Hi
I just upgraded my QTEK 9090 from German to English and everything works great. There is only one problem, the keyboard layout doesn't fit anymore. Is it possible to change the keyboard driver?

I have a new i-mate pda2k with an spanish rom and i want to upgrate to de last english one. the problem is the keyboard.
There is 3 in the ftp but not in spanish. Any help?.

Try Resco Keyboard. I am using it for German on WWE.

I got it!. I do a cab file with the spanish qwerty keyboard information.

i've succeffully installed mamaich patch 3 wm5 and alla works fine.. but... there is a patch to recognize italian hardware keyboard?!!!!!
for on screen keyboard i've installed resco keyboard pro

is the italien hard keyboard different to (my) german ones ? I have a patch here to make QWERTZ working w/ the regular german layout.

I have just upgraded an italian qtek 9100 to latest qtek 9100rom. Everything is ok except keyboard layout. I didn't know italian qwerty was different from wwe. Any suggestion to change the keyboard layout to italian qwerty?

Please tell us ROM versions.. and post here link to newest QTEK 9100 ROM.. if newer then 1.6.7.1 :roll:
no newer, just 1.6.7.1

hi I got a french qtek 9100. I want to flash it to english rom but keep the french keyboard maping. can someone help please.
try this ROM it work fine
RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
flash with any english rom you like, then create into \HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\ new String value caled "Locale" with the value of "040C", and you'll have french laoyout. enjoy.

your solution works perfectly even on my Qtek 9100 with WWE ROM 1.6.7.1, indeed with french HW keyboard.
It is the perfect answer to a number of patches (including aekmap, which misses a complete french keyboard template as far as i know).
Two additional comments:
1. if you want the settings with Totalcommander to survive a softreset, remember to exit totalcommander before the Softreset;
2. the graphical keyboard on the screen remains in qwerty style (perfect to me!)

ROM : 1.6.7.1.WWE from the xda ftp site.

it works correctly with ROM 2.8, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY FUNDAMENTAL THAT, AFTER YOU HAVE CHANGED THE REGISTRY WITH TOTALCOMMANDER, YOU SOFTRESET BY KEEPING THE POWER BUTTON PRESSED FOR 5S! THE STYLUS IN THE SMALL HOLE IS NOT ENOUGH!
I believe this explains a number of problems that various people had...

I updated my Italian Qtek 9100 to WM6 English version and now all the keyboard buttons are different, it's possible to configure the english WM6 that will recognize the italian keyboard?
