i just downgraded from 2.25 to 1.08 and now my ipl is 1.08 spl is still 2.25. So is it safe to update the ROM to summiters with bootloader. This is the option 1 in his multi-installer. "1) Full AKU 2.3 custom ROM with OS, extended ROM, radio, and bootloader"

I was able to successfuly CID unlock my phone when I downgraded to a 1.08 IPL with a 2.25 SPL. Warning though that many people have reported brickage with different versions on IPL/SPL. Worked for me tho after I CID unlocked it.
i did a CID unlock on 1.08 and upgraded to summiters. If it hasnt bricked, it wont in the future right.
I CID unlocked mine as well after doing the same. Went up to 2.25 after having the stock 1.8 on there. Then, after getting pissed with the dropped calls, I went back to 1.8, and had the same numbers. It appears I've successfully both SIM and CID unlocked the phone, although the only thing I've done since I CID unlocked was wiped out the Extended ROM.
I wish I could say that it wont in the future but I honestly am a little worried about that myself. Both my IPL and SPL match again on the Mr. Clean ROM (2.24a). But when I CID unlocked the phone I was booting with 1.08 IPL and 2.25 SPL unmatched. It seems to be working great, but I dunno how the next flash will go.

I ran lokiwiz's CID-Unlock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=249474)
I used the instructions in shogunmark's Cingular 2.26 Aku2.3 w/a2dp FULLY LOADED thread with that RUU.
Now when I boot my 8125 it displays:
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
OS 2.26.10.2
It takes about 3 minutes from a cold start then freezes at the password screen.
What now?
If I boot into bootloader mode, how can I fix this?

possibly your 8125 is nit cid unlocked
that cingular rom shouldnot have any problem with flashing

As far as I know, I cid-unlocked. I use lokiwiz's newest release here. Now I did not do the SuperCID unlock only the regular unlock. Anyone care to explain what the supercid unlock is?
I am having a weird problem. I am unable to reflash back to the stock cingular 2.25 rom you get from the htcamerica.net site. Here's what happened. First of all I started off with
ipl 2.25
spl 2.25
GSM 2.25
OS 2.25
I was interested in istalling Faria's Aku 3.2 rom, So I downgraded to CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE then I ended up with
ipl 1.01
spl 1.01
GSM 1.12.10
OS 1.5.4.2
Then I CID unlocked the phone with lockwiz 02b. Then I installed Molski's RUU_Molski.Biz_AKU2.3-226102_22610105_024711_WWE-30MB-CF2, which gave me
ipl 2.26
spl 2.26
GSM 1.12.10
OS 1.5.4.2
All seem to go well when I saw molski's flash screen, and his ext rom installed. But I was skeptical when I saw the GSM and OS still at 1.12.10, and 1.5.4.2 respectively. Anyways, I figure thats the way it should be. So then I tried to Flash Faria's FARIA-HTC-WIZARD -3.2-RC1-8MB, but nothing installed but the flash screen. The ext rom tried to installed but ended with a "windows cannot find autoconfig.exe" error. After several attemts I gave up and try to reflash back to the stock 2.25 Rom, and I am getting a "Upgrade error, invalid nbf file." Well something like that. Anyways, after several attempts, its a no go.
So what do I do from here. Do I start over with the downgrade rom and make sure that it was CID unlocked then start over again, or is there a step I am missing.
Ok, I figured it out. Finally. Apparently lockwiz 2.0 didn't CID unlock the device correctly, so I tried using lockwiz 2.0b and it Correctly CID unlock the device. I have finally been able to flash Faria's AKU 3.2. Yippeeeee.....
Hi all. Tried and tried in vain, to replace the T-mobile splash screen, only to find out that the phone is CID locked.
Managed to upgrade to WM6 though, thanks to vlodeck and nocturne.op.15
Here's the phone details:
IPL: 2.06
SPL: 2.06.0000
GSM: 02.19.21
OS: 10.2.0.8 (WM6 by vlodeck & nocturne)
Oh, and also worth mentioning, my PC is running on Vista Ultimate, on which RUU's don't work. But some people said that if I install VMWare Virtual PC and install XP on that, RUU works through it.
So, how to unlock CID of this phone?

to cid unlock to need a ver. 1.xx of ipl/spl. And seeing you have 2.xx you cant really downgrade to ver.1.x
but can you told me whats rom have ispl ipl 1.x??

will have ipl and spl ver 1. wherever you can get to install or not, might work with a noID ruu. then you can use lokiwiz2 to unlock the CID
There are rom versions that have 1.xx IPL and SPL but from my own experience I know, that once you upgraded to 2.xx or more, you cant get back to 1.xx. The most you can get is 1.xx IPL and 2.xx SPL.

adexxx, you misunderstood me. You can't get 1.xx IPL and 1.xx SPL once you've already upgraded to 2.xx.
If it's an official ROM then you can flash it no problem. If its a custom ROM, use the tool I described in WM6 charmer thread.
When I tried to update with RUU: RUU_Charmer_38221_382127_026921_TMO_HR_WWE_Ship it showed error: INVALID VENDOR

I have a sim unlocked MDA Vario (T-Mobile), but i want install any custom rom to it. I have followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 but instead lokiwiz i used the aWizard-V1_3beta2.zip. At the first step i downgraded my phone with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102. I used the u function for the cid unlock after my device is restarted. But i cannot flash any rom into the device. I still get the 302 error. My device is still Cid locked? After the cid unlocking i got IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.xx after i reflashed with the buttopn 1.05 and the t-mobile 2.26 after i get the 302 message when i tried to flash a different brand rom. My original is IPL 2.26 / SPL 2.26 ROM is 2.26
Strange.... I compared the two dumps from two programs aWizard-V1_3beta2 / Lokiwizardb2 /lock_backup.bin before unlocking and cidunlocked.bin after unlocking/ is the same in the two programs. The question is? How possible the patched dump which is the lock_backup.bin is the same as the secondly patched lock_backup? The soft is not really pathcing?

You're not CID unlocked yet. You need to flash and reflash the XDA_MiniS rom or the button ROM until both your IPL and SPL are 1.xx and then CID unlock your phone. Sometime it takes a few time (up to 7 times or more) to get both your IPL and SPL to 1.xx so be patient and keep reflashing until you are successful. Once you're successful, or think you are, download and run Wizard Service tools (google for it) and click on CID actions to verify that you are actually CID unlocked and then flash back to the t-mobile ROM. After that you should be able to flash any ROM you want.

Can't Downgrad SPL 3.08
Tried 9 times now to flash the Button Rom to downgrade and I get the IPI to 1.05 (or 1.01) but the SPL is still stuck on 3.08. Any suggestions to download so I can unlock the CID?

I believe that my brother' Wizard is CID unlocked already, because I also flashed many WM5 into it. But few days ago I tried to flash the WM6.1 and now it is stuck at the 1st splash screen.
I have a lot experiences from flashing rom by Hermes, Atom, Herald, Kaiser… I have read and tried many time how to solve this problem but it did not work. The re-flashing progress was exellent with ’ CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE’, the screen still say as below:
IPL 1.01
SPL 3.08
GSM 01.12.01
OS 1.5.4.2
But any flash with other roms like T-Mobile 2.26 was stopped by connection or ID errors. The problem is how can I get the IPL/SPL back to 1.xx!

Run the button rom ( custom rom you identified ) again - it can take a few tries, but both your ipl and spl have to be the same 1.xx
You need ipl/spl of 1.xx to unlock
You need ipl/spl of 2.xx to upgrade to wm6
I had to run the button rom twice to achieve this

I know how to do it and did it many (10 ) times with custom rom but no good result. The IPL has been downgarded to 1.01 but SPL is still 3.08.

Check out the response from mestrini on the attached thread - he mentions something about the spl freezing if you downgrade from 3.xx to 1.xx
I was not aware of this info - and perhaps mestrini can give you some details on how to get around it - if that is the issue here.

Try to bring ipl to 3.08 by reflashing ipl/spl 3.08 to bring both ipl/spl to 3.08 and then flash the official stock rom to downgrade to 2.xx and then downgrade to 1.xx by button's rom 1.05.

If it had once got spl 2.26,you shud have tried to flash the button's a couple of more times to downgrade the spl to 1.xx,why again you upgraded to 3.08. Now I believe the SPL is locked at 3.08 and it requires more efforts to downgrade to 2.xx,the only way is to keep on flashing the tmo 2.26 some more times,if you are lucky,it might downgrade.Otherwise upgrade to 3.08 and keep using wm5 official stock Rom.
