Hello,
TuMa is great But in messaging i dont see the folder mms, just Text Messages and Outlook E-mail.
Can you help me, someone.
Thank you
First off you'll need make sure you install the Arcsoft MMS app, and you'll also need to set up an MMS account... I don't know how to do this manually but I use the CAB I posted here...
As you will see from the thread, the CAB does other stuff as well, but onceI have done this then added the GPRS/MMS settings for my provider I get an MMS folder in Messaging which didn't exist before... (and it works!)
Hi
I installed the helmi aku3.2 rom some time ago, but I after clearing the phone memory I don't have access to mms.
I vaguely remember there being some kind of cab file for mms and gprs. Does anyone have such a cab file or am I supposed to do something else?
The settings need to be for o2 UK.

Yes, just figured it out. Not sure if anyone else has ever got it working on the Kaiser but I just installed theses 2 CAB files from my ETEN M800 original PRE-INSTALL CABS because they were ones installed that had the MMS working on the M800 and bingo, it works on the Kaiser. Anyone interested in the CABS, let me know. I can send out for someone to host them. They dont seem to do anything else to my Kaiser but MAKE THE MMS WORK!

Just a couple of questions.
1.) which ROM are you using. WM6 or WM6.1
2.) What version of ArcSoft MMS are you using?
3.) Which Palm threaded SMS are you using as there are many variations out there.
ROM is WM6.0
Just uninstalled Arcsoft as it is now not needed.
Its the Palm threaded labeled WM6 version.
UPDATE - I just realized its the ETEN PHONE SERVICE 2.0 that enabled the MMS in the Palm threaded! I have not tested incoming MMS's but I was getting them on my M800 with this CAB installed. ****ty Sprint phone is my other service and they are blocking MMS's so I cant send with my other phone but I have been able to send thru the MMS in the Palm with zero problems!

Man I was hoping that you were going to say WM6.1
I have a .cab package that works w/ Arcsoft MMS 4.2.8.1 and Palm threaded SMS.
Well, I have WM 6.1 on my Glofiish M800 and the MMS in the Palm threaded is working no problem in that so I don't think WM 6.1 is any problem.
send the files here.. ill try it.. cuboosh[nospace]@[nospace]gmail.com thx.
This has always worked for me with MMS.

i want to smack you.. this guy claims MMS is working from inside the palm app..no need for ARCsoft
That is correct. I will email you the file tonight to host it. Its a small cab that does not do anything elce that I can tell other than enable the MMS part of the palm threaded. Only problem I have is when I take a picture that is set to 3 megapix it does not scal the picture down to 300k or smaller. Is there a way to set something to send up to 600k...? A reg hack or change? I had to set my camera to 1 megapix to get the picture file to 300k or less. I know the treo 750 would auto crop down the picture but this is not working on other phones that have it. It also seems alot more stable than the ARCsoft MMS. I was getting every pic, voice, vcard that came thru 100%. I also installed the CAB to my friends 8525 and it works on that also. Looks like it works with any GSM phone ATM... Very nice find as I like the threaded in the palm version better than the one in WM6.1.
bapass, You gotta set it up to direct you to the palm threaded somehow. I thought when you install the palm threaded app, it automaticly sets that. Atleast for me it did. What version of the palm threaded are you using..? If you are using the HTC home plugin, the SMS on that will send you to the palm if its installed. Then you can do the REG edit to get rid of the ARCsoft or just un-install the CAB if you are using that version but since the TILT has the MMS out of the box attached to the SMS, it should get rid of it for you when you install, but this is different with every different version of the palm threaded out there. Mine is the one labeled WM6 PALM THREADED. Hope this helps.
cuboosh, you got mail.
ok, as raspster stated it actually works! now i need to find the regedit to disable arcsoft from taking the MMS before i fully uninstall it.. damn it i know it was on 4winmobile.com b4 but now i cant find it.. but yes i can verify i can send MMS from inside the palm app on my tilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS MAN!
there is a reghack for 600k ill try to find it and reply back.
ok i tried regedit to 600k its not sticking.. but i have it sucessfully working both ways.. if you use exchange for email u can just disable arcsoft by making the following change..
edit the registry to rename HKLM/Software/MS/Inbox/SVC/MMS1 to MMS1OLD, Soft Reset.
now you dont have to uninstall it!
i am sucessfully sending/receiving MMS inside of the palm app using the cab file raspster posted and this regedit.
UPDATE!!! ive also figured out how to get it to auto re-size picture.. im currently testing it once i get it to work flawless ill post intrsuctions! its looking good so far though!
Thats great cuboosh!! I am so glad we got this working right! The palm threaded is by far the best I've seen for WM. Now it is finally complete! If you can get the re-sizing to work, we will be golden as then I can MMS the million PIC's I currently have that were taken at 3M. LOL
GREAT NEWS! it WORKS! fully 100% including picture resize! i will be posting the .zip file which contains the files/.reg files you need + instructions! and ill link to this thread once done

I have a Palm Treo 680, do you have anything that will allow me to recieve my pictures in regular size?
Charles P.
Hey guys,
I have been searching around for the threaded SMS cab but only able to find the Shogun Palm extract cab. The problem with that cab as everyone probably know by now is when you send MMS it gives a memory error message. I dont have a solution around this so I unstalled the cab.
I was wondering anyone can help to point me to the threaded sms cab that comes from the WM6.1 ROM. I went back to WM6 after trying most of the popular WM6.1 ROM which I found the WM6 to be more efficient. Anyway thanks for your help
So I read that MMS doesn't work in WM6.5 and the solution was to install ArcSoft MMS and fix it that way. The only hitch is...after I installed the CAB, I can't seem to figure out where the actual program is so I can set everything up. Looking through File Explorer I see nothing in Program Files that looks related, nor does there appear to be any kind of new settings panel anywhere. I apologize if this is a stupid question but I searched through all the ArcSoft topics and everyone seems to have been able to figure this out except me.
Help? I'm using a Kaiser on T-Mobile with Witschey's bare WM6.5 ROM, if that helps. Thanks in advance.
I'm using Kaiser with WM6.5 build 23081 from T.i.R 19k with ArcSoft MMS version 5.2.2.22 bundled in the ROM. MMS is working good to the same operator in Indonesia
I use 2 steps in setting my MMS:
1. Settings - Connections - Connections - Add a new modem conn (the second paragraph)
2. Messaging - MMS Options

For the first part, what's the section heading that "Add A New Modem Connection" is under? For me, it's "My Work Network" and that doesn't sound right for adding MMS settings...additionally, I'm trying to use this info to fill in the required fields:
http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm21387.xml
But that doesn't list a username or password, which the settings are asking for. Am I doing something horribly wrong here? I admit I know virtually nothing about how MMS works, so writing like you're talking to a 4-year-old would be helpful
Oh, and also just to clarify, I'm using the version of ArcSoft linked in the second post in this topic:

...anyone? Still unable to send/receive MMS and have found nothing which seems to be useful =/
