but i have 2 questions
1. The phone is not showing SIM numbers i want the phone to show the SIM number or a way to copy the numbers from the SIM to the phone
2. Now after upgrading the rom those this means the phone is being unlocked and can be worked on any network or it will be only on the tmobile network like before
and one more question i dont know if this is a right place to ask but i want to know how can i make the phone able to recieve and send files using the bluetooth connection and if this is a wrong place to ask the question then please refer me to the right section
Thanks for your advice and help

Hi - this is a strange one....went through the walkthoughs and docs relating to downgrading my mates legend and then doing the s-off thing and then clockwork mod and then finally froyo.
All that went relatively fine ( a few hiccups along the way but im there ) the phone started out life as being a stock vodafone model and is now - obviously generic. Problem is, is that now i want to put an asda mobile sim in there (works off of the back of vodafone) it cant see their network - not only that - if i put my vodafone sim in there it cant see vodafone either,
Not really sure where to start so i thought id start here
This may not be the right place to post but seeing as it all worked before the rom update i thought this was as good as place as any to start.
thanks to anyone that chips in
Comfy
Wrong forum, sorry. That is a question, go ask it in the Q/A section please.
Can anyone help i have upgraded my phone after much trouble trying to unlock it via market apps & superoneclick neither worked and the phone ended up going into some dead mode and wouldnt fully load up.
So in still trying to end up with a network unlocked phone i have managed to upgrade my phone to GINGERBREAD.XXJVQ 2.3.4 which was successful and work perfectly over my broadband wireless network but when i try to make calls it tell me
"MOBILE NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE"
the mobile was previously on three uk network but is now debranded obviously with gingerbread
i tried a hard reset via *2767*3855* but still no change.
any help greatly appreciated many thanks in advance
Ged
Just look like your phone have been locked on three network.and your unlock is failed.
Did you try found any phone shop on market to unlock your phone?
probably just five pound for each one on Chinatown.
I was stay in UK for 3 year, and as I know, the Chinatown guys have special device for unlock phone ,one simply for all, whatever you upgrade rom,you will be never locked again.
I'm not sure about that really cause it also does this with my correct network sim card still installed......
You've checked your apn settings? Sounds top suspect to me.
If you've still got problems, flash ezbase gingerbread. Search dev section, full, simple instructions included.
I tried that it tells me i should
"insert a sim card to access network services"
Could you point me in the right direction so i know im using the right programs and files
Please check your IMEI number by dialing *#06# on the keypad. If it displays the correct imei number as displayed on the Phone box/ under the battery, then you are saved. If not you have lost your efs folder which contains the files which hold the imei data.
Did u get the phone with Gingerbread as stock rom? Try downgrading to an Eclair (2.1) ROM with Odin.
hello again peoples,
I'm very grateful for all your assistance but i just wasn't paying attention when i was putting my SIM card into my phone and put it in the wrong way round...!
i mean what happened to SIM card slots where sim cards only fit in one way...!
again thanks alot for all your assistance also i've ended up upgrading to Insanity 2.3.5
Thank s
sadly I dont have backup of the files before flashing
I can access data, but I cannot make\ receive phone calls or messages.
please help as this is my only phone?
not sure if I can revert to an older rom, and which one to pick up.
I got mine on orange UK.
Are you saying that you don't know your IMEI?
1. check your invoice when you ordered the device (mine stated my IMEI).
2. login to orange uk website to manage your account and surf around, my IMEI was also listed in there
Or that you don't know how to change it?
1. What ROM are you running?
2. There is a secret code you can type into your dialer which will simultaneously do a factory reset and change your IMEI. Search the forums for this.
I remember reading somewhere on here that if you flash back to FroYo it will reinstate your IMEI number.
Perhaps use JPU 2.2.1
Hope it helps ;-)
flash with odin and done

nv_data.bin
and indeed I did! so now I got it restored
however since upgrading to ICS, I cannot use my o2 sim card is there anyway to unlock the phone on ICS?

I got this model with the stock rom RC29, and every time and turn on he ask me for google account but i cannot connect because for some reason doesn't show me wifi settings.
What can i do, i want a installed custom rom for this but all the steps of several cr ask me to download someting from te market or at least enter the menu of the G1 which i cannot do as i explain.
Salu2
you can
1. borrow a sim card from someone who has a tmobile data plan, sign in with that sim card and then swap it with yours.
2. follow steps to turn on wifi via adb. not to complected but you will need a bit of know how. (if you choose this step just search for the method in the forums)

try another sim and see if the problem is gone if another sim card works its ur sim
try another Rom and see if the problem is gone
and also check the IMEI and also tell me where u bought ur device
and if none of this then its the sim tray
Thanks for the reply I'll try everything however don't you think that its strange that the rom is not allowing my micro sim to be recognized? Is there any way I can check if it is truly unlocked? My IMEI numbers match perfectly ( the one you see trough android and the one you see on the back of the phone)

there is always that problem which u can't predict in android
i don't know of such way but if your not check galaxy sim it unlocks the sim
well that is good cause if the IMEI didn't match on both means someone changed it and it is illegal to do so
