is there anyone of who has a german t-mobile rom for the mda vario.
I have to replace the vario in the shop where i buyed it and the problem is, that i installed yesterday a qtek-rom whithout backing up the original rom.
So please help me.

I am expecting to get MDA Vario from Germany on Monday or Tuesday. I am also planing to flash it with english version ROM couse I don't know german language.
I will be more than happy to backup original German Rom and upload it here prior flashing it, but I don't know how to do it.

... no problems at all... my friends has a Vario and change the OS to Qtek..after the update he also updated the radio rom seperate to 1.12.10 i want to flash tomorrow seperate the radio rom to 1.13.10

Got the QTek NL ROM 1.3.7.10 as well. Works great! Also got the Qtek Radio 1.13.0 flashed seperatley.
I'm sure the latest T-mobile is the fastest at the moment, to bad I want my device to be Duthc
Think we probaly have to wait until march, heard that there will be a major update by than.. ..we'll see...

1.3.7.10 is dutch, Radio Rom is i think portugese but that doesn't matter for the Qtek.
The English WWE ROM i think 1.6.7.0 is the fastest

Tried to install the Qtek ROM, but it said something about the Vendour (don't know if I spelled it correct) wich is T-mobile in my case, and offcourse it needs to be Qtek. Is there anyway to solve this problem?

You need to 'CID unlock' the device first. Look around on this forum. There is enough info to find about flashing your device
Why not working with my device?! It crashes when syncing..
My Vario is slow and crashes too many times (TTWM5), many times it can't read my SD unless I reset the device; so I wanted to upgrade my rom.
But....: I got a real problem when I want to update my dutch MDA Vario....
The ppc is set to basic, factory. I can connect to my PC('s) with my cable. But.... when I start the dutch OR the english update the device crashes after a while. Then connection goes down and 4 big stripes appear to the device-screen. The updateprog on the pc gives an error and the prog closes. I run 2000NT (on both pc's). Who has me the answer? btw: I did already succesfully unlock the device. Fortunately I can soft-reset it without probs.

Sorry for being a total n00b but I am not clear on some things here. I have searched the forums but can't really find a clear answer. I have a qtek 9100 from TMobile. It is running windows mobile 5.0 NL version. I see that there is a NL and an ENG version in this post. Can I just install the ENG version on my phone with out any problems? Does that mean that Windows mobile will be in English after updating the firmware (which is what I would like)? Do I have to change any settings to be able to use the TMobile network or is that all stored on my SIM card?

I posted the NEW Russian 2.18 test rom last night. This morning when I check myqtek.com, that test rom has been pulled off their server. It's in the upload folder.
Some please check that test rom out and see if a2dp is on there.

Hmmm I get the message Invalid Vendor ID...the new ROM can't be loaded on my phone apparently
Ianman you need to CID unlock your phone before you can install it. However, I'll just note you may find the lokiwiz doesn't CID unlock if you have a relatively new handset, there's an issue in the later HTC units (see lokiwiz thread)

i was looking for the english ROM for the T MOBILE VArio and could not find it. Is this the same as having an english operating system? My mobile is in German and i find it very tough to naviagte around and hence wondering if you guys have seen an English operating system or a plug in that converts the existing into an english system?
Anyone have an original shipped Vodafone ROM? Upgraded to the Cingular release and wanting to revert back, didn't see it posted in the wiki or FTP.
I'd like to do the same thing actually. I think the Cingular ROM has made my 750 a little unstable. Either that or Cingular's doing stuff to the network in my area and it's affecting my phone. I think it's the Cingular ROM though.
I too am seeing funny things going on with the Cingular ROM installed. I want to go back to the Voda ROM (original version).
I have search MANY forums all over the world and cannot find the original Voda ROM for this phone.
Whoever gets it, please let me know so I can get it.

You will need to wait until Vodafone releases an update for the Treo 750v before you can restore their ROM.
I have a original Vodafone ROM, well its unlocked but I don't know how to copy it, if someone will guide me through it, I wouldn't giving it up to everyone.

I'd rather have a Cingular ROM than a Vodafone ROM with AKU2.6...AKU2.3 and AKU2.6 aren't really different at all. But an AKU3.x ROM, now we're talkin...
I'd rather have a Voda ROM since I don't want/need the Cingular customizations. I also don't use MSN messenger so that one is a non-issue.

Since monday the 15th of june I'm a proud owner of a HTC TP2 smartphone.
This smartphone comes with the dutch version of windows mobile 6.1 professional and it is already sim unlocked (all HTC phones are sim unlocked).
I want to dump the rom+spl+p anything else to help the community to produce a Hard-SPL, cooked roms etc.
I admire the work that Pof has been doing during these years for the xda community and I want to help a bit. I know quite a lot of dumping, flashing, unlocking etc (just by reading the posts and tutorials on xda-dev).
I want to know how many members (including Pof) are interested in rom dump of a HTC TP2 Dutch.
Let me know by posting in the thread or by PM.
ROM dumps are always welcome!
other members with a branded device may want the dump when hardspl is launched....
and chefs might want a dump to look at the OEM goodies inside to incorperate in there next (NL) cooked ROM...
so just dump it!!

HTC TP2 and MDA Vario V Dump

A good friend of mine has bought the T-mobile MDA Vario V (Rebranded TP2).
I will offer the community tomorrow a rom dump of a dutch HTC TP2 and a dutch T-mobile MDA Vario V.
I hope that by comparing the two dumps, that Olipro/Pof can make a sim unlocker and a Hard-SPL.

I have extracted the rom from both TP2 and MDA Vario V (T-mobile rebranded TP2).
Both roms are in Dutch, so no WWE.
I have attached also both hardware information and storage map of both devices.

I am very interested to dump the original TP2 onto my VarioV. I am annoid about the Tmobile web 'n walk integration in the Opera browser. I have installed a clean Opera but after a restart it still does the Web 'n Walk part. Therefor I cant wait till one of you guys found a way to dump the rom onto a Vario5.
