So many new WM5 releases... Still no bluetooth fix?
Hi
Unfortunately - yes.
But good guys are working on it.
It's matter of short time when Ivan's ROM will have it.
It's the only thing that keeps me staying on WM2003...[/b]
Dont count on it being fixed, not with the MS stack anyway.
lets all cross our fingers and hope that widcomm 1.7 works
i doubt there would be a fix with MS Stack, unless we can get broadcom or widcomm stack running.. then everything, including A2DP should run just fine.
I'm currently testing the broadcom/widcomm 1.71 stack, result are still inconclusive, but its better than the M$ one
Everything apart from bluetooth voicedial.......
Hi
Most of you already know this, but:
The newest relase of Ivan's ROM has the BT disconnect issue resolved permanently.
Have fun with it
Yes it is a step in right direction, but still have nasty bug with most BT Headsets, no voce in call. I am sure that mamaich ivan and Midget_1990 will find a solution for this bug soon. We will just wait and see
any progress?
I have widcomm stack 1.7 in my ipaq 6965, and I can control audio input/output over bluetooth by press of button on the headset (press and hold for 2 sec it'll trigger a redial AT command I think) but it just can't trigger an application like voicecommand in the pda. What's fustrating is that there's no documentation of widcomm sdk, so there's no way to figure out what's required in the registry (plus what dll needs to be develop) in order to handle the AT+CPR200 (I think that's the AT command for bluetooth button press) event.
If somebody has some clue or progres, please share here and hopefully more brains can be put together and fix this once and for all!
I do not know what is the problem with your ipaq, but the bt bug is fixed now, you can search the forums for it

hi, my problem is not about auto-disconnect or no sound. everything works perfectly fine with 1.7 widcomm stack except that I can't do voice dial. specifically, I can't activate a voice cmd application with the press of bluetooth button. When I press the button, the audio streaming is turned on (and mic is working over bluetooth) but it just doesn't start the voice cmd application, which I have to manually turn it on from the pda device.
if your BA's widcomm can enable the voice dial, I would like to request if you can share your registry and the necessary dLL
we dont use widcomm anymore because someone fixed the M$ stack.
has anybody got msvc working over headset? if so what are you using? the program I was using with the hermes doesn't work on the tilt. thanx
MSVC 1.6 works out of the box as advertised. No need for any Hermes hacks (chances are they'll break something).
I've mapped mine to the voice activation key (the one with the speach bubble) but it won't start with my BT headset.
msvc 1.6 doesn't work out of the box! when I hold down button on my headset the dialpad opens and I can hear the headset connect but the msvc doesn't start. I have added a 6 buton in the reg to replace ptt with the voice command.

Well, VC does work out of the box, but you probably need to re-map buttons. On the TyTN II, Button 6 was Voice Speed Dial, and I needed to change that. On the Tilt, it's PTT and you'll need to change that.
But once I made that change, it worked like a charm without any issues on my TyTN II. I'm using a Plantronics Discovery 655, which also might matter - perhaps deleting and re-partnering with your headset might help.
With PTT re-mapped to VC you're having a problem?

I too have had no issues with MS Voice Command 6 on Kaiser. I was never able to get it to work reliably on my Hermes, but notifications and all commands work great over my BlueAnt headset. I currently don't have a button on the phone mapped to it, I only use the headset buton.
MSVC & Plan. 655

I am using the same headset with the Tilt (Att Rom) and I am not very pleased with the BT setup. I do not get notifications through the headset like I used to; and with the BT ROM available, I have no way to click on announcements through the headset. One other problem is that now the reception distance with the 655 is about 6ft at best. Any recommendations on what I can change?
I may flash over to HTC ROM, but I am a little scared as to doing that plus I would have to re-install all my apps (I think).

Sorry, I neglected to mention that I also completely disabled Cyberon VoiceDialer and disabled PTT before intstalling MSVC. Then it works out-of-the-box perfectly... even notifications!
On a Tilt, it did not work at first, but when I did the registry edit to allow for changing the PTT button, and set that button to VC, it works.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Working great!

Been trying to solve this problem for a while, noone seems to have the answer.
i have recently installed MS voice commander (wonderfull software btw), but i find it useless since i cant use it when i most need it and that's when the phone is in the pocket and i have handsfree plugged in (the cable).
the button can do only 3 things by default. pick/hang up calls and redial last number.
is there any way to map a program to it? so when i either press and hold or better yet, press it once i get voice commander running?
I use Bluetooth and I hold the button down and MS command comes up.
What brand of headset are you using?
i use the standard hands-free that comes with the phone. I've tried a number of solutions for Bluetooth devices but none of them worked.
this headset connects through the usb port at the bottom of the device. cant find any way to even detect that button from inside the device.
what you have on your BT looks like exactly what i'm after. with voice commander it's possible to use most functions of the phone without touching it, but it's pointless if you need to get it out to start VC in the first place.
I may not be of any help here as I have not used Voice Commander but..
If you go to 'Settings' 'Voice Speed Dial' you will see a tab at the bottom for Application.
I just use this as it responds to a single press from any headset.
Soz if I'm intruding.
not quite what i need. i want to call voice commander directly with the button.
it would've been easier if i could already run voicedialer or any other program from the headset. but nothing works.
Hi all
I've searched the forum and couldn't find a solution to this.
I need to be able to activate voice dialing through the bluetoth headset call button so that i can call someone while i'm driving without having to look at my x1.
in my old tytn, i installed voice commander 1.2 and assigned it to the left side memo button. when i pressed the Bluetooth headset button once, it would open the voice commander and route the mic through the headset, so i was able to say the name into the heasdset.
but in my x1, a single click on my BT headset doesn't do anything and a long press only redials the last number.
i couldn't find any simple way to...
1-click on the headset button
2-voice commander activates and routes the mic to the headset
3-the voice commander takes my command and dials the number.
the closest i came to is to assign voice commander to a hw key on x1 not the headset buttn and when i press it, i must say the commande in the x1 mic not the headset.
so. to cut it short....any body was able to dial using the bluetooth headset?
I use Voice Command, that allows voice dialling through my Jawbone Headset.

MSVC does by replacing the the dll with it's own.
My rom also does by replacing dll from HD.
Me too, I use MS Voice Command with SonyEricsson HBH sets and all work by pressing the button on headset which brings up the mic from voice command to command-the-phone

MS Voice Command 1.6 here. It works about 75% of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work. No idea why.
Of course, I also have no idea why the Bluetooth disconnects randomly, for no apparent reason.
The same Parrot CK3100 works 100% of the time with a Nokia E71-2, and it works 100% of the time with an old Motorola Q9h.
No idea what the freak is wrong w/the Xperia.
Both the Voice Command issue (25% failure) and the Bluetooth disconnection happens with both the X1a and the X1i that I just sold.
Yes of course, if the bluetooth doesn't work then the bluetooth voice command cannot work. There was this bluetooth disconnect issue with the fw R1A but should be better with the fw update to R2A.
Did you update your phone yet?
As long as my headset is connected, voice command works 99.9%.
did you just install MS voice commander and it worked straight away? or did you change any settings or do any button assignments?

I'm on the UK R2A that was dated 20 Feb 2009. Bluetooth is still buggy.
There still seems to be some occasion that the phone goes into some kind of standby mode that causes Bluetooth not to be instantly available, and no doubt this affects the performance of Voice Command.
But, having said that: There are still times that you know the phone's not in standby, and Bluetooth + Voice Command is still buggy. Sometimes the phone responds with the Xperia speaker, and sometimes the phone responds w/the car speakers, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

I did not have to do anything special to get it to work the way that I wanted, except to assign the right silver button to Voice Command.
Can anyone tell how to make voice command or voice2go work with bluetooth headset?
Can you use all the available commands of MSVC?
Hi all, I have also installed the MSVC on my Xperia and the voice dial feature works fine, but I have tried to use other voice commands (just say "help" for a list of available commands) like "What time is it?" and it doesn't work.
Has anyone else tried it?
Update: I figured it out: you have to enable the "Status" option in MSVC settings!
MS VC R3AA013 & Jawbone Prime
Hi All
Had MSVC 1.6 on my x1 (R2a), all working fine, just been given a Jawbone Prime (thought result), BT linked up no worries. Tried to use MSVC over BT & not a thing. Can make a call manually n Jawbone picks it up, can use VC on my phone n Jawbone will pick it up, but picking up my phone with a BT sort of defeats the object of the exercise. Have looked all over XDA, and get a mixed impression, does a BT headset work with an X1 & MSVC?
Tried a couple of registry tweaks & nothin & I've now updated to R3 to see if that makes a difference but no joy.
Have I missed something here? Or am I just special?
I missed something!
I was using the wrong button, gotta use the assassin button & not the talk button. D'oh.
Having same issue as original post. WM6.5 w/ voice command loaded. Can't get bluetooth headset to initate voice command prompt. I have had to attach it to one of the buttons on the phone - but not ideal b/c of the incoming handsfree laws here.
Any suggestions?
Ok so I'm having a similar problem here. I have the X1a with WM 6.1 and MS Voice command 1.6 and my bluetooth is a Nokia BH-212. My blue tooth has a volume rocker and one master button for all functions. My issue is that yes I can answer with my bluetooth by pressing once, I can hang up the same way. If I press twice quickly it redials the last number. However when I hold the function button for the right amount of time (you get a long tone) it is supposed to activate the voice command prompt but instead i simply get the dialer on my screen. No prompt, nothing.
I have looked into the phone as much as I can to try and find something with no luck. I am a newbie so please be gentle. I just want that feature to work and my phone will do almost everything I want it to. Thanks all
The title jsut about says it all.
Is there any way to get Microsoft Voice command to work with the built in Blue tooth in a Lexus?
I did a search on the forum for the word Lexus and was surprised to find very few listings, and nothing on this topic.
Nobody?
What about in ANY car based blue tooth. Anyone successful getting MS VC workign through that and have any input on how to get that done?

I have a BMW with older electronics: BT works great with my Tilt, but when I press the VC button on the phone it uses the phone's mic to hear the command. When it dials the call goes through the car BT tough, good enough but it would be nice to have the radio automatically quiet when giving a command--my older BT just doesn't have any mechanism I know of to pass a button press through to the phone.
Regardless, IF I recall, that was often a weak spot with VC and at least the Tilt, maybe others--I dimly remember people complaining that the button on their BT headset either wouldn't activate VC or when it did it went through the mic on the phone in their pocket. If they ever found a solution maybe it'd work for you...?
I just updated to 6.5 and don't have any VC at the moment.
Thanks for the feedback.
What I have happening is, I press the button for VC; I hear nothign, although I see the microphone VC indicator on the phone; I can say "CAll John Doe on mobile"; I hear nothing and nothing happens.
I'll be happy if I can even get it to respond by pressing the button on the phone and then work through blue tooth on the car. Not ideal, but workable, and better than what I'm experiencing right now.
