the first is a very basic question: what means WWE ? (multilingual?)
the second is connected: is this rom in german?
my xda terra has already CE OS 5.2.1236 but the built 17741.0.2.1 ... is an update recommended?
Does the romupdate imply a radioupdate? i have already the higher version 02.85.90 ...

This ROMupdate contain only OS, not IPL,SPL,Radio,ExtROM,Splash.

Ouch.
I'm sorry this is really 1236-core.
This is because i dont have Herald and haven`t possibility to check workability of this ROM.
Can this be flashed using Asergs methods? I only ask because most roms I have are OS.nb but this file ends in .nba
Hi guys.Its great to be here. k0ster thanks for the work. I got the nba file. Now the problem is how i am going to flash this file to my pda? Do i need to run a windows application. Because i just copy the nba file to my device and its not running. Also how i am going to backup my original rom? ın the case of failure how i am going to load the original rom. I have renamed it to OS.nb, and used the same tool as PDAVIET has, but after 20 minutes it is still at CopyFileToTFFS(OS.nb:0 , 0, 04400000), is there an solution for this? My PDA is still on now, so i proberly can rollback to a other version, but i want this clean version of windows mobile, not all the crap in other ROMS.

It worked, after 50 minutes it still didn't finished, so i decided to plug of the usb cable and do a hard reset (my pda was frozen), after that i got the bootscreen of k0ster's ROM! It works perfectly, only some minor things i don't understand:
I cannot use the ReTOUCH dialer again, if i install it and restart my pda, i don't get the TOUCH dialer, but only empty images. On the PDA VIET ROM it worked. Anybody idea why this is hapening?
To k0ster: Can you make some changes in this ROM or second ROM? I would like to have standard in the rom that .cab don't get deleted (This is a registery setting). And the Dialer skin etc is working.

Maybe the flashingprocess wasn't finished and you now run your PDA from a "half-baked" flashmemory ...
I'd recover it by applying a WM5 RUU and try to reflash again.

Just a word of caution, anyone upgrading to this rom or any cooked WM6 rom from another wm6 rom should downgrade to a WM5 otherwise you will experience a wide range of problems.

ROM is okay?
It seems like the rom is okay, but my phone is CID locked so i cannot roll back to Windows Mobile 5 en then upgrade to Windows Mobile 6. This should be working fine (ive upgraded before). Does anyone know a program to customize the rom?
I have the T-mobile wing. Do I need to CID unlock it first before upgrading to this rom.

CID unlock is not required if you upgrade using ASerg's method for flashing. Check out the txt file in the attached zip archive, and if you follow EVERY step(including flashing from Guest mode) it should flash without porblems.
AFAIK the pagepool on this ROM was C0 (which is 12MB) but I could be mistaken. Regardless of the PP size it is not that difficult to alter and would be glad to assist you if you are having troubles with Paul's guide at Modaco.

Ok, I read that thread and didn't find any useful information. The conclusions it leads to are
-no one has successfully installed this rom
-the new rom does things which we don't know about

I hope you didn't hear that on the HOFO thread, because that was me speculating, and I have no evidence for it - just a hunch.
However, I would also like someone to verify. :wink:

If you own a sx66 then this upgrade is for you and should be a better one than your last.
Others out here see the 1.35, get excited and hope to install this upgrade on a non siemnes devices. When they try this they come upon the "Password issue" which in short says that you cant use that upgrade with the tools that are found on this site.
Check wiki for a better understanding.

Sorry I am new to this.... how would I upload just the extended rom?
You'll first need to unlock your Extended ROM.
Download this file and run it on your SX66:
http://www.beyondthetech.com/downloads/phone/modding/BA_ExtROMTools.cab
Then go Start > Programs > ExtROM Tools > Unhide.
Reboot your SX66, then you'll see a folder called Extended_ROM. Copy that out to your desktop, then up to the FTP site at
ftp://xda:[email protected]
Just in case you didn't know, this folder contains the first programs and settings that it runs upon a hard reset.
Please let me know when you're able to do this. Perhaps somewhere in there is the key to resolve my annoying "05"-text-message-for-voicemail notifications issue.

I did notice that the radio stack isn't as updated as some of the other stacks out there. I'll test it for a while, and if necessary, 'upgrade' back to the higher version.

I've downloaded this update. It has the same bluetooth version as 1.31WWE, no WMP10, but several DLLs like btagsvc.dll are newer. Radio is 1.02, which is obsolete.
Format of NBF files is changed, I've explained it in "hacking" section.
Extended ROM contains old apps, the only useful thing is WLANPatch.CAB. I don't know what RestartRadio.exe and AddContacts.exe programs do, maybe they also worth installing.
I've uploaded this update converted to the old NBF format to ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/1.33.10WWE-from_SX66/
I have not tested it, so use at your own risk!

Restart Radio turns the radio on and off and addcontacts add's cingular's customer service and some other contacts, so I would definately say they are not needed.

No SIM lock, using my AWE SIM;
Not sure how to check DUN;
NOTICEABLE better performance with BT headsets, Mot 810, 820 and Jabra 250, MUCH better, clear sound, cracking and static is GONE;

Nice one, but i really dont like the style of the HTC Home clock
I agree, i like your roms, because to work very well, but i really don't like al the visual crap you've added. I like one with the official rom like this, then the ORGINAL htc kaiser home screen, ORGINAL dialer pad etc, and a reduced poolsize, fix for keeping cab files after installation (like in all your roms). Can you make something like this?

I tried this ROM out, X-button issue appears to be fixed now. The only problem I'm having (still) is that on the 6 button HTC Homeplug, the weather never downloads correctly. I can install a different version over this one and then it downloads fine, but I lose all of the skinning that's been done to it which I sort of like. Anyone have a way to fix this, may have been discussed before.

Hello i have a problem with this rom it wil not boot up, all the others rom's work fine but the v4.12.07.09 after update via ASerg Policies stays on the with screen. I have the wm5 allready installed, that works fine. and ill puth back the v4.12.07.08 see if that will work. did any one have the same problem ???

I don't know if I understood correctly but updates from a previous installed PDAVIET Rom usaly aborts with an errormessage while flashing. This errormessage is often overlooked and so people start their Heralds with half-flashed roms. This can't go right.
Personaly, I recommend to install an official WM5 or the newly released offical WM6 RUU PRIOR to installation. Then you can update to PDAVIETs version normaly.
Has anyone tested any of the ROM's featured here on a Orange UK Jade 110 device.
There are many here that look great, Thanks to all the Chef's. But I don't want to risk it if it has been tested yet.
I have extracted my Jade 110 ROM already and started cooking myself, but being a beginner I am very wary, just in case I mess it up.
Any feedback would be great.

I also have a Jade 110.
I've flashed a couple of ROMs without any problem. For me, the best is the Tommy's WWE 3.9b ROM. It works like a charm!

I had that as well and I think its due to the HARDSPL not knowing what a jade110 is, still on mine it said it wasnt for my device but did i want to continue and I clicked yes and all is well phone has hardspl on and after that id imagine any jade rom would be fine. Im using the pdaviet 6.5 one and it flashed fine first time once i had successfully applied the hardspl.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530620

Very good ROM But i think i have found a bug:
I can't access any websites in IE, i can connect to GPRS but no "connection". The ActiveSync logo is still visible after disconnecting from the cradle, but with an X under the 2 arrows, is this why the GPRS don't work properly?
Also, a little noob-question? What does the different RAMDISK-sizes mean?

sorry for the noob inquiry. i've had a himalaya for under a week and its my first time to upgrade from windows 2003 to this rom. it doesn't have a letter recognizer in messaging. tried searching but i can't seem to find the cab. i tried downloading and installing fingerkeyboard v2 for vga but it messed up the screen alignment on my pda. i had to switch to ather 6.1 to fix the problem. how do i get and install letter recognizer or a big touch keyboard or keypad to this rom?

I think it is deleted from 6.5.x builds. 6.5 21884 have it.
I think it is not needed because you could type faster on keyboard.
You can install ezInput as default input method, it works well here.
If you can't find correct version I could upload one which works.

I don't get it I tried to install this rom and it always hangs on the startup screen. what I'm I doing wrong?

thanks for the suggestion. i downloaded ezinput 1.5 no keyboard vga cab together with its language pack. the cab won't install because of untrusted certificate. i installed sdk certs but the ezinput cab still won't install. hoping for other suggestions. thanks.

The one I have is a Qtek 2020, and I managed to install several other roms in it.
This one I tried and it won't go past the qtek splash screen.
I put it in bootloader and the update was successful, when I reset it, nothing...

When you get into bootloader, there should be an info about version, could you tell me?
I really think you have wrong phone.

2. connect your diamond via acticesync with your pc
3. sync your diamond with your pc and save all data from your diamond
4. start the downloaded file (HTC Touch Diamond_MRII_RUU_Diamond_HTC_G....Ship.exe) and follow the wizard
5. your diamond will be flashed after 5-10 min.
6. After that setup your phone and sync it with active sync.

Can u give me a good rom 6.1 one..
If you don't want to use the stock rom (www.htc.com), you can use a custom made rom.
I use this rom:

Its a compromise between speed and comfort. It's very stable. You can also use a WM6.5 rom and/or with Sense 2.1/2.5, but you diamond will working slower and you will get ram problems.
Befor flashing you should install HardSPL (look in the thread I've got you.

The paki's rom is available in german, italy, netherland, spain and english (wwe).
Please go to www.htc.com, select on the upper right corner your country, go to support, select your phone type (htc touch diamond), select downloads, select the category (rom-upgrade) and download the latest rom.
Then you should have the right language.
aawww now i understand the (wwe) mean english hihi
btw dnt have my country in htc site...

Well, this rom certainly isn't english, it's dutch (my native language).
Anyway, you won't be able to flash any rom in another language then the one that's on the phone unless your phone has been unlocked for it, and i don't mean it has to be sim unlocked but it has to have had HardSPL.
To succesful flash HardSPL you must be prepared for some serious reading (to avoid bricking your device), this thread is a good point to start:

i have flash my phone with this roms wwe one its very bad man..
the start is different very bad and i have got in the htc site i select united kingdom
then i put my s/n it say (Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.) why that??th uk one will be in english how to get it..

What is the problem with the paki's rom? I use it now for a few weeks and I had no problems. So If you have problems, then please discribe it, so we can help you.
If you can't get the stock rom from htc.com, then you have to go to the provider of the phone (O2, vodafone, orange, t-mobile).
The start menu is different in the paki's rom :-( :-(
is there any other roms 6.1???
i like the 6.1 koz the start system its like windows
but the paki's is like 6.5:-(

I think you could disable the new startmenu in paki's rom, but I don't know how.
But I have another rom for you, that I had long time on my phone, it works also very good and stable:

Here you can find a cab to disable the manila-startmenu and convert to the WM6.1 standard-menu: "Gen.Y Disable Manila Start Menu R2"
