HELP!!! Urgent! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Hello. I am in desperate need of help. I left my blueangel charging in the craddle last night only to find it this morning with a blank screen. After trying to soft and hard reset it without any success all it shows is the blue imate startup screen and the software versions in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I would appreciate any advice on the matter.

sounds like rom problems
first try remove battery for couple of minutes
also remove sdcard (if any inserted)
replace battery and reset device
if this won't help
Only thing you can try is to update the rom

I would also appreciate the contact details for a service center in spain. I have an Imate PDA2K bought in the UAE.

Thank you vastloper, I have tried that several times but makes no difference. On top of everything else I cant update the ROM as ActiveSync will not recognise the device, basically it will not connect to any other device. Any clue?

You do not need activesync to upgdate your rom, you need latest rom no matter which provider or version, reflas and then connect via activesync

why would ROM become defective all of a sudden? makes no sense.
take out the main battery and leave it for a few hours, (or overnight), so that the backup battery drains.
Then reassemble the phone - it should perform a hard reset on its own.
If this doesn't work, u may have a hardware problem.

try this for whoever get stuck at boot screen or in bootloader mode
1. Download mtty v1.42 from http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/mtty1.42.rar
2. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. put your device into Bootloader Mode by pressing Power + Record Button and Soft Reset.
4. Run mtty (from downloaded) Choose WCEUSBSH001
5. type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
6. type "task 28" to get your device formatted
7. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
8. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.
good luck.

Boot Loading Mode without Power Button

Hi...
As in topic, I've a PDA with damage power button
Is possible to go in Boot Loading Mode without use this button, maybe exist another combination or some utility to put pda in this state?
Iam not sure but isnt in the upgrading tools (Helmis ROM) an EnterBL.exe?
When I flash (other BAs in my pool) an original WinCE image from mi provider it automaticaly sets the device in bootloader mode.
BUT your next problem is that you can NOT hardreset the device without a working powerbutton!
Yes it is
But EnterBL.exe running from MDA take no effect
Yes the original one do that automatically, but for example Helmi's don't.
I may Hard Rest with: "Quickly press "Record" & "Camera" before the versions appear at bottom right" - I think .

HELP!!! Cannot enter 3 color Update mode any more !!!

Hi everybody
i use a
Orange SPV 3000 cid/sim unlocked
WM 6 NBD 7.3
IPL / SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25.11
OS 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
Now i tried to go back to the latest German ROM Update provided by ORANGE CH.
(RUU_Prodigy_21611_2161111_010410_OR_CH_GER_Ship.exe)
The Update Process start's on the PC Screen and remains on 0% and will terminate with ERROR [260]: UPDATE ERROR
The Phone hangs and cannot enter in "3 color update mode".
I have to take out and reinsert the battery to bring the Wizard back to Work.
Then the Wizard start's up and you can work without any Problems. (Exept you have to set the Date / Time again it is set to 2006-02-14 12:00)
Next Steps
- did a Reboot on the PC and the Wizard -> Same Result
- tried to Flash NBD 7.3 ROM again -> Same Result
- did a Hard Reset (press the 3 Buttons on Reset then Send Button ) and tried to Flash again -> Same Result
- tried to manualy enter Update mode (press Camera Button on Reset) with the same Result the "3 color update mode" will not appear
Has anybody a Idea what else i can do?
Tnx in advance for any HELP

dear mdajunkie
now i can enter bootloader mode manually
looks like i did not hold the camera button long enough before
thank you very mutch for your HELP
I assume the Problem is locatet on the PC and have to find out why i can't flash my Device again.
Recently i changed something on the PC - I installed a external BlueTooth-Dongle from MSI including the MSI BlueTooth Software
Starting now with the easyest step - reinstalling Active Sync 4.5 and try again.
Regards
Now everything works fine
I tried to Flash a ROM and it work's
i did not change anything exept entering the bootloader mode manually once.(no reinstall activesync or deinstall bt software !)
May be entering the Bootloader Mode manualy "cured" my PDA?
i don't know
Regard's
im glad you got it to work. Most important thing is to read make sure you know how to and are confident enough flash roms. Makes things a whole lot easier. Atleast that way if something goes wrong you will be able to backtrack a lot easier and maybe explain your situation a whole lot better. Hope everything else goes wonderful for you and have fun man.

Help I Can't Unlock My Diamond

Hi,
I have a big problem, today I connected my Diamond to my PC, when activesynch was connected, my Diamond has rebooted automaticly. After rebooting, my Diamond is locked automaticly and I can't unlock it. I have tried to unlock normaly (push, with the stylet, the button unlock) but nothing happens ! The TouchFlow don't work, I can't push the button !
I tried to reboot several times but for to reboot I can't push the power button because it is locked. I need to remove the battery and after my diamond reboot and it relock again.
I tried to HARD RESET (Volume Down and Enter button press + reset) but it's the same because these buttons are locked, it reboot same as soft reset.
My diamond has the ROM 1.37 UK and I have modified the configurations by the post "List of diamond tweaks" (with automatic locking and other performance configuration).
I just want to enter in my diamond but I can't flash again the ROM because it don't want to connect with activsynch because it is not started completly. It lock just when I have the screen "Windows mobile" in green.
Please Help me :-(
Take the battery out
Please read my post -->
"I tried to reboot several times but for to reboot I can't push the power button because it is locked. I need to remove the battery and after my diamond reboot and it relock again."
I know, I can reboot if I Take the battery out but after my Diamond is always locked.
Sounds like the phone is fubar'd...best to send it back seeing as you have tried most of the methods to get it sorted out.
wouldnt waste anymore time on it, id get it sent back to where you bought it from and get them to replace it or send it to HTC and get them to fix it.
Ok, I hope never have the same problem in the futur
Remote registry editing
If you can have the activesync connection working on your diamond, you could try to reset back the autolock feature by using a remote registry editor and the reboot your diamond.
You have to change back the following value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\AutoDevic eLockEnable to 0

HELP in Upgrading, my BA cannot be detected

Hi guys. I'm really new to BA upgrading. I have purchased an O2 XDA IIs thru Ebay and would want to upgrade it from its current WM 6.1 to WM 6.5 OS.
The problem is, I cannot sync thru Activesync, everytime I insert my device thru its USB cable it says "USB Device not recognized".
I also have an O2 XDA II and it does not have any problem syncing.
I have already tried every USB port of my PC and all displayed the same situations.
I'm using Activesync 4.5 and I have tried upgrading it and since its not even "recognized" in the end the upgrade tool would say "The ROM upgrade kit is not designed for my device".
I can put it in Bootloader Mode and it says "USB" mode everytime I connect the data cable to my PC.
Another problem I think is that I cannot do a HARD RESET. I mean I can put it in HARD RESET Mode where it asks me to choose YES or NO on 3 options, somehow, I cannot go beyond that. I dont know which button to press to activate the reset. I mean, I tried every button but no hard reset happens.
Guys I know you can help me on this. I think I'm gonna need your "divine influences" on this matter. Cheers.
if you are running vista OS or above, please refer to the wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardUpgrade4_Vista
to perform a hard reset
1. hold down power button + press soft-reset
2. immediately, hold down Power + Record + Camera buttons
3. Option 1 - No, 2 - Yes, 3 - Yes
4. Press Mail button
PS: please take out the SD card when during the flashing process.

ROM Update issue

I tried to do a TASK29 and somehow in the folder there was no task29.exe, so i used the ROMUpdate utility ..and asked me if i wanted to upgrade to somewhat ROM 2.0.0 (?something?)..(i thought that was part of task29 job...) and now my device is blocked in HTC white splash screen...
hard reset still same issue does...
is there any ROM Update utility that can be used without starting the windows from the phone?
or..what can i do to connect my phone to the PC?
i managed to do 4-5 ROM Updates without problems during time, but somehow..this TASK29 job did not work.
is it possible that i deleted the Operating system from the phone?

If am not mistaken, Task 29 did exactly what it should do which is wipe your device clean. Now what you have to do is enter bootloader by powering on your phone while holding the volume down button. If your phone is not off, do a soft reset by pressing the reset button on the side while holding down the volume down button. You should come to a tricolor screen and it will say "SERIAL" in the bottom. When you see this, plug in your USB and on the screen it should change from "SERIAL" to "USB". At this point open up your rom folder, click on the "Rom Update Utility" and follow the prompts and you should be all set. Hope it helps.

sorry. solution found
"if you fail to press vol down key and your phone get stuck on the white screen, just remove your battery, then try again: press power, and keep vol down pressed immediatly next, until the phone get to RVB bootloader.
When your phone is back to RVB bootloader screen, use the leocustomruu.exe provided with your favorite rom package to flash a new rom, or flash it from memory card using standard procedure."
you can close this thread.
