Problem while using xda3nbftool.exe

Today, I've download a Dopod rom "ba_dopodcht_12406_110_10600_ship.exe"
Afterward, I've unzipped the exe file to several files.
Before ugrading my Eng OS to Traditional chinese, I try to fix the country ID error first.
However, while execute ,
"xda3nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0X2004030522"
The screen prompt out such error,
"Warning: this does not look like a nbf header, possbile you provided the wrong password"
I think it is the 0X2004030522 problem, would there anyone can told me how to solve it or the correct password for those 3 nbf file?

Old tool wont work on type 2 encription found in that rom.
New tool is not out yet.

Then, if nothing to do the files, country id error appear.
So, how can XDA 2s user bypass the country ID error ?

Hello MDAIIIuser, it is implied that no matter the upgrade.exe (shipped) is originally design for which country, using the special method can bypass the country id error ?

Well if you want to read it that way the answer is yes,
but if it does not work then the answer would be no.
I Never tried it!

The method is working allways when the device is still running.
However when the device is jumping into bootloadermode then it checks again.
With some upgrade files it works when it is in bootloader mode and with some other updates it wont work when your device is in bootloader mode.
It does work with o2 and with latest update from qtek.nu
I am scared to try i with chinese versions since i can't read chinese

I already try few times but not working,evem I try to used others tools in here still get error.

Dear All and MDAIIIUser,
Chris and me has been test this special method [CheckCEID_type]=1 on the dopod version.
Unfortunately, it fail and the country id error has been appear again.
1) The xda3nbftool can't work and prompt the password is incorrect
2) CheckCEID_type =1 still can't work.
Do any expert can help me , how can we upgrade our device to Dopod version ?

I have upgraded my i-mate PDA2K with de file (from i-mate web site) RUU172126WWE_imate.exe ,but I had problem with the phone ,it shuted down,and I couldn't turn it on , the black i-mate screen showed v2.02 and sometime nothing !!!so I decided to re-install de update file. This second update process stops with "ERROR 105 – this update is not desigtned for your dvice".i tried many times with no success at all, always the same ERROR 101.connection error... the power light is red!!!
Could anybody help me to fix this error? I would like to upgrade to the latest version and get my PDA up and everything running. plzzzz help me

Try using a rom that is for your device for all others will turn your phone into a paper wheight as you have noticed.
you need to download a rom that is from your carrier and start again.

Download a rom that is from your carrirer and your device, ( You say its a I-mate) you also say you are in france and I know of no frensh roms.
As you are stuck in bootloader, run the ship.exe as is, it should find the device.
Look nobody can help you if you tell us nothing. What do you mean by card. Have you read anything in wiki ?

i am also stuck in bootloader and sysnc cant detect my xda. i hav tried upgrade from nb1 file from mda but getting section 3 error upgrade not allowed. i need xda IIs nb1 file to use xda card boot. can anyone help me and put his xda IIs rom on ftp or pm me.

We really need more info. This is like asking to a mechanic: My car is broken, can you replace the engine...
So: What PDA do you have, what ROM versions installed, what version did you try to install, etc. etc.
But more importantly, have you read wiki?

i tried to install o2 rom 1.31 and previously there was 1.06. bootloader is v 2.06. now when i switch it on it is in serial mode. i hav tried to install shiped roms but no one detects my pda on sysncronous. i hav tried to use mda III rom using sd card but it says section 3 upgrade not alowed. tried o2 himaliye nb1 file it says trying himaliya upgrade on blueangle not alowed. this means i need nb1 file of XDA IIs. thanks

Error when trying to install

Sorry if this question has been answered, but I couldn't find anything on this...
I'm trying to install WM2k5_v4_R3 of the Ivan type upgrade.
I followed the directions and it gave me an error 100: model id error
I have the HTC Blueangel - PH20B1 B1 WWE
Everything that i have read said this upgrade works for this model. Any help would be appreciated.

did u use the sx66 .bat file or the normal (u need to use the sx 66 one as u have a ph20b1)

Do you know the name of the program? I just used the buu file...

Put your device in bootloader and try again.
Every upgrade works when your phone is in bootloader.

Downgrade from Mr Clean rom

Can someone help me to downgrade from this rom.
I would like to put back my original one.
I already tried and I didn't managed. I have a Qtek 9100 so normaly it is unlocked.
When I tried to downgrade a got a message 296 saying that the rom is not usuable for my device.
Can someone give me the correct procedure to downgrade..

Downgrade to Button's 1.05 available Here !
Then you can "upgrade" it back to the shipped version.

Its 6 in the morning for me now in paris. I give up for now. But I have crashed my spv 3000 trying to downgrade it with a link somebody gave at some point on this site. I think I can just put back the 2.17 IPL and SPl Roms I have. But its a real bother. Anyone can help, so I can do this CID unlock., and then and only then pgrade my rom...

That file you were given is good. ROM files are no longer posted here per M$'s request.
Typically when the install "hangs" it due to a problem with the PC, spyware would be my first guess. Also it's amazing what deleting your Windows temp files and running a CHKDSK /F can do. Try with another PC.
btw, there's a couple of good tutorials that deal with unlocking G3 devices ..

hey, im new to all this, the tutorials dont make sense to me, atm i know my device is:
-tmobile mda vario
-unlocked
-G4
and is rom verion 3.8.2.1 wwe
i tried to upgrade it with SNN Diamond edition, but when ever i tried this, i got to the part where it starts to flash, the mda vario screen goes to the screen with the three colors but then on my laptop it just crashes and seys something about it is not responding and you have to close it, i have tried with other roms, but same thing occurs
can someone plz help meee

You have to use SoftSPL, you can get it HERE
In this folder, you copy the "nk.nbf" of your favourite WM6 (and only this file), then start with "START-sSPL.exe" (make sure you're connected via ActiveSync).
When you read this here before, you know everything you need!

Probably you are not following the instructions and doing it correctly,try to go according to the guide,if it still doesn't work,it sometimes happens that SoftSPL fails,than you better do it through 'HardSPL'
