well after an interesting day and definitely a learning experience im on the v2.3 AKU rom done by Summiter (which is awesome btw) I've installed spb pocket plus, finance, tcpmp, and a few games, and everything is working like a charm, i wanted to just say thanks to summiter and other various members of the community who helped me out, this is the best place on the net to learn the ins & outs of cell phone modding / customizations.
thanks again i look forward to being the recipient of more great toys because some people are just brilliant and decide to share their knowledge with the rest of us. kudos

Just wanted to drop a note and say thanks to all the knowledgable people on this forum. I am a newbie to the PPC world and after stumbling across this forum I have learned TONS about my tilt and have been able to tweak the hell out of it to be able to do all that I could want.... Hell now i look around just to see what kind of stuff there is to put on my PPC just to play with. Thanks again for all the very awesome knowledge put on here for a newbie's use.
i would also like to thank everyone here. xda-dev rocks and should take over the world to make it a better place for everyone!
BUMP for all those rad mofo's
+1
i myself am indebt towards this wonderful community and its great members. the immense amount of knowledge i have gained from here is priceless.
thank u xda and its members.
also have u been able to add Tom Tom ?
yeah this forum is excellent. I learned so much about my phone and I just browse this site on a daily basis to see any new programs I could you. You guys should donate to this great site. Just a thought. Remember every dollar counts because who uses pennies anymore.
As the holidays are over, they barely have any work left for me at my current job and I must start looking for another job to make some money for college.
I've made a CV before, but it wasn't exactly a great one and I've gained lots of new experiences since then.
I have some experience in application development, I've messed with servers, Wordpress, PHPbb boards, Linux and I'm learning C++, but I don't know if it's a good idea to include all of this in a CV for a college job (probably in some store or something). That's the tricky part: you don't need to be a rocket scientist to operate a cash register, but on the other hand, it's a considerable experience.
I'm pretty sure you guys have useful advice to share and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
that was quite useful knowledge
will help me in future
Hi fellas
I have a windows mobile site 1800PocketPC.com, its just over a year old. I was wondering if you guys have heard of it ?
We usually post about freewares and the latest hardware news about windows mobile. We dont have a forum for people to hang out coz we think as long as xda-devs and ppcgeeks are there why would anyone need a forum for windows mobile. I was hoping to get some constructive criticism about the site and ways we can improve the site.
You can also subscribe to our RSS ot Twitter
I know your site for some time and it´s very good, I like the format (exept for a narrower line of adds on the right)
Congrats!
I go all the time
I really like the site,
only thing is you could be be a little bit more "selective" or "picky"
At least what I think this could be "Pearls and beauty" of xda-developers.com for the average guy.
- I really like the category style!
- The Wallpaper stuff: Naaaahh I think you will catch some fishes with this but is it really needed? I think it makes the site look a bit cheap.
- RSS and twitter is great: every Headline was a hit so far (well some exeptions but I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder).
- Customisable rss and twitter by categorys and user would be the ultimate I think (but this would almost need the power of a socialnetwork)
- You are already on the top scores of google! (at least when I search for something)
- You can discover the real beauty of google translator when visiting your site Microfi Nitrogen -> Microfi Stickstoff (Germans get the joke)
but besides of the jokes it can be really usefull.
- I can´t test right now but have you checked "freedom from barriers"? The new "touchscreen generation" of phones might be great for handicapped persons. Would also be great to have a rating system for them as well.
So far really great
THX for this site
thanks for the kind words fellas.
@ moesfeld : Customisable rss and twitter by categorys is a great idea, I will look in to getting it done in the near future.
I am in the dark about "freedom from barriers" , do you have any links from where I can read more regarding this ?
Hi sajio,
You have really done a great job with the site, i actually am now quite addicted to your site to catch on the software which i miss on XDA. So keep up the good work and i hope with all the frequent updates and personal attention, you have made it full of valuable resources. What i think is keep your site fresh alway like you do now, and you would not need anything additional.
Regards
Sharif Ansari

Well it pretty much depends on what cms you use. Many have the "accessability for disabled" already inbuild.
I found the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Also I found the Web Accessibility Toolbar that lets you check if you meet the guidelines.
I know your site a while ago, and I like very much.
Keep it up
I go there @ll the time nice job!
thanks guys
i love it and subscribe to rss for it. thanks for you hard work.
you are welcome
Most of the forum members, developers, has a link in their signature (including myself) a link for donation to them!
What do you think of that? You want to flame or encourage? Post below!
My thoughts!
Well you know, I have seen both the worlds. I used to hate it when a person ask for donation! That was until I joined the Chef world.
Now, my perception has changed. You know, its not an easy thing in this community (PDA, not just XDA) to get the latest leaks! There are only a few sources, and not everything is open to public. Only a few is open to a few, you cant get the right contact, then you dont get nothing!
Atleast thats how this was a few months ago.
Now Donations, helps, cuz I know a lot of Chefs, donate amongst themselves (share profit) to keep this chain going, and get latest stuff and fixes shared between them.
People like Da_G, tom_Codon, bikedestroyx, chainfire, indagroove, joshkoss and many others actually changed this culture a bit. But still, personally, lots of stuff in PDA world, revolves around donations, and even a dollar helps!
Now, tell me what you think!...LOL
PS: I do hate money hungry cooks who demand donation for their work!
EDIT: I strongly recommend people donating to this forum though!
You need to wait until someone that have a very good heart likes what I've posted and donate you.

I dont need donation! I do this thing for fun...although donation at times helps so that I can pay other sources...
I support donations for ROM chefs and developers. When 6.5.x ROMs were far and few for the Kaiser despite all the leaks, I decided to cook my own ROM with Twopumpchump's kitchen. In the few weeks I was cooking my own personal ROMs, I realized how much work it takes to make onebugfree ROM, let alone regular ROM releases every week. It takes a lot of time, and a lot of effort to keep that up. Program development is the same, and developers who create useful things, from simple applets to full linux ports, deserve te occasional token of appreciation, no matter how small, if you appreciate their work or use their program a lot. Though the primary cause of cooking or developing should be enjoyment or helping the community, a small donation here or there can encourage further development and even help pay for things that will assist in further development (as in the case of HardSPL).
The only situation when I don't support donations is when the chef creates ROMs that require a donation to download. Once it gets to that point, they are essentially charging for that version of the ROM, and IMO that's not okay to do. It endangers the free and sharing spirit that XDA centers itself around. It's also against XDA-Developers' rules.

I agree. Cooking a good ROM takes hours and also lots of flashing!
Hi XDApeeps,
I've been a proud member and developer of XDA for some time now and decided to share something I do in my spare time other then ROM development with you all for your entertainment.
I'm a beatboxer and have been doing it for 6 years now. What first began with my friend showing me this amazing talent of other well known beatboxers on his MP3 player became a skill I also acquired over time. I am self taught, I did not have the aid of lessons, tutorials or friends that could beatbox to learn from; all accomplished and learnt purely from listening, much practise and a lot of dedication.
Anyway, rather then blabblering on you can find my very first youtube video below which I have just uploaded as my friends and family insisted I made this available for all to hear:
