Need CIngular 8125 CAB file for customization - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

I tried doing a search first but couldn't seem to find. My 8125 appears to have become corrupt in the text message sending. I just have a folder called imp.root. I see messages come in - but if I don't grab them with the announcement they are lost forever.
Does anyone have the cingular customization cab the comes on the ROM that sets up the text messaging, mms and wireless? I would like to try installing it and seeing if this fixes it----unless someone else has heard of this and has another solution.
Thanks for any help or the file.

Mr Clean + some T-MobUK 2.4 CABs can't find elatepushservice

I've installed Mr Clean's ROM (excellent job, worked perfectly) then added some of the T-Mobile UK CABs from the new 2.4 Extended ROM:
MP_Customization_TMUK_Wizard(AKU2.x)_060420.CAB
MP_PictureVideo_reg_signed.CAB
MP-Shorcut-MMS1-JAVA6XX-CV-VOICE-EmailWiz-TMO-051215.CAB
P_UA_TMO_Wizard_Mar09.cab
PP_Connection_WIZ_TMUK_22102109.CAB
Signed_DiscoButton8.sa.CAB
Signed_Region_TMOUK_Wizard_Dec29.CAB
Most stuff now works fine, but not pic message sending, and I'm getting a message on re-booting about 'elatepushservice cannot be opened'.
Any thoughts on which other CAB I also need to install?
Cheeres,
Andre
I solved the MMS send/receive issue; I think the GPRS authentication setting needed to be PAP, not CHAP as it was set to. No idea what the difference is though, or which CAB is meant to set it.
Now all I need to do is get rid of that error message on bootup. Any ideas?
Andre
I thought someone might have commented on this? Anyway, I found there was a link in the Startup folder that was calling elatepushservice and thus causing the error message. So I removed the link, obviously one T-Mobile CAB had setup the link but not installed the program. It now boots cleanly.
Andre
I have a 8125 on cingular and have installed Voice command and Omapclock plus and i am getting a cannot start pushclient.lnk error on a soft reset. I tried moving the link from the startup folder but I still get it. Is this a similar issue?

I rather doubt it, mine was a link in startup which was pointing to a program which didn't exist. Yours seems like the opposite, something is trying to find a link but not seeing it.

I would assume, that you could install a different version of arcsoft mms, in order to fix it... bc it should just override the missing arcsoft files or whatever.
I also use mms on a daily basis. I flashed last nite and didn't noticed the mms prob until this morning... so when I get home tonite, I'll see if I can come up with something. But you should be able to search and find an arcsoft cab somewhere... if you do, try installing it. Obviously, we'd all like to find the newest version..
I found a post over in the kaiser forum about trying to extract version 5.xx of the arcsoft mms.. so hopefully that will solve our problems if someone is able to make that available.
thanks kamal, for sharing that...ill try to keep my acronym usage down for your sake...didnt mean to offend you or anyone else with "lol" im truely sorry i hope me and you can be bff someday and we will rofl about this..lmao lolol )
ohh and duprade, i tryed downloading arcsoft...but i had no success. maybe u kno if you have to copy some of the arcsoft files to directory or something bc my attempt to download it didnt solve the problem...
thanx in advance
Arcsoft_MMS_5.0.31.7.cab

1. the calendar soft key gives me an error HTCcalendar cannot be opened..but oddly enough i can open it through programs..but through the softkey it gives me an error...i tryed to fix it with the softkey changer but still no luck....
sms typing area or whatever u call it gets cut off..its some sort of glitch..

sms typing area = threadded sms = chat window like
calendar is called calendar.exe not HTCcalendar.exe. you have to cahnge the reghack for using softkeychange.
ok i found the registry hack for the calendar , sry for wasting space...but has neone had the chat window get cutt off ???
no money for duprade yet..MMS still doesnt work...when i go to send a mms it just hangs there and doesnt send.....what can be done?

If you click the keyboard icon on the screen, this makes the reply window the correct size so you can see what you are typing. You can think resume normal typing once the window has enlarged...I am also missing my mms!
well, here's a cab that will setup your settings correctly for MMS ... but its still not working on my end... and im too tired to keep messing with it... but Im working with some other people on this .. so hopefully we'll get it solved soon.
i appreciate all the help..but where's the cab.? haha

I like the Itje's most recent rom release (6.1 black version), but reverted bacl to his previous rom release (ItsBlack) due to the stability, particularily the MMS issue. Would you or anyone else know the advantages or differences from this MMS cab's version over the HTC ArcSoft MMS 4.2.8.1?
the biggest advantage would be that arcsoft doesnt work! atleast not on 6.1black...i been trying to find some sort of solution...its really frustrating...but 6.1 black seems very stable to besides the mms issue....
has ne1 came close to finding the answer to our mms problem?
I love Black 6.1, and im dealing with the missing MMS (tho the dirty pics from chicks is sorely missed). Im just gonna wait since David and his "team" are working on it. They came thru with the keyboard fix....i have faith.
Quick side question (sorry to thread hijack as im in need of the MMS fix), how do you change the colors of the home icons?
What exactly is the issue with the MMS? It works on my ROM, maybe someone can compare the two's files and find out what's missing...

Wrong Text Timestamps

I'm just wondering why all my text messages that I receive have a wrong timestamp when they show up in my phone. I've tried looking for options in settings, but haven't found anything.
I am currently running MightyRom.
TIA,
Bernie

Use this cab to fix your problem.
Looking at the file called _setup, I guess I could just manually edit the registry?
But thanks for the quick reply. Is this a fault in the phone itself, or is it a bug in my MightyRom firmware?
EDIT: I just went inside the registry, and the value for TrustTimeZoneField is already 0. :S
I use this cab to fix the time stamp so far for mostly all cooked ROM's. Didn't used to have to do this until the 2.03 cooked ROMs came through.
Did you fix this using Reg Edit?
From my understanding of what the program does, it just changes TrustTimeZoneField to 0. However, the integer on my phone is already set to 0 according to the registry editor.
Do I actually have to install the .cab file onto my Diamond?
Yes....for me it works all the time. Don't worry, it doesn't ask for location, it's a quick install and that is it.
I installed it and it still doesn't work. All the texts are timestamped as 7 hours ahead, haha.

If you are afraid of trying the cab then get Regedit app and find and change the following..
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
Find "TrustTimeZoneField" and give it a dword value of 0

SMS Help!

Manilla is showing that I have 1 unread sms, when I check there is not. I click "all messages" to get to the WM inbox but there are no unread messages in there.
I have tried to go to tools and "clear SMS/MMS", this wipes all messages, and when I look in the inbox it's empty, but when i click on the "inbox"tab to show the whole sms tree I see inbox with a blue "1" in brackets. I have also tried a sof reset, with no effect.
Any of you guys come accross this before?
BTW this has only started since I recieved an SMS while TomTom was running, and I had to ignore it.
Cheers for any help you can offer
Perhaps the mail still is on the server. Try to delete the mail configuration and then configure it again.
no luck
I tried to do that, but was unable to delete the "SMS" account. I also tried inserting a SIM card from a different opperator, but this did no good either.
Hey all,
i've got the same problem since yesterday... posted it already in the topic where aqll post their problems with new WM6.5
hope someone has a solution!
I've got an official WM6.5 HTC german ROM
I'm having the same problem mate (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=579772) but now manila home screen is showing i have 2 new messages when in fact i have none. I had a good scoot in the registry but there's nowt there to reset MS's inbox (as far as i could see but then again i'm not a reg buff).
I've read elsewhere that this "new message" is a known issue in WinMo 6.5..
Hoppe there's a fix for it soon...or someone here can help us out
Cheers
Mo
thanks!
Thanks for the info guys.
Has anyone seen this issue on WM6.1?

Yes, I had it on 6.1. Only started last week, but I installed 6.5 last night so I have managed to cure it, albeit in a rather extreme way.

I don't think I want to re-flash 6.5.....but that 1 message symbol is realy starting to bug me!!
For those who fixunreadcount did not work for "ghost" messages.
Try using Ceregeditor it is simple to find, works very well... I used it for my HTC pure. If you have a problem unlocking your phone, there a few threads on forums i read on how to do it. If your phones already unlocked.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\State\Messages\sms\Unread
Double-click on COUNT and change the number to 0 (zero). You should see the change immediately on your phone -- you don't have to do a save. If it works then save.
Worked for me instantly! Thanks to rdphoto on ppcgeeks.com, any questions on anything ill try and help, hope it works

Text message always says 1 message!

Hi all,
I have the HTC Pure. I got a few text messages at once and my phone slowed waaay down. I deleted the 3 messages that I had, however all but one of them were marked as read.
I called AT&T who in turn called HTC and said that this is a known issue but they have no fix in place and not planned.
So now, my phone always says I have one new text message, and I went and "cleaned" all of my messages; sent, draft, inbox, and deleted.
Does anyone know of a fix or a registry key that I can edit so that I don't have to do a hard reset?
Thanks!
I think it is just a problem from your current ROM .
Like such question , I will suggest you to flash a new ROM or install a new SMS APP.
it is easy to fix the problem after you change ROM
I've been having the same problem, and we are not alone...see thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584623
I know I can cure the problem by re-flasing the ROM, but I was hoping for a less painful solution......plus there is no guarantee the problem won't happen again.
I have had this with emails before. Here is a program which fixed that. I'm not sure if it will work with SMS, but you can try....
Looks like a DB corrupt... The count is in the registry but also in the DB...
If you have a DB browser you can try to find the entry and change it....
Or you may also delete the DB, Windows will recreate a new one for you...

Nope, that's not the solution. And what kind of new SMS APP do you suggest?
Instead, try to hard reset the phone (Settings > System > Clear Storage), but back up the data (phone numbers etc) wih PIM Backup or alike into a microSD storage card.

Thanks for the suggestion. May I ask wha the "DB" is? I am somewhat familiar with the registry and I use Total Commander to edit it if need be.
I think it is in the registry as well; one value I would think. If not, do you think reinstalling the MMS software would work?
there use to be a hot fix for this on htc.com but it was for 6.1
not sure if they still have it up
well i had that problem in the past, it seems i had deleted an unread sms in the "deleted items" folder. After i deleted that one...i didn't have an unread notification...
other than that, i can't think of any solution
Had the same thing. As was suggested do a backup of all your personal data and then hard reset. No ROMS to play with no software to install (except any you already have) clean easy and cheap.

I know this is a problem with WM 6.5 and not Manilla/TouchFlo 3D. I was thinking that maybe if I can find the cab that runs when you do a hard reset if that will reset it and just install the standard stuff on top of what is there already.
On WM 5 it was easy to find that CAB file in the Windows folder but on 6.5 I can't seem to find it...

Thanks a lot M1m3R!
I Ran FixUnreadCount, and it worked a treat! Did a soft reset and the counter disapeared.
Thanks again!
I met the problem too, and I reset to the default configration, then restore the contact list and reinstall programmes
hello i got the same pb on my sfr 6.5 today on text message :
to supress it i have tries the fixunreadcount then soft reset but no résult
then i have wrote a mail to my mobile phone mail account ; recive it then read it and tadaaa the unread notification on sms have disaper
Fixed too
Hi, I had this problem once before (last year) and ended up having to do a hard reset.
Got problem again the other day and really wanted to avoid another HR so did some digging. This utility worked a treat.
Ran it, counter still said 1 unread message; turned off and re-started, counter unchanged; happened to receive a call almost immediately so let it go to voicemail, checked voicemail and when I'd finished the notification had gone!
From what the previous post mentioned about sending self an e-mail, I guess it had something to do with the notification system receiving a prompt?
Anyway, sorted and v.happy!
