I've installed Mr Clean's ROM (excellent job, worked perfectly) then added some of the T-Mobile UK CABs from the new 2.4 Extended ROM:
MP_Customization_TMUK_Wizard(AKU2.x)_060420.CAB
MP_PictureVideo_reg_signed.CAB
MP-Shorcut-MMS1-JAVA6XX-CV-VOICE-EmailWiz-TMO-051215.CAB
P_UA_TMO_Wizard_Mar09.cab
PP_Connection_WIZ_TMUK_22102109.CAB
Signed_DiscoButton8.sa.CAB
Signed_Region_TMOUK_Wizard_Dec29.CAB
Most stuff now works fine, but not pic message sending, and I'm getting a message on re-booting about 'elatepushservice cannot be opened'.
Any thoughts on which other CAB I also need to install?
Cheeres,
Andre
I solved the MMS send/receive issue; I think the GPRS authentication setting needed to be PAP, not CHAP as it was set to. No idea what the difference is though, or which CAB is meant to set it.
Now all I need to do is get rid of that error message on bootup. Any ideas?
Andre
I thought someone might have commented on this? Anyway, I found there was a link in the Startup folder that was calling elatepushservice and thus causing the error message. So I removed the link, obviously one T-Mobile CAB had setup the link but not installed the program. It now boots cleanly.
Andre
I have a 8125 on cingular and have installed Voice command and Omapclock plus and i am getting a cannot start pushclient.lnk error on a soft reset. I tried moving the link from the startup folder but I still get it. Is this a similar issue?

I rather doubt it, mine was a link in startup which was pointing to a program which didn't exist. Yours seems like the opposite, something is trying to find a link but not seeing it.

Hello all,
I'm not sure how I've done it, but I seam to have made my phone only run signed applications. Other than splatting it (I'll have to find out how to do that in a bit) how can I undo this? I take it this is a reg setting somewhere? Does anyone know which, and if I can get a signed reg editor, or one that runs on my computer?
Cheers,
Mike

hmm ... that is funny never ran into that before. I don't know about a signed register editor but can you run kaiser tweak?? it has an option to disable security warnings for unassigned apps. If all fails try doing a hard reset (back up important data first).
During the last couple of days, everytime I try to update the GPS data, QuickGPS gives the message "COnnection failed. Please try again later".
Please note that Internet is working in all the programs.
Did anyone else get this?
Same here, no idea how to fix it.
Sorry for this, but I really need to bump this
Lack of QuickGPS is very annoying. Does it work for everybody else? If so, perhaps somebody could post his/her relevant registry entries please?
Mine works perfectly well, just updated the info now.
Up untill 3 days ago i could only update through gprs and NOT through wifi.
Then it changed so now i can update only through wifi and NOT through gprs.
I tell you these devices have their own brain!!!
OK, I did a hard reset and now it works - but hopefully you won't have to. I saved the registry state immediately after the reset - so compare these values with yours. Perhaps the solution is there.

Thanks Pedmond,
For the posting of the default registry.
I hit the same problem as well, and attempted to recover from the problem by playing around with the registry based on your post. I attempted the values for older versions of QuickGPS. Alas, all my attempts are futile.
Like you, I need to do a hard reset to recover. So it appears that this version of QuickGPS utilises stuffs beyond the registry.
In any case, should the problem reappears, I was thinking of downloading the Xtra.bin file from xtra1.gpsonextra.net and update the file (in /TEMP and /Windows) and time stamp in the registry manually.
Cheers.
same damnation here.
i've tried a hard reset... nothing happens.
what does make it stuck!?!?!?!?
i'm going crazy.
solution needed.
PLEASE.
After I've tried with different registry settings without luck, I've found on another forum a workaround that solved the "Could not connect. Try again later" issue. I though to share it:
1. Open IE (this is what I've tried, it might work with Opera as well) and access Internet (any WEB page you want). This is for "activating" the Internet connection, doesn't matter if it's on WI-FI, Active Sync, GPRS, etc.
2. Open QuickGPS and click "download". Now it should work.
This is NOT preserved even after a soft-reset, I've checked.
P.S. I've posted this on the other thread as well (QuickGPS and 1.93 ROM)
same problem here. the only way to update is when sync with PC.

It works like a lighting strike!
I don't know why, but it works , maybe a sticky one for all of us (those who search for "normal solution" round 'n round )?
Thank you so much (i hope to discover why does it work )
Update region for QuickGPS to work
I noticed that the registry key HKLM\Software\HTC\QuickGPS\region was set to "IN" (for India). I changed that to "US" and QuickGPS has started working. I can click on Download and it downloads and updates remaining time correctly.
Odd, I checked my registry also because I was having the same problem. But my region was --, changed to US and worked like a champ
hello,
if i understand you right, it was only a region problem?
ouagh , grrrrrrr, $%##
i have the problem after i think that my diamond was perfect,
with very spend of time for installation and a backup at the fault time ...
this was a realy good tip for me for the next time
thank you.
okokur
can´t get it to work at all, suddenly I couldn´t connect with QGPS anymore. Tried IE fix and changed region butno luck at all. any other ideas?
is there a way to reinstall the program?
After I install BB Connect I can't update QuickGPS. Any1 the same problem?
dunno if this is a duplicate post, delete it if it is. i couldn't find this solution, what i did find is that if you simply go into your regedit program and go to hkey_current_user/software/htc/manilla and change the value in http.ignoreproxy from 1 to 0, and it will work. dont know if anyone has had this problem but i sure did. i'm new to this stuff anyway. xda is the ish though.
nice find.
Will give it a try as i had turn turn off the proxy in the end to get weather to work and also opera wouldnt show facebook with it on.
how to modify registry??
you have to use a regedit program, either installed on your device or your desktop. just google it. btw i used CeRegEditor installed on my desktop for this tweak.
I don't hve any key as such in the registry "http.ignoreproxy" do I hve to create it...
I, don't get it:
I successfuly changed the key from 1 to 0, then I check the registry key and it still shows 0, but when I try to update weather it displays Connection failure, then when I check the registry key it has changed backed to 1.
Any ideas anyone?

After you attempt to update weather, the key should have created automatically..

thankyou sooo much you have solved a year long problem that i have been having with my diamond and i just found this thread i really appricate it!!!
Using the Reg editor program go to :hkey_current_user/software/htc/manilla and change the value in data.autodownload from 1 to 0
When ever I send a text message, I get the correct time I sent it, but when I receive a text message the time of when I received is completely off. I know this is wrong because I tested it with my friends phone. Anyone else have this problem or knows how to fix it thanks.
Try to do a registry edit.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
Then add a dword key called "TrustTimeZoneField" and give it a dword value of 0
Then soft reset.
See if that helps.
Sorry, but I'm completely new at this. How would I even go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE? Is this through the xperia itself or through the computer?
You'll need to install a program that can edit your phone's registry.
Something like this:
http://www.phm.lu/products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
After you have it, you should backup your registry in case and be careful of changes you make since you could end up needing to hard reset. But really, you just navigate to where I posted and then create the new path. This should fix the SMS times for future messages.
I followed your instructions, but my problem still persists. Anything else I could do?
When you go back into the registry, do you see the new entry made (with the exact name and value)? Did you soft reset?
Hi, i had the exact same issue, the phone had changed time zome to +3 instead of +2 (probably igo8 messed it) and i kept receiving sms with wrong time..!! check it that it is correct..!
was pointed to this thread since I opened another with the same issue. I downloaded PHMRegEdit and tried to install it. It went through okay, but doesn't seem to want to install onto my phone itself. Had problems installing other programs through the same thing. Only way I've had any luck installing programs was with moving CAB files over and installing them directly on my phone.
So, without being able to change my registry, I did try to see what would happen with just changing the time zone. Tried a couple different ones and if I went to -1 instead of -5 (eastern Canada here) then it showed the right time. But as soon as I went back to -5 it changed all the inbound times again. Really weird since this is only on inbound messages and not outbound as well.
got it. Had to use a different program, but it worked.
what different program did you use? Because I'm still having trouble with my inbound messages.

CeRegEdit. Works from your computer. You plug in your phone and it can grab the registry from your phone, edit it, save it, and soft reset it, all withing Windows on your computer. Nice little program.
This is my value:
Value name:
TrustTimeZoneField
Value data:
0
Base:
Decimal
Value Type:
REG_DWORD
Did I do something wrong?
yea, that's what I have. After I added it then my texting time was fixed. Though I don't know why this registry isn't in the ROMs to begin with.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
and you add it right there. I know there are other folders to expand, but you don't put it in the other folders, you select PhoneSettings on the left hand side, then on the right you'll see all the registry lines like
Enable3GLongNamePrefix
Last_SMS_Tick
LongNamePrefix
PhoneSettingExt-DLL
etc, etc
My TrustTimeZoneField is the last one on that list with the REG_DWORD of 0
i googled and found bestRegEdit version 1.00 as what is writen in the about of the program www.smartphoneware.com search there its a trial but it will solve ur problem....i have the time fixed but there is 6 to 10 min pluse wish i helped
Thanks everyone, for some reason the inbound text message times are now correct. Turns out it now works because I had to remove my battery to change the sim card, then when I turned my phone on, everything has been corrected.
