I have unlocked a Orange SPV M3000, and after few shots the camera stopped working, freezing the screen. Only soft reset turned alive the device. I have tried hard reset, I have tried other ROMs - no result. After installing the T-Mobile UK AKU 2.3, the camera started to work, but the image is constantly moving, and the quality of the picture is low. Tried the different patches that are on this forum, the result is the same. Everything else is working fine.
I'll appreciate any suggestions,
Thanks

hi!
after unlocking and upgrading my SPV M3000 (Qtek 9100), the camera stopped working and was freezing the PPC. only soft reset made the PPC usable. I have tried to hard reset and then changed some versions of software. finally, I have installed SUMMITER's custom AKU 2.3 rom. it says now:
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0)
ROM 2.24.10.1 WWE
ROM Date 4/17/06
Radio 02.25.11
Protocol 4.1.13.12
the camera started working, but somehow wiered. it is blinking, the image is all the time moving/jumping, it is of poor quality, and the final outcome looks like in the picture below.
any idea what might help?
thanks!
Did you allow the Cingular Operator Customizations to install?
I know there is atleast on Cab file in there that 'adjusts' camera settings.
If you did then I would try a hard reset, then a soft reset when you see the message about customizing your device in 3 seconds.
Then try the camera and see if it is working differently.
Also, you could try installing the unmodified T-Mobile AKU 2.3 Rom (which Summiter's version is based on) to see if the problem is with Mods Summiter made to the OS.
As a last resort, install the latest official release from your device provider and see if the problem presists.
Hi,
I upgraded a Cingular SX66 unit using maupgradeut_noid and the latest AKU 3.5.2 WM5 ROM. Afterward, I had no radio ROM so I updated to the 1.15.00 release. However, my phone is still unable to make/receive calls or data (with multiple good SIMs.) It appears the radio ROM is having issues with this WM5 package because sometimes on hard restarts the boot screen lists R: and G: as NONE, but after a soft reboot they usually show the correct versions.
I searched and can't find any postings about this type of behavior. Nothing useful to report from the phone other than it says "phone is not ready" and "no service" with a good SIM.
I have several of these PDAs that I want to distribute to my internal staff with WM5 so they don't have to learn WM2003 (all of our other devices are WM5 or WM6.) Any recommendations on a procedure to test the radio ROM or a different combination of OS and radio ROMs?
Thanks for the help.
PS. running getdevicedata.exe yields the following:
PH20B1 WWE A %CID? 5.35.05. 1.15.00 % 4
downgrade to wm2003 and try to flash again radio 1.15 and post the results

Take it easy
all BA HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU DESRIBLE
IF YOU USE WM2003 THE PROBLEM WILL DISAPPEAR~ SO,JUST SOFT RESET
YOUR PHONE EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE YOUR BETTERY!!
just one softreset, and when you need to charge, charge it when it reaches the 40%, etc, just don't take out the battery, or you will have to softreset it again for the radio work.
it is just the same with mine sx66, and i don't care at all.
Thanks for the notes...I kind of learned the soft reset 'fix' on my own, a little disappointing but I guess we're stuck with it. Why would I want to downgrade my phone to 2003? The whole point was to move to WM5 so my users and support team all work with the same interface.
Of course...my next project is to find out why SMSplus works on 8525 phones and not 8125 (standard Cingular OS load.) Might have to upgrade the 8125s to WM6 (sigh)
i just upgrading my xda IIs from wm2003 to wm6. It works well, but after few seconds (i didnt push any button), it will restarting itself (softreset it self).
it happen all the time, even i turn off my mobile.
if i take off the battery and put it again and turn it on, the radio and protocol was not detected, and my IIs become normal (works well) but cannot making call
so i tried upgrade my radio from v1.12 to v1.15, but it still not working
so, anyone can help me to solve my problems?
this is my first time upgrading
my xdaIIs specs:
wm6 OS 5.2.1620 build 18125.0.4.2
rom 5.60.00 WWE (date 03/02/05)
radio v1.15
protocol 1337.42
If you had a bit of patience and look for search button, all your questions would be answered. I personally answered both questions several times.
Hi all, I 've just update my Tilt to the WWE WM6.1 ROM, but after that, when I connect the Tilt with my computer & soft reset the tilt, it will hangs at startup screen, if I disconnect it & soft reset, it becomes normal, anyone has this problem too?
here is the information of my tilt:
ROM ver: 3.28.405.0 CHT <----I sure I load the WWE 6.1 ROM to it?
ROM date: 05/02/08
Radio version: 1.65.16.25
Protocol version: 25.83.40.02H
this is just the tip of the iceberg. wait until you notice other issues, especially if you were using lots of 3rd party software. core media player and skype are two very commonly used pieces of software that dont work as well. i have spent the whole of sunday torturing myself with this update.
i tried to be careful and waited until the official rom update appeared. i was patient and i thought i was wise, but it didnt help. i might have to revert back to 6.0 after a few days of testing
This should have been posted in the ROM section but anyways you need to check out this to see how pissed people are about it so dont think its just yourself
