Mr Clean + some T-MobUK 2.4 CABs can't find elatepushservice - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

I've installed Mr Clean's ROM (excellent job, worked perfectly) then added some of the T-Mobile UK CABs from the new 2.4 Extended ROM:
MP_Customization_TMUK_Wizard(AKU2.x)_060420.CAB
MP_PictureVideo_reg_signed.CAB
MP-Shorcut-MMS1-JAVA6XX-CV-VOICE-EmailWiz-TMO-051215.CAB
P_UA_TMO_Wizard_Mar09.cab
PP_Connection_WIZ_TMUK_22102109.CAB
Signed_DiscoButton8.sa.CAB
Signed_Region_TMOUK_Wizard_Dec29.CAB
Most stuff now works fine, but not pic message sending, and I'm getting a message on re-booting about 'elatepushservice cannot be opened'.
Any thoughts on which other CAB I also need to install?
Cheeres,
Andre

I solved the MMS send/receive issue; I think the GPRS authentication setting needed to be PAP, not CHAP as it was set to. No idea what the difference is though, or which CAB is meant to set it.
Now all I need to do is get rid of that error message on bootup. Any ideas?
Andre

I thought someone might have commented on this? Anyway, I found there was a link in the Startup folder that was calling elatepushservice and thus causing the error message. So I removed the link, obviously one T-Mobile CAB had setup the link but not installed the program. It now boots cleanly.

I have a 8125 on cingular and have installed Voice command and Omapclock plus and i am getting a cannot start pushclient.lnk error on a soft reset. I tried moving the link from the startup folder but I still get it. Is this a similar issue?

I rather doubt it, mine was a link in startup which was pointing to a program which didn't exist. Yours seems like the opposite, something is trying to find a link but not seeing it.

Need CIngular 8125 CAB file for customization

I tried doing a search first but couldn't seem to find. My 8125 appears to have become corrupt in the text message sending. I just have a folder called imp.root. I see messages come in - but if I don't grab them with the announcement they are lost forever.
Does anyone have the cingular customization cab the comes on the ROM that sets up the text messaging, mms and wireless? I would like to try installing it and seeing if this fixes it----unless someone else has heard of this and has another solution.
Thanks for any help or the file.

Internet Explorer kills my TyTN II

Hi folks
I'm unable to use Internet Explorer on my Kaiser as it freezes the device as soon as I try to visit any website. It hangs with the "Opening..." status message
Does anyone know a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
Have you changed the location that PIE stores temp internet files?

In your settings find disable proxy button, this worked for me.
Thats because temp files and cookies are being stored on the mem card
both of you are assuming things.
I also used to have that same problem. I then replaced a webview.dll file and that solved the problem. I think that the .dll was supposed to help something with PIE opening large website or something like that. It's been awhile but if you search for it you should be able to find it. Not sure if this is the same solution for you but you can try it.
I did not change the temp file or cookie location. The proxy settings where not tampered with either. IE simply began freezing after a few months
I did however manage to find a temporary solution. If I rotated the screen by sliding out the keyboard, back and forth, it did work at times.
Now that I've updated to HTC's new WM6.1 ROM everythings back to normal again
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Corrupt undeleteable SMS/MMS Affecting Garmin Mobile XT

I have a corrupt sms or mms message that I cannot delete from my inbox. In the title it says "Null". When I try to open Garmin Mobile XT, there is a "null exception" error. I know the two issues are related. This happened last month. I reinstalled the Rom, and it worked fine, but now I've got another undeletealbe message, and again I'm getting the "null exception" error when I open Garmin. Short of reinstalling the rom for the second time in a month, does anybody have any advice for how I might be able to clear my inbox. Is there some sort of software that will latch onto the file and erase it? Thanks. I've searched and searched.
I am having the same problem and I have not found a solution yet either...its really starting to work on my nerves

use BSB Tweaks to overcome..
you can downloat it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305
I had an issue on my old Asus P535 which there is a phantom sms in my outbox which is not accessible. Used fixunreadcount.cab

Text message always says 1 message!

Hi all,
I have the HTC Pure. I got a few text messages at once and my phone slowed waaay down. I deleted the 3 messages that I had, however all but one of them were marked as read.
I called AT&T who in turn called HTC and said that this is a known issue but they have no fix in place and not planned.
So now, my phone always says I have one new text message, and I went and "cleaned" all of my messages; sent, draft, inbox, and deleted.
Does anyone know of a fix or a registry key that I can edit so that I don't have to do a hard reset?
Thanks!
I think it is just a problem from your current ROM .
Like such question , I will suggest you to flash a new ROM or install a new SMS APP.
it is easy to fix the problem after you change ROM
I've been having the same problem, and we are not alone...see thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584623
I know I can cure the problem by re-flasing the ROM, but I was hoping for a less painful solution......plus there is no guarantee the problem won't happen again.
I have had this with emails before. Here is a program which fixed that. I'm not sure if it will work with SMS, but you can try....
Looks like a DB corrupt... The count is in the registry but also in the DB...
If you have a DB browser you can try to find the entry and change it....
Or you may also delete the DB, Windows will recreate a new one for you...

Nope, that's not the solution. And what kind of new SMS APP do you suggest?
Instead, try to hard reset the phone (Settings > System > Clear Storage), but back up the data (phone numbers etc) wih PIM Backup or alike into a microSD storage card.

Thanks for the suggestion. May I ask wha the "DB" is? I am somewhat familiar with the registry and I use Total Commander to edit it if need be.
I think it is in the registry as well; one value I would think. If not, do you think reinstalling the MMS software would work?
there use to be a hot fix for this on htc.com but it was for 6.1
not sure if they still have it up
well i had that problem in the past, it seems i had deleted an unread sms in the "deleted items" folder. After i deleted that one...i didn't have an unread notification...
other than that, i can't think of any solution
Had the same thing. As was suggested do a backup of all your personal data and then hard reset. No ROMS to play with no software to install (except any you already have) clean easy and cheap.

I know this is a problem with WM 6.5 and not Manilla/TouchFlo 3D. I was thinking that maybe if I can find the cab that runs when you do a hard reset if that will reset it and just install the standard stuff on top of what is there already.
On WM 5 it was easy to find that CAB file in the Windows folder but on 6.5 I can't seem to find it...
I've had the same issue a couple of times. I use FixUnreadCount...

Thanks a lot M1m3R!
I Ran FixUnreadCount, and it worked a treat! Did a soft reset and the counter disapeared.
Thanks again!
I met the problem too, and I reset to the default configration, then restore the contact list and reinstall programmes
hello i got the same pb on my sfr 6.5 today on text message :
to supress it i have tries the fixunreadcount then soft reset but no résult
then i have wrote a mail to my mobile phone mail account ; recive it then read it and tadaaa the unread notification on sms have disaper
Fixed too
Hi, I had this problem once before (last year) and ended up having to do a hard reset.
Got problem again the other day and really wanted to avoid another HR so did some digging. This utility worked a treat.
Ran it, counter still said 1 unread message; turned off and re-started, counter unchanged; happened to receive a call almost immediately so let it go to voicemail, checked voicemail and when I'd finished the notification had gone!
From what the previous post mentioned about sending self an e-mail, I guess it had something to do with the notification system receiving a prompt?
Anyway, sorted and v.happy!
