Best Place For E-books?

Just thought i'd ask this here as i know a number of you use for devices for reading
Where's the best place to get e-books from either free or purchase.
In either txt, html, or PDF format. The reason is i have just bought the sony portable reader, (what a amazing device it is), problem is you can only buy books from the connect e store if you live in the USA, and I'm in the UK
So any sites would be great.
Cheers...........
"problem is you can only buy books from the connect e store if you live in the USA" <-- that is weird. It is like saying, 'the email will only send to people in the USA'
Anyway, try this

You may also try http://www.fictionwise.com/ good collection including free books
I Know I e-mailed e connect store support and they reply was they will only accept payment with a US credit card ( they are a little hard to get in the UK ) and no plans for a UK release.
I'll have look at the sites provided though
Thanks....
I found a lot of free books at:
http://www.mobipocket.com/freebooks/default.aspx
I even found some Dutch/Flemish books there, good thing because it's my native laguage.
one of my favorite authors is at http://sennadar.plebian.net/
He has two long fantasy series and a short sci-fi book.
J-Man5
this might be a bit obvious i tend to get most of my books (those out of copyright anyway) from Gutenberg where they're all free to download.
i usually download them as zip files and view/read them with the last free version of ubook
This is a good site for various free ebooks - alot of current releases available.
http://www.baen.com/library/
Also I'll look up the address for the free download of the cd images of david webers books (honour harrington series and others - all sci-fi)

What web host should I choose?

Hello!
I got some money for Christmas and I want to use it to buy myself some hosting. I wanted to pick HostGator or HostMonster but what I want to do with the space is against their policy.
I need some server space to host all our family pictures with FTP access for everyone to upload their own pictures. We all have a camera and it's a pain in the butt to reunite all the pictures after the holidays especially with my parents not being together.
I'll also host my Wordpress blog on it so I need some bandwidth (about 70 clicks a day, nothing bad).
Anyone has a good host to suggest?
try godaddy, perfect

agree, my friend have ever offer me wit this one of web hosting..
Bluehost doesn't allow personal file hosting. :S
N1c0_ds how is whatever you're going to do against hostgator policy? I have to tell you now. Hostgator has the BEST customer service of them all. THE BEST. no joke. I love it. Would never give it up. I would use it until they actually tell you that you can't use it, which they probably won't.
use one of the following:
myjethost.com
1-nethost.co.uk
I am sure that myjethost.com will give you unlimited space and extra features if you tell them that i told you to sign up. Also i might get them to give you a discount of upto 50% or more.
My PayPal account went unverified and I can't do anything about it without a credit card. I guess I'll have to wait before I get a new web host for my blog and Gecko.

free domain suggestions

after being with co.cc for a few months for my website theyve decided to change there T&C's so that after a year i have to pay
this would be doable however, my website receives no ££$$$ from donations yet and thereofre there is no money to buy it, and also if i was to buy a domain name it would be .com
my question is can anyone recoment a free doamin name service the supports url forwarding, a google apps email inclsion (CNAME) and wont flood my site with pop ups
NB
This is not a request for money or finacial help. its not spam as im not advertising or offering a service

what are the pricing rates of vbulletin? How many members do you have on your site and how many do you predict would be there by the start of 2010? I'd be willing to assist you in financially if we could break-even by 2011 via donations or whatever.
well the forum is still young we have 303 or so members
i predict to have to have 400 to 450
as for donations ive not recieved anything since it began
vbulletin is roughly
160 $
well if you click on my website in my sig you can see my forum that i host. it is called simple machines forum. i am sure that vbulletin is much better but simple machines forum is free.
well ive got a free foum it invision power board 1.4 final
it just the domain i need
You should really slow down and wait to get some more members. Once your somewhere in the 10,000 then you should get a VB.
well ppl thx for omments but i have solution
have domain and working on vbull thanks to quicksite
also forumer doesnt let me have db so i already hv 300+ members to add manually so 10000 isnt practical
jayjay, you you really check out IPB Boards too, there not as expensive as a vbulletin, That is, if you buy a REGISTERED board. But other than that, good luck.
im using the free version of IPB from forumer.com at the moment
but ive finally got iy sorted im going back to phpbb since im fimiliar with it and then i can keep cabs on the websirte natively
with the fre version iof IPB will not do

I just registered a domain

I just registered a domain name for $1. I had a few problems because it took money from my acount 4 times (?????) but meh. I registered pencil42.net. I am happily taking suggestions on what I should put there and what hosting i should use. I would prefer free hosting. I have learned basic html and website building from tinkernut.
EDIT: I heard something about DropBox hosting. How do?
EDIT2: I tried hosting it with DropBox but it seems I need to install domain forwarding for €10. I'll just use gweb.io instead. I pointed the A and CNAME records to gweb's servers but it still says they're not pointed. Maybe I gotta wait?
Bump update: It says the DNS records are pointed but I can't see the website. I don't have www.pencil42.net pointed to gweb.io's servers, and when I try to point it, it says that an A record already exists for the entered Alias. ???
Why nobody post here? I switched back to dropbox and I use pancake.io on http://www.pencil42.net for some reason it is required to use the www. or it kicks out to qweb page
Where did you register your domain, is it $1 a month ?
$1 a month sounds too good to be true

I would suggest HostGator but it's not free. I have the plan for $9.99 a month and I rarely encounter a problem with them.
The only best free hosting I know is X10Hosting.
The only best option for me (using prepaid gift cards) is SimpleWebHosting. Unfortunately, they don't support Add-on Domains and I'm not sure if they ever will.
Use Github Pages
https://pages.github.com
Haphost.com is good for being a free host, you can get a 128mb ram VPS for free there which should be able to host your site.
I use Ipage 1.89 a month for two years and then I have four other domains I host with them even though I bought them with godaddy I'm just getting into the hosting scene but I've been into web design for a while now thought my self everything I know
