can't exit bootloader mode and ActiveSync does not connect - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Hi folks,
Very strange: I tried to connect to the PC with ActiveSync 4.1 and the BA in the bootloader mode. Didn't connect. Tried a couple of times, reinstalled AS etc. No chance.
Therefore I wanted to be sure, there is no connection problem, I started the MAUpgrade tool, which connected successfully and showed the EPROM versions on the screen. So I started the upgrade procedure, as expected the BA went in the bootloader mode, but as before, from there nothing went on - it was not recognised by the PC or AS.
The strange story about it is, I connected very easily in the normal mode, I upgraded already in the past successfully ...
BUT NOW I'm really in trouble, because I can't exit anymore the bootloader mode. I tried a hard and soft reset, I have removed the battery for 10 minutes .... Now way, the sceen is always in bootloader. If I put the device in the cradle, it recognizes this, by showing USB, without cradle, its Serial. The bootloader shows the version 2.08
Shoud I replace the device and enquire with my provider for a new one?
Thanks and looking forward to hear from you, Alexander

Is my phone fried?

I posted a question last week and I was installing the ROM and windows crashed. My phone now has the bootloader screen (colored screen with USB in the corner). I had already upgraded to 2.17 which was fine. Any thoughts?
If you can still access the bootloader you have not fried your phone. Get it into bootloader - plug in your USB and connect to your PC and run the ROM upgrade again. If it fails again check the ROM is a good version ( re-download if your not sure) Failing that, do the process on a different PC.
BTW you do not need to run Activestink on the PC.
Best of luck

Ok,
When you turn on the phone and its in bootloder mode, when you connect the USB cable, do you see USB in the bottom left?
If so you should be able to flash a new rom from this page. I would suggest the OEM rom which you can download from htc website.
Try to reflash an OEM and then try again.
Thanks, I let you now wean i do this

Diamond with non-bundled AS?

Hey All.
I am on vacation, and just brougth a new notebook (lovely Medion Akoya), and i want to sync with my diamond. However, i downloaded the active sync from the ms homepage, and i get the "Unrecognized device" error all the time.
Yes, i tried to use different cables, yes i tried to deactivate the advanced network, however, i doesnt seem to recognize it at all.
Even if i do a softreset + volume down, i just get the SPL1-40 screen, but eventhou my phone is plugged in the USB, it doesnt say that, only "serial" when i disconnect.
I've been searching this forum the entire day, and i cant seem to find a solution. So, i kindly ask the gurus help me
Diamond running 0.95 bePe and pc running xp sp3.
Kind regards, Heien.
Try to flash a stock ROM and check if you run into the same problem.
In order to sync, you must be running the handset normally, don't enter bootloader mode.
Did the system prompt you for drivers the first time you connected it to the PC? Activesync 4.5 provides the rndis drivers.
the problem is, i cant even flash my device, i tried to flash it, but i get a connection error with the tool.
I know about the bootloadermode, and that i am not able to sync in that state, but i just wanted my pc/diamond to recognize the connection between them. The system did not prompt me for drivers, it just went straigth to unrecognized device. i even tried to point the the driverupdate tool to the drivers folder with the rndis drivers in the as folder.
-i also tried to hardreset my device.
Try doing the same on a fresh stock XP install, without firewall or anything similar.
We need to figure out if it's a problem with the handset itself or your OS/PC.
Try another USB port (DON'T use hubs).
Enter bootloader mode. When you connect it to the USB, it should at least toggle from serial to usb.
If that's the case, at least your USb is working well.

ActiveSync stuck on "Connecting...", Wizard freezes

Hi, I have a problem. I recently flashed my G3 Cingular 8125 to IPL 1.05 (The Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102.exe) so that I could CID unlock it and because I had a crash, which resulted in my phone to freeze everytime it reached the screen that said Windows Mobile 5. Before the flash, I could only connect my phone to my PC when it was in Boot mode, I hoped everything would be OK after that.
But it's not!
The phone runs OK now, everything works, except when I try to connect it to my PC. The second ActiveSync starts connecting to the phone, it freezes and needs a Soft Reset to get back up.
So here are the questions:
1) what could be the reason for these freezes?
2) How do I fix it?
3) If I don't succeed in fixing it, can I CID unlock it, if it is connected to my PC, but only in BOOT mode?
Thanks!

Sony Xperia E1 (D2005) Failed Philz Recovery. Stuck in bootloop with no recovery!!!

Hello everyone. I am in real trouble here and I will explain why. I have recently tried to get the custom recovery with a locked bootloader (philz touch) on my device by following a thread. As far as I know I followed the guide properly but when my device rebooted it bootlooped 10x and then when my device booted it froze at the lock screen and restarted. now my device bootloops several times before boot and once it boots I get 1min at the most before it freezes and restarts. Also sometimes it fails to boot at all and it gets stuck in an infinate bootloop and I have to pull the battery. when I connect it to my laptop with a usb cable it is only recognised if the device boots but I only have a few seconds because the phone reboots and disconnects when I try and enter recovery or download mode my screen goes black and the only way to get of this is to pull the battery. I have also tried to connect to my laptop when on this black screen but i have had no success. If I turn the phone off and connect it to my laptop via usb when I am on the "battery charging screen" it appears on my computer as a unknown usb device. i do have all the drivers ect. my device is rooted with baidu root if that helps. ive heard of a little device called a usb jig would that be useful to me? sorry if this is not worded very well or looks like a book. Im not a idiot but not quite "tech savy" i would like to think i am somewhere in the middle. I have been using this site for years for various devices and always managed to succeed. help would be apprecited. Thanks
UPDATE: I have tried to factory reset from the settings but for some reason the button is greyed out and it wont let me press it! also I cannot connect to wifi or mobile data these are greyed out aswell and when I try to connect via the sliders in the settings menu they are also greyed out!!!

Hi, you need an unlocked bootloader for it to work properly. You can find how to unlock the bootloader by going to Sony's website and see where it says to unlock the bootloader or just look for it on Google. To get back to the stock rom (Android 4.4.2 KitKat), you will need Flashtool and the stock rom. You can find the rom on Google by just typing "sony xperia e1 d2005 stock rom". To get the recovery just try looking for it on XDA. And USB Jig will not work for Sony devices. USB Jig is only designed to work with Samsung devices.
