I need a refresher regarding loading extended roms such as (ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Extended_Roms/cingular-ExtROM.zip) I've been spoiled with Roms that have always inculded the Cingular settings (thanks to Summiter).
Looks like this might be a better cingular setting file to run - http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=61619
Is it as easy as copying to the SD card and executing?
Wow, your ROM sounds great. I just flashed the Xelencin ROM, but I may redo it with yours. However, I have a question regarding the Radio version.
I just received a warrantee replacement phone from T-Mobile USA today. When I booted it up, it showed the following:
IPL 2.26
SPL 2.26
GSM 02.26.11
OS 2.26.10.2
I then flashed the Xelencin 2.26 ROM with this filename:
T-Mobile_RUU_Wizard_2261020_226_22511_ENG_US.exe
Upon rebooting, the following was shown:
IPL 2.26
SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.26.10.2
Your notes indicate that your ROM includes Radio version 2.25.11. Do you know what the difference is between 02.25.11 and 02.26.11?
I don't think I can get the 02.26.11 back now that I've flashed it. I didn't make a backup of the shipped ROM first.
I just flashed my phone from Cingular 2.26 Aku2.3 w/a2dp FULLY LOADED *BETA* to this one but i guess it did not work correctly. The phone works fine but there are no ekstra ringtone or program or anything like that. What could have happened?
Error 208
The rom looks very promessing, but something goes wrong... I receive an error 208. Anybody any idea what means?
Who can help the newby?
Thanks in advance!
I am very excited to try this, and read above about the Cingular extended rom as well, So i would install this and then run the Cingular Extended ROM to copy over some of the Cingular Settings that I may be missing?
Also what is diifference in this compared to the BETA 2.26 ROM that is out there!?

I've never heard of a 2.26.11 radio stack. Maybe it was taken from some t-mobile beta rom.
However we'll never know how it performed since you overwrote it

The rom upgrade process didn't work. The rom was not installed. Try flashing the rom again.
To avoid problems you can try to extract the content of the rom executable in a folder (use winrar: right click on the exe and choose 'extract here') and run newromupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe from there

Sometimes the self-extracting archive doesn't work well. The problem is NOT related to the rom; it's just the self-extracting exe archive.
To avoid the problem you must extract the content of the rom exe in a folder (use winrar: right click on the exe and choose 'extract here') and run newromupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe from there.

let me know how it goes...

Dangit. I was afraid of that. I didn't even think to backup my ROMs first since when it first booted, I just looked at the number briefly and thought to myself, "Oh, it already has the latest TMobile ROMs". But I did take a moment to jot down the numbers anyway. Then, a while later, after loading the Xelencin ROM, I noticed the numbers were different.
I wonder if the Tmobile download site has an updated download, of if this version only comes with warrantee replacements...
If anyone else gets a warrantee replacement phone, perhaps we can get the new 2.26.11 radio stack. I had my MDA replaced because the stylus wouldn't stay in and kept getting lost. Anyone else with that problem could get TMoUSA to replace theirs too.
As some of your have seen I have recently done a successful ROM reconstruction for Trinity (German GPS ROM).
Because this would not have been possible without mouseym's wonderful tutorial for Hermes, I decided to share the knowledge and my experience on the subject.
You can find my detailed tutorial in the Wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_HowtoReconstruct
If you have any questions about it, feel free to contact me. Or directly edit the Wiki, that's what it's there for.
Pretty good friend . But if I want to dump and reconstruct everything that my HTC p3600 has in it. RADIO,EXTROM,OS ... etc ?

Then you now know the first step
ExtRom can be unlocked and copied, easy.
Radio is irrelevant as there are plenty good versions out there. Why flash an old one. You could probably reconstruct ExtRom but like I said, its much easier to just copy its contents to SD.
Hello Zack
I dumped an Portuguese ROM weeks ago, but never could convert.
Tried your method, and when I do the rebuilt (buildimgfs) step, command prompt gives some error and doesnt create the BIN file
Can u give me a help?
Complete dump:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296182
And see this post for complete description:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1154907&postcount=8
This would be a much appreciated, because theres no ROM RUU available for portuguese anywhere. And some users after using the Dopod activated GPS rom want to get back to portuguese.
Btw, this dumped portugues doesnt have the GPS activated.
Is it possible to cook a ROM with GPS activated but with Portuguese language?
But this is for later, top priority for now is to build a RUU portuguese ROM from the dump I made, because there´s none available.
Thanks
Hi Drug_Store,
I have already converted your dump and sent it to mariocruz who successfully flashed it. I'll make a proper release today (OS only) so you guys can get your poruguese ROM back.
About your error:
You need to be a LOT more specific. "some error", what am I supposed to do with that? Also the step doesn't create the bin, it fills it. The bin is created in step 2. Before you run Step 4, make sure you have imgfs_raw_data.bin in workdir.
About putting GPS into non-GPS ROMs: I haven't put any research into this, I just know the Hermes guys tried this. You can check their forum and if you find details, let me know.
Like I said, expect the portuguese ROM later today.

About the error on Bin creation, is like when some app sudently closes on XP, he presents a little box with report error things.
I´ll post a printscreen later if u want.
Anyway, much appreciated for your kind help
The process will change for my proper ROMs. I'll edit the tutorial after I've done it.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure you did something wrong, maybe you didn't put one file into the correct directory.

0 partitions, 0 binary partitions
customerid=00000000 uniqueid= 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
CopyTFFSToFile(0x2140000, 0x800, Part02_1.raw)
any idea ?
EDIT : i said nothing !! this result is normal , i have not read after the wiki article, it's for that i believe the result was wrong
Thank you VERY VERY MUCH ZakMcRofl for all !!
i successfully done a complete os dump to my trinity , i can now test the others rom present here
now i'd like to do a complete release with IPL, SPL, RADIO/GSM and ExtROM
have you some explanation about that ? i have just to put the correct files in RomBaker ?
Did you dump it or reconstruct it?
A full release isn't current possible because you can't flash extrom (unless you use one from an official release).
What I suggest if you want to release something:
- release OS only if its without GPS (radio doesn't matter)
- release OS+Des' Hard-SPL+radio 1.38.00.11 if OS has GPS (SPL for security, radio because its the latest with GPS)

Sorry to bother you Zak, I've been reading long time the forum, and still unsure: May I reconstruct my Spanish ROM and change the Radio ROM and get GPS enabled?
There is not currently any RUU ES available, and I've read in the forum that either changing or upgrading ROM radio is NOT enough to get GPS enabled, so your proposal is only for users already sporting a GPS enabled ROM?
Still too confused about what is needed to get GPS in my own Trinity language.

i reconstruct the os (so only part02.raw) i dump just before with RomBaker
my os integrate the GPS
what's Des' Hard-SPL ?
can i dump and reconstruct my extrom ? if yes , can i modify it before reconstruct ?
EDIT : you said "you can't flash extrom (unless you use one from an official release)." , so my last question has no sense ?
@Looking Glass: reconstruction itself has nothing to do with GPS. In the german community we were lucky because two providers make (german) phones with GPS enabled. We dumped those roms.
For GPS you need two things:
1) GPS-enabled radio (no problem)
2) GPS-enabled OS (problem if no device exists)
So to get spanish GPS you have three options:
1) Wait until there's a spansih GPS-enabled trin and dump it
2) Try to put radio drivers into spanish ROM (see Hermes forum for research on that)
3) Try to replace the german language parts to spanish language parts. I'm not sure how WM5 handles localization, this may not easily be possible. mus_run suggested that.

Hard-SPL is Olipro's name for a bootloader (SPL) that allows flashing of unsigned Roms (and more). DES released one for Trinity:

About ExtROM: you can dump it but not reconstruct. The only option is to include an existing ExtRom.nb from any official ROM. We can't make our own.
Alternative is to make it readable (search for it) and copy out the cabs. You could then launch them manually later or supercid your device and write them back.
Depending on which ROM you flash you probably won't change your ExtROM anyways. To be sure you could extract the NBH you intend to flash, remove the ExtROM if any and flash. That way your original extrom stays.
Sad.....

Thanks for info.
So we are back again to the starting point.... NO ROM available, >> no GPS in your language.
I'm beginnng to drift to UMPC's: As soon as the form factor and the integration of phone capabilities converge, there will be no reason for that F____G Windows Mobile OS thing to exist.
If Apple does things right with Leopard OS putting a full version on its i-phone, the whole market may shift toward the idea: ONE single OS in all your devices. No more syncing, no more file conversions, no more data lost in the process... What a dream!

Why we are not able to reconstruct it, what is missing? I have applied reg tweaks and make it visible and copied the contents as you've said. But would really like to able to reconstruct an own ExtRom.

@ZakMcCracken
Can i use now the new prog (instead the other above) from olipro seen here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299659 ?
Thank you for your help
@turchino: Feel free to research the nb format for ExtROMs. You can read it, you can write it, but you can't flash it.
@extenue: You can use it, yes. But you should test it for yourself before you release to others.
