On my Qtek s200 the backlight is always on when i use TT5. I installed a new menu with the item "backlight settings" but whatever i choose as setting, the backlight stays on .
Does anyone have a clue?
Just press and hold Power button for a few seconds and the backlight will turn off. Do the same to re - enable it

I'm fed up of having no backlight on the password screen, when using the lock function.
When i turn the kaiser on, it doesnt light up, until i type in the pin code and get back to the today screen, in the dark its a joke trying to see thescreen.
Any ideas?
Thanks
+1. This is a pain also when out in the sun. Is there any reg key or anything that as soon as you touch the 'Unlock' or 'Password' softkey you get the backlight on?
Function As Designed.
The Backlight turns off when the Phone is Locked. It goes to "sleep."
Try This. Start -> Settings -> Keylock -> "Do not Lock Keys" Then OK Lock your Device and Hit The OK or Green Phone Button and see if it lights up.

Hi,
Now i have to ask, because i can't find my self. Is there any app to Touch Pro what would disable all connections when i press power button? When im not using phone, i always press power button so screen goes black and it won't use unnecessary power. It would be very good, if same time all data connections, bluetooth etc. would be disabled.
That would be handy. I'd use it! But until we find it you could do what I do.
Set the long-press button to toggle Airplane Mode. To turn off the phone you hold down the hang-up key to kill the radios and then use the power button to black the screen. To turn on you'd use the power button and then hold down the hangup to turn all the radios back on. It's an extra step and takes an extra 5 seconds but it works.
You can also have the long-press pop up an option menu.
Just a thought.
Hi, please forgive me for asking such a dumb question. I imagine my problem is not that uncommon. By default, the phone turns off back light if I don't touch any key for 30 seconds (feels like shorter than that). Anyway, I dial in to check my voicemail. Due to the length of the message, the back light turns off. It looks like there is no key other than the power button can bring the screen back. Sometimes, I have to press the power button a couple of times before the screen comes back, then when I try to delete the message (by pressing 7) sometimes I don't even see the keypad any more. It's just a bit of hassle. Can you tell me how you would do it?
thanks very much!
I'm not sure if there's an option for the phone not to switch the backlight off and/or go to sleep while in a phone call.
If you want to control the duration before the phone switches off the backlight or goes to sleep, you will have to change the backlight or power settings ujnder Settings -> System.
didn't know when and how it was set at 10 sec backlight

Thanks! I went into Settings -> System -> backlight and realized that it was set to was set at 10 sec on battery. I don't know when it got changed. Reset it back to 30 sec. should be better now. Changed the power to turn off after 3 min, too.
Is there any way to turn off the display while maintaining the USB connection?
push the power button.
I should clarify that I would like only the display to turn off, and not put the device in Suspend, which is what the power button does. Pressing the power button ceases the device's USB data connection.
i have not paid too much attention to this, but if you goto power settings (where you can change the back light options),
in the advanced tab, toggle the 'turn off back light if not used' under the external power category.
see if that helps.
The power settings only have options to dim the backlight (Start>Settings>System>Power>Backlight)
