Radio 1.15 and BB - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Running Win2003SE, and BB Connect. Upgraded to Radio 1.15 yesterday - cannot connect to BB service since (get an IP address in BB service, then drops) Tried using GPRS with IE - no problem.
Anyone got an idea? If I need to downgrade radio version - any advice?

upgraded 8125, Wi-Fi does not work

I put the new FW or rom in my 8125 from Cingular, everything works.. got SMS working, got EDGE working, but Wi-fi does not
it sees the AP but will not connect. it says connecting then Unavailable
ideas.. i would like wifi.. really a conveance.
e.b.
what did you upgrade to? I upgraded to 2.16.9.101 and have had no problems connecting to my WPA protected wifi network.
mine says ROM 2.16.9.1 WWE
extended rom 2.16.9.101
radio 1.12.10
and you used the RUU file to upgrade the unit???? mine upgrade the radio to 2.07.10 as well.
IPL/SPL: 2.16
ROM Ver: 2.16.9.1 WWE
ROMdate: 2/6/6
Radio: 02.07.10
Protocol: 413.1.0.2
ExtRom: 2.16.9.101
ROM Ver: 2.16.9.1 WWE
ROMdate: 2/6/6
Radio: 02.07.10
Protocol: 413.1.0.2
i bypassed the extended rom.. so there is none
but.. still no working wifi
it see the AP but will not connect to it
same problem here, haven't found a fix yet. My router is only 802.11b capable and not 802.11g. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Maybe this new ROM sets the device to G only. Although, using Nico's registry wizard, the G mode isn't selected.
Do you have any kind of encryption active on your wireless router? If so, turn it off and see if you can connect. If you can, I'd suspect a problem in the key.
If you still can't connect even when WEP or WPA is off, then the problem is elsewhere. What kind of router is it?
I was going mad with the same problem.
I'm not 100% sure it appears the issue was related to the MAC address of my unit - as well as WPA I do MAC filtering to weed out unwanted devices
I'm not sure if it was a base-station issue, or if the ROM upgrade changed the MAC address on my K-Jam
double-checked and added the IP from the device and now it's happy as Larry (as I say it may be a total red herring... I may have forgotten to save the router config to Flash and we had a powercut over the weekend...)
if you installed the cingular extended ROM do a hard reset immediately. that's what f's up wifi. i loaded the full extended rom and was NOT able to get wifi to even start. once i hard reset, everything was a-ok

There is NO EXTEDNED rom installed at all.
I bypassed it compleatly.
when it asked me where I was (orange etc..) I did har soft reset and no rom was installed at all.
no cingular rom, no Imate rom, no extend rom other then the OS
e.b.
i wasn't meaning you in particular, i'm saying for the people who can't even get wifi started.
I did allow it to run the RUU's extended rom... I don't remember which carrier I chose on the carrier screen. My wifi does work fine on my WPA G network.
ok.. so i am an idiot.. i tried another AP and it worked fine.
so my question is.. (this worked before BTW, before I upgraded to the new ROM)
I have a linksys SRX400 router (WRT54GX4).
I just upped the FW to 1.00.10 from 1.00.09.
any ideas?
e.b.
I appear to have the same problem with my qtek 9100.
Used to connect to my pair of dlink dwl-900ap+ 's fine. Since the rom upgrade it will only connect if I turn off wep! No idea about wpa cause I've never managed to get it to work!
Naive queston
I just bought my Cingular 8125, and it's my first one of this kind.
Please, could some one tell me what advantage new ROM gives over standart package?
Thanks

Bluetooth license expired

After upgrading an i-Mate PDA2K (PH20B 0 B WWE E CDL__001 1.40.00 0 0 1.12.00 12.00) to WM5 BA TuMa v1.3 Release (as well as various other WM5 ROM builds), the device has been restored back to original shipped WM2K3SE ROM (PDA2k_WWE_14000_176_11200.exe), due to numerous problems including ActiveSync connectivity via USB or Bluetooth failing.
However, now when reverted back to original shipped ROM, device reports that the Bluetooth license has expired and disables the Bluetooth. Re-enable Bluetooth device and the same thing happens, it reports an error and disables itself again.
Any solution to this problem?
Also, why doesn’t reverting back to shipped software (CE-ROM, EXT-ROM, Radio) solve this problem?
Can someone please explain what flashing ROM changes and what it does not change?
sorry i have the same problem and i'm still trying to solve it
anybody can help us????????
plz
Had the same problem after pairing my BA with my new Headset.
Switched BT off and did a Soft-Reset ... after restart switched BT on again and the Message was gone. I am unable to explain why this happens but it worked for me. Good luck guys.
i even tried t-mobile rom , o2 rom , i-mate rom
but the same problem still on
i'm trying again ........ :?
This problem seems to be related to the Widdcom stack (at least, it was with me). The 3900 stack does not work with WM5.
hope this helps?
hey guys, i have a Orange SPV M2000 UK set and currently having this problem (license expired) for few days. So i tried flashing the firmware to O2 2s firmware, the bluetooth still expired.
the question now is,
1. if i upgrade to WM5, will this problem (bt expired) solve? Anyone tried this? I willing to do anything to fix my bt, except sending this phone back to the factory, since now im in malaysia.
2. when i update the firmware for wm2003se (orange UK firmware) they say country id error. why so? how can i flash the firmware if this error comes out?
really appreciate those can help me out here. im total out of idea to fix this stuff.

I fixed my bluetooth expired prog. download the broadcomm 1.6 version from ftp and now bluetooth work like normal. the downside after installing this version is that the messaging kindda lag (bug?) and today's theme kindda messed up (no big issue; just change to other theme)
another problem came out is, i can pair with bt handsfree, but not functioning properly.

Downgrade Radio Rom 1.15 ==> 1.13

I have upgrade both CErom and RadioRom as followed
CERom 5.03.02 WWE
Radio 1.15.00
Is it possible that I can downgrade to 1.13 for the RadioRom only without downgrade back to WM2003?
I used the Asia version (Thailand) I try to downgrade already but get Device ID error if i used the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe got the connection problem I used the Activesync Ver 4
Please help me? The 1.15 list the operator not in thailand.
PS. I have notice that if I take out the battery in the boot screen the radio version will not be show (N/A) and the radio is malfunction so i have to do the soft reset to get the radio back online is there anyone face out this problem with radio 1.15 or not?
To downgrade to 1.13 or 1.12, just download the MaUpgradeUT utility from here :-
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Tools/MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip
Extract the installer for your updated rom to a directory using winrar or winzip.
Goto the directory you just extracted the files to and delete all ".nbf" files, except "radio_.nbf". This will ensure that you only update the radio ROM, not the windows mobile ROM or the extended ROM.
Extract the MaUpgradeUt_NoID.zip file to the same directory as the Radio rom file "radio_.nbf" and run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe.
The installer will show a picture of a Magician device, not a BlueAngel. This is normal and nothing to worry about.
Why is 1.13 or 1.12 radio rom preferred over 1.15?
Because 1.15 has problems with wifi and bluetooth with wm5
the radio is nothing to do with the bluetooth or wifi.
the radio is purly the firmare for the GSM chip, and basicaly to put my own experiances here 1.12, 1.13 and 1.15 work fine with 2003se, in wm5 however 1.12 and 1.13 work fine, but with 1.15 i have crap signal and only about 1 in 10 of outgoing calls actually make the dial tone, also many texts and calls are not recieved.
The Radio 1.15 good working on my Pda2K.
On the WM2003SE and WM2005 ROMs...
Your problem-is not radio.
the problem i have described only seem apparent in low signal areas afaik (like where i live), sorry i should have mentioned that before.
1.15 has these problems even in a areas with high signal, my home is in about 30 meters from the cell antenas and i had problems like this, i had it for 3 months and this occured 3-4 times for that time, but when i go to a place with low signal it was almost impossible to make a call

Wifi issues

Hi all. I have an interesting problem. Whenever I apply any custom rom to my phone,it does not have wifi anymore. I have had to go back to the CWS 2.25 ship rom to get it back. I have tried the Molski, Faria, and Shogun roms and all have had the same the same issues. They all see my router, but none will connect to it.
Any ideas as to why I have this issue would be appreciated.
I have had to go back to the CWS 2.25 ship rom again, but really want to try to use a Molski rom again. PS. I was able to use anything I wanted until I applied the latest Faria rom. Since then I can only use the ship roms and still have my wifi.
Thanks all........Later
BTW, my signature tag says that I am still on the Faria rom, but that's no longer accurate.
Not sure what the issue is...I've used all those ROMS with no WiFi issues.
Just make sure you have removed the Proxy server settings or are using an alternate network connection under Settings-connections-advanced-select networks, and you have told you network card that it connects to the internet

Been there, done that.....I have found that the ONLY rom that has wifi for me is the Cingular 2.25. I went back and tried all versions...flashed for hours I might add....and the only one with wifi for me is the 2.25 ship rom. I can customize it myself and still have wifi, but only on that rom. This only happenned after I tried the Faria 3.0 rom,all was fine before that.
Later
UPDATE: I can also use the CWS 2.26 with the 2.47 radio rom and still have Wifi.

I have no wifi at all i am using the
DOPOD ASIA WWE OP ID 2.21.13 2.21 2.19.11 Download Thread

My Diamond can't receive network

First, sorry for my English; I'll do my best
I have Spanish Vodafone Diamond. I flashed using Unsigned HardSLP, NiAX Buffet 2.0, and Radio Radio 1.00.25.05. Later, I unlocked with the "free method".
If worked fine for me for some weeks, but I give to a friend who is using it now with other company (MoviStar). It worked for some hours but after that the phone couldn't get the network.
I tried first change to other Radio 1.03.25.18 (after Hard Reset), and it worked again only for only few hours. After that, no network again.
I tried also reflash again HardSLP + same ROM + Radio 1.00.25.05 but I can't get network again.
Any idea?
I had the same problem...
And a whole lot of others hihi.. Anyhow, in my case uploading Radio v1.05.25.BS14 (Quad Band)(Provided by Dutty) (NEW ONE) fixed the issue.. But I didn't get Radio 1.00.25.05 to work...
me too... i had the same problem...
I already tried 1.00.25.05, 08, and bs14, but no luck... can anyone figure out why?
Nobody have idea? ****...
could it be that the phone is barred by any chance?
