the first is a very basic question: what means WWE ? (multilingual?)
the second is connected: is this rom in german?
my xda terra has already CE OS 5.2.1236 but the built 17741.0.2.1 ... is an update recommended?
Does the romupdate imply a radioupdate? i have already the higher version 02.85.90 ...

Ouch.
I'm sorry this is really 1236-core.
This is because i dont have Herald and haven`t possibility to check workability of this ROM.

Can this be flashed using Asergs methods? I only ask because most roms I have are OS.nb but this file ends in .nba

Hi guys.Its great to be here. k0ster thanks for the work. I got the nba file. Now the problem is how i am going to flash this file to my pda? Do i need to run a windows application. Because i just copy the nba file to my device and its not running. Also how i am going to backup my original rom? ın the case of failure how i am going to load the original rom. I have renamed it to OS.nb, and used the same tool as PDAVIET has, but after 20 minutes it is still at CopyFileToTFFS(OS.nb:0 , 0, 04400000), is there an solution for this? My PDA is still on now, so i proberly can rollback to a other version, but i want this clean version of windows mobile, not all the crap in other ROMS.

It worked, after 50 minutes it still didn't finished, so i decided to plug of the usb cable and do a hard reset (my pda was frozen), after that i got the bootscreen of k0ster's ROM! It works perfectly, only some minor things i don't understand:
I cannot use the ReTOUCH dialer again, if i install it and restart my pda, i don't get the TOUCH dialer, but only empty images. On the PDA VIET ROM it worked. Anybody idea why this is hapening?
To k0ster: Can you make some changes in this ROM or second ROM? I would like to have standard in the rom that .cab don't get deleted (This is a registery setting). And the Dialer skin etc is working.

Maybe the flashingprocess wasn't finished and you now run your PDA from a "half-baked" flashmemory ...
I'd recover it by applying a WM5 RUU and try to reflash again.

Just a word of caution, anyone upgrading to this rom or any cooked WM6 rom from another wm6 rom should downgrade to a WM5 otherwise you will experience a wide range of problems.

ROM is okay?
It seems like the rom is okay, but my phone is CID locked so i cannot roll back to Windows Mobile 5 en then upgrade to Windows Mobile 6. This should be working fine (ive upgraded before). Does anyone know a program to customize the rom?

I have the T-mobile wing. Do I need to CID unlock it first before upgrading to this rom.
and MOST importanty, how big is the page pool size?

CID unlock is not required if you upgrade using ASerg's method for flashing. Check out the txt file in the attached zip archive, and if you follow EVERY step(including flashing from Guest mode) it should flash without porblems.
AFAIK the pagepool on this ROM was C0 (which is 12MB) but I could be mistaken. Regardless of the PP size it is not that difficult to alter and would be glad to assist you if you are having troubles with Paul's guide at Modaco.

Nice one, but i really dont like the style of the HTC Home clock

I agree, i like your roms, because to work very well, but i really don't like al the visual crap you've added. I like one with the official rom like this, then the ORGINAL htc kaiser home screen, ORGINAL dialer pad etc, and a reduced poolsize, fix for keeping cab files after installation (like in all your roms). Can you make something like this?

I tried this ROM out, X-button issue appears to be fixed now. The only problem I'm having (still) is that on the 6 button HTC Homeplug, the weather never downloads correctly. I can install a different version over this one and then it downloads fine, but I lose all of the skinning that's been done to it which I sort of like. Anyone have a way to fix this, may have been discussed before.

something wrong with it (part 1), when i download it in Opera, it dl about 1KB and say it finish (it is corrupted) but in Firefox it downloads normaly .. other version i all dl in Opera and works wel. .. something wrong with it..

Hello i have a problem with this rom it wil not boot up, all the others rom's work fine but the v4.12.07.09 after update via ASerg Policies stays on the with screen. I have the wm5 allready installed, that works fine. and ill puth back the v4.12.07.08 see if that will work. did any one have the same problem ???

I don't know if I understood correctly but updates from a previous installed PDAVIET Rom usaly aborts with an errormessage while flashing. This errormessage is often overlooked and so people start their Heralds with half-flashed roms. This can't go right.
Personaly, I recommend to install an official WM5 or the newly released offical WM6 RUU PRIOR to installation. Then you can update to PDAVIETs version normaly.

First, don't forget I wouldn't be able to do it without cmonex-olipro work on the phone rom and radio. All radio work is from cmonex.
Disclaimers:
This rom can phone, receive calls, has gps, sound and sound recording.
Snapvue is completly removed, might be added later. Cab install and internet explorer, notes, media player must be added as if it was just liberated. Will provide a more complete rom later.
All tools are in windows folder.
To call, you must activate speaker after calling.
Headset doesn't work for microphone. You'll have to go public for now
HARDSPL must be applied
First you must flash the radio.rar, wait for reset
then the rom.rar
This is GSM,EDGE,HSDPA only, not for CDMA

For beginers: first install HardSPL (read forum for the proper link) then the radio, then the rom.
To install radio or rom, use the main prog, and run as administrator
For radio, it is "romupdateutility.exe"
for rom, it's customruu.exe
ALSO, YOU ARE FLASHING A RADIO, THERE IS NO OTHER RADIO POSTED ATM, AND I HAVE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL ONE. OTHER THAN THAT THERE IS NO OTHER RADIO AVAILABLE. IF A BUG APPEAR AFTERWARD BECAUSE OF IT, YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT.

Downloading the rom now, but mediafire keeps giving me a network timeout when I try to download the radio.
I'll keep trying... and I'll post rapidshare links when I can.
Edit - still can't grab the radio, either network timeouts or 'The document contains no data' errors.

The calling works perfect, audio is perfect on both sides of the call. However the sound is a bit low and you cant adjust the volume (bug?)

I'm getting a loud hiss from the speakers, when XP or Vista are running.
It goes away when rebooted, but comes back after a few mins - or it did once, it seems to have gone for now.
...10 minutes later, it seems to have cleared up. Hopefully just a hiccup.

instructions for radio flashing
My Shift is hardSPLed and I've tried out several ROMs, so the ROM bit looks familiar, but I'm not sure what to do to flash the radio. There are a load of files in the radio RAR, and I'm not sure which one or ones I have to run.
Sorry if this is a stupid question - I couldn't find anything on search.

TyTN II Hangs Randomly.. Please Help!

My TyTN II started acting weird within 2 days of purchase. It just "hangs" for 5-10 seconds every now and then. It's very irritating and I have to wait for it to get OK. This problem occurs at random many times a day.
Nothing works... Neither the screen nor any of the buttons when this happens. I have the stock Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM with not many applications installed: Esmertec JBed, Google Maps, SPB Insight Trial and that's about it I guess.
Please help!

You must change the SPL.
Go to the right thread and read how to install SPLs; you must find the compatible SPL with your radio...

Well... The shop really has no idea about what is wrong. Will have to take it to the service centre if required. A quick google search has revealed that the WM 6.1 ROM has problems. People have noticed that it gets fixed after they downgrade to a WM 6.0 ROM. I guess that is the only option left. Thanks anyways

He said he had the stock rom and that it was like that from the factory, so if it came like that then you shouldn't need to flash the SPL...
The spl upgrading/downgrading is for the cooked roms. (well for the people that had 6.0 orginally and have flashed to a cooked rom.. I think) and since this guys doesn't have a cooked rom and it's orginal then it shouldn't need the SPL upgraded.. It was a fix for the non legit roms.
So, here is what you need to do.. Backup your contacts and what not and then do a hard reset. Test the phone like that until you either have the problem again or feel that the problem is resolved. If it's resolved then slowly reinstall your programs. If it's still messed up report back to us or send it in for service.
I really don't think it's an spl problem.
Anyone with more then 4 post think otherwise?

Same here no bashin, SPL on stocks shouln't make a difference as when you get your new device it doesn't hang...
Another thing worth doing is keeping up with cleaning, using clear temp, i use memmaid too.

I am in (almost) the same situation and I would like to downgrade to WM6.0. Can somebody tell me where can I find the oficial WM6.0 (german) version and how can I make that downgrade (is the same procedure as upgrading?) ?

Downgrade procedure
Having recently downgraded to a WM 6.0 HTC ROM from a WM 6.1 HTC ROM I can list all the steps. You need to install HardSPL 1.0, then Run the KaiserRUU.exe for the WM 6.0 ROM which can be found at the botton section of this wiki page (although no German version is there - for that there is the reconstructed ROMs thread here or better still contact HTC and ask them to do it for you under warranty if it's behaving this way with no other software installed). This part is just like running the upgrade program. After that's done, you can change the hardSPL back to a HTC SPL but this last step isn't essential unless you'll be returning the device under warranty. The WM 6.0 setup in my sig gives good, reliable performance with little evidence of freezing and especially good GPS performance.
I know what the O/P is referring to because my Kaiser under the HTC WM 6.1 ROM used to exhibit this pausing (among it's many other problems), reverting to WM 6.0 seems to have solved that. As there is no German WM 6.0 ROM listed in the wiki and only a reconstructed ROM, I strongly suggest Conrad-007 uses the HTC warranty on this device (after testing it with no installed software first as ChumleyEX suggested), that's what it's there for and that's how I had my Kaiser reverted to WM 6.0 the first time (even though HTC were willing to provide me with a link to download the ROM itself). The fact I've had to revert my ROM back to WM 6.0 twice now should tell you something about what I think of the HTC WM 6.1 ROMs, especially as far as GPS performance goes. Of course the standard stuff of reading up all the sticky posts and ROM flashing related wiki to make sure you know what you're doing first apply.

I think flashing a Radio from another device is a bad idea.
If you really want to do that install HSPL or USPL and you should be able to do that.
For stronger WIFI connection you also have the send power option somewhere in the device settings.

i know this,i have already cooked roms and hspl also security unlocked NEEDED to flash radios from other devices,i want to try to see if i can have better phone reception at home.
if someone have experience with it please help me.

if your talking about olithingy unlocking security unlocked, ii think he said kaiser you could?

yes i think kaiser,kovsky en 2 other devices are compatible?
and if someone can give a solution here it would be nice then you can see it here

Ideally we need a page like this LINK Showing what radios will work. As it stands it looks like we are the only ones who want to know

just tried a Kovsky Radio and a diamond, Getting error codes on the top of the screen? Would be nice if Olipro had written a little bit about HOW to flash the radio lol

yes its the same for me ,it flash 4% then i have 404error core a think or something...
i think you need to rebuilt the radio to blackstone but i dont know how to do this???

this is what ive got from olipro:
so long as you're aware that the NBH header needs to be changed, you can use Diamond, Raphael and Kovsky.
be aware, it will let you flash a Topaz or Rhodium radio quite happily, but it will kill the device irrevocably.

oh and how on earth do you change that!

Doesnt work for me?

Going to close the other thread, This will be the main one atm i am at work using my phone as a modem. Kovsky radio was getting way to hot for my liking, Am using diamond radio while editing a kaiser and raphael radio.
Cedric i will pm you a link to modified radios to add to your first post.
Testing Raphael latest radio will send later when im on a broadband line and not HSDPA
