help for bootloader ...

i am trying to go into bootloader for my QTEK 2020i but i think i failed
i am using the combination key D-pad (middle) + power + reset
this gona hard reset and i gona lost my data any help for bootloader menu

i want to backup my data but i lost my data /.....

is upgrade to wm6 still possible?

I have an O2 XDA II2 with camera button not working (it needs to be
replaced) and with missing SD (I tried a 1GB Sandisk and 512MB Maxell).
I'd like to update to wm6 but after reading the nice guides in this site now I
know that I need that button during the process (...Quickly press "Record"
& "Camera" before the versions appear at bottom right OR press "Power"
& "Camera" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time...)
My hope is that upgrading SD will work again.
So the question is: is it possinle to avoid the use of camera button?
In some forum I red that a missing driver (cab file in ext rom) should cause
problem with sd access: is it true?

i had a tought time fighting my sd card reader too, but i found out a part which is loose when i ripped my BA apart, i uses a cardboard to depress on it then screen back, this way, the cardboard will apply pressure on the point which is loose. it works again and perfectly fine now..

Hi Gianni.
If you are upgrading to WM6 from a lower version, i dont think you need a CAMERA button.
All you need to do is download a WM6 (Helmi, PDAViet, Xplode) and set the BA to SERIAL mode by holding down power button + record button(the one above camera) + soft reset.
The step will bring you to serial mode and then you can connect the BA to the computer. The BA will then change from SERIAL mode to USB mode.
Now you can install the WM6.. =D
Hope it helps.. for atleast it works for me.. without the cam button

Ok, but I need to press RECORD+CAMERA+RESET at the end of the upgrade
process to get an hard reset and RECORD and CAMERA to select and set
the right values for
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
It should be necessary as far as I know.
Isn't it?

hi Gianni,
you NEED NOT hard reset..
Skip everything and just proceed to -> Power button + Soft reset then Record + Camera
Proceed to put BA in dock after seeing Serial, and install wm6 after serial changed to USB..=)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
This is for hard reset, not required for installing new firmware, because by installing a new firmware = hard reset already.. LOL

Excuse me if I was unclear but the problem is that I can't use the camera button as it doesn't work.

KAISER reboot undefinetly

Hello everybodies,
I just upgrade ROM on my kaiser htc, now it's doesn't work, it's boot indefinetly...
Someone can help me plz, thx in advance

Does it start loading the OS? Or is it on the tri-color bootloader screen.
Try enter the bootloader (camera button pressed + reset) and load the ROM again.

Try a hard reset first, if you haven't. I did something at some point that caused that to happen and a hard reset straightened it all out.

It requires blood, prick your finger and feed the tilt.

Try the hard reset or see if you can put it into bootloader mode (power button + camera button + reset). Connect via active sync and see if you get USB and can reflash (or flash a different ROM).

how can I Upgrade my Xda II if my camera and record button is broken? :(

Certainly when upgrade from WM03 to WM06, we all must go to the boot loader option to clean registry, disable KITL, clean storage...etc . However,poor me, I have an XDAII with broken record and camera button, so that I can not get in Boot Loader ( Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton )
So could any one solve this problem?

As this is a mechanical problem, - you can't press buttons, which are physically not there -, there is no software solution!
A little workaround might be possible, but untested yet:
As it is not necessarily so, that you have to do a hard reset to end upgrading,
you can try to skip it, in case the last thing you did in WM2k3(SE) was a hardreset.
There should no difference to a fresh upgraded system, which had done a hr afterwards, but it's untested!!!
To do a hard reset on a running WM5 or WM6.X system, you can try to downgrade, hardreset WM2k3(SE) (As I remember this OS does use this buttons to hr) and then upgrade again. It looks wierd, but might work.
For cookers only:
I suggest to use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=510805,
as it's a WWE rom without camera-function for cooking.
Delete everything that belongs to the camera to get a little bit more sectors to fill with apps and proggis you need.

Thank so much for your helping, your guiding is quite clear and detailed but....it's not work surely. The way to get in boot loader depend on model of Xda, not depend on the version of rom. The Himalaya use fomular "Reset +Camera + Button" permanent whatever u use any wmXX

Well, I use Powerbutton -DPad -Reset to enter bootloader. No use of Camera button there.
In WM2k3(SE) the hard reset is powerbutton and reset, as I remember, please correct me, if I´m wrong.
Still no use of the missing button.
Enter bootloader and flash, then try to skip hard reset. Although it is better it is not needed.
To do a hard reset on a running WM5/6.X system use the tool of post#18 here:

Change options to allow hardreset, tap on left upmost icon twice, tap and hold hardreset and run selected.
Voila, no button needed!!!
Tap the icon left of the '?' and enter anything you want. Congratulations.

What are the possible resetting?
Soft Reset, hard reset, etc...
And how do I do them?
WIll they harm the OS in anyway?
I want to clean the device after testing it so it will be clean when it is given as a gift.

Put it back in the state as it was (hard reset).
Possible in the menu (Settings/Privacy), or: Take the sim out, and than *2767*3855#

Soft reset is nothing just removing background application/process. As you just reboot your device.
Hard reset, wipe off your data, n will b just as out of box.
you can do with
1. setting - privacy - factory data reset (if you select format USB storage, then only data on USB storage will be wiped, as such no needed)
2.From recovery, Vol up + home + power - select wipe data
Hard reset won't revert back to previous ROM, it will same ROM which is you have right now. To revert back to old ROM, you need PC Odin.

I have neber used kies for this purpose
you can use My Back up (non rootable version) to backup data.

It will have less set of function for non rooted note.

volume up+home+power button doesnot work why

after i off my mobile and then i press vol up+home+power button ........a boot screen appears with its model name but doesnot go to that reset mode ......Dr ketan why its not working .....what should i do now
