Change HTC home clock colors!!

Taken from another thread in Hermes section
HTC Home Clock Aqua Glow Thread

For me, all I did was copy and paste these files to my windows directory and soft reset. It worked after that! Matrix FTW!

Do you have to disable the HTCHome first ? Wouldn't you get access problems when overwriting these files ?

Disable HTCHome and copy all files to your HTCHome dir

I didnt even disable it.
copied them over, soft reset, and i was done!
Though if you DO have write errors, then yes, disable and then enable.

You dont even have to soft reset. Just disable home plugin, overwrite the files and then enable the plugin again and it should be set.

Lets try the longest, most sure to work way.
Disable HTC home
soft reset
upon boot, connect via USB
try copying files over, if access error again, make sure the files on the phone are not "read only" (You can check by selecting it, right clicking, and clicking properties)
If they are read only, uncheck it, if not, I really dont know whats wrong.

i figured that the "read only" might be a problem. but when i connect via USB. i cannot access the windows directory of the phone from my computer. when i browse device. i cannot see the file names windows??? help please

i learned how to make whatever color clock i want using photoshop. might even work with paint. just get hold of any clock file load it up and color away. save the file as whatever you would like to call it and then add to the htc home customizer clock schemes folder. programs/file explorer/my device/program files/htc home customizer/files/clock.

i did search but i cant seem to find my htchome dir. I tried both sync, and guest sync(ing?) but still cannot find this dir. Are you supposed to put the files in the dir on the mobile device? If so how do you 1) select more than file and 2) how do you cut/copy or move it. I have full commander 2 if it helps any

HTC Home Customizer works on the Wing. I assume that it will work on the Herald. You can download all sorts of themes/icons/clock colors without overwriting files. Once you're done you can even delete HHC & keep the selected changes. Pretty nice.

so i want to give you something back and here it is:
i've taken the vista startupscreen before you logon from a few well hidden dll's and extracted the relevant images and sound.

How do you execute Startup.reg? I copied it to My Documets and click it but got an error. I have a progam called MobileRegistryEditor but it on't let me edi he registry, just view it.

hi osokona,
it's like under windows desktop os. simply click the .reg and windows will ask you if you're sure to add.
if this isn't working for you, something with your windows mobile is wrong or a setting from third party program.
if you have a registry editor, you can add the values by hand

That's real cute... cept that it doesn't care what your system volume is set at... it's loud as hell at 1am.

change the "volumn" setting e.g.

i want it as load as possible, so e.g. every it-freak who knows windows vista on train or whereever i am, hopefully thinks i've got really windows vista on my mobilephone (spoof people)

Agreed, GIF animation is a bit slow.. Maybe if pause between frames are reduced a bit, it will look better..

Anyway to shrink down the size of the orb so the resolution is better?

I took the plunge and made the animation quicker.. I`ve tried my best to sync sound too, but unfortunately my device won`t play startup sound due to ROM bug..
I don`t know why Hermes turns white when this animation is finished, then flashes, then shows welcome png, is this same on Kaiser too ?

the original vista orb, as shown on first page, is high resoultion. when i make the animation with "easy gif animator" he reduced colors :-(
in photoshop everything is ok, because ps uses selective colors instead of web-safe-colors
if someone knows a program to make a better animation or will try itself here are the source files in bitmap and optimized gif's from adope photoshop -> download moved to first post!
edit:
now i know who to create an animated gif in adobe photoshop cs3 (honest, since version cs3 it sucks really. shame on you adobe), but it will me take some hours. this means: expect the better image quality end of week or maybe next week.

Simple black and blue theme - Rltoday - UL - HTC Dialer - S2U2 - ThumbCal and more

As I said on "your device screens":
Here is my new one, took me days to finish,
skinned almost everything that could get skinned,
going from s2u2 battery to thumbcall to Rltoday to dialer etc.
I'm not good at creating icons so everything is done with text.
The idea for the s2u2 wallpaper (where he has a chain)
and setvolume (also with text) I took from oseven,
but adjusted it to fit my style... Hope he doesn't mind.
For home I use Rltoday as the main skin (bottom)
and UL (top) as the app-, home-, calender-launcher.
Only problems I have is the Comm manager being kinda transparant,
when pushing a button, leavin on and off (inschakelen & uitschakelen) being visible over each other.
And the dialer is visualy kinda slow only on the numbers (but I had this problem with every dialer I tried) backspace and history respond like they should
(Update: This is fixed, this was only a problem on my phone, I adjusted some settings, and now everything 's ok.)
If anyone got any solution for those, will be appreciated.

To install:
Make sure you backup your device first, cause this will overwrite most off the original ones...
S2V,S2U2,S2P:
Copy the files to the gfx folder and overwrite original,
for the clock I used the folder inside gfx named "clockHS"
don't forget to select that one in settings "Clock Font Folder"
Comm, Dialer, HTC Home, SpbCalc, Welcomehead:
Copy all files to the Windows folder and overwrite original
Font:
Copy to folder "Font" in your Windows directory
iContact:
Copy to iContact folder and choose "Simple" skin in settings
rlToday:
Copy to your rlToday folder in a new map named "Simple" (or wathever you like) and select that theme
Pressing the date will open up ThumbCal.
Pressing Calls will open up your dialer, if you want it to open up iContact (wich I changed on my phone today), edit that piece from the xml to this

New Comm manager image, no transparancy problems, works like a charm, doesn't fit the theme as well as the first one, but still cool! Tried a darker one first, so you can read the grey text a little better, but didn't look that good as this one. Let me know what you think...

I'll have to redo most of the graphics + I don't think Rltoday will look good in landscape + not enough place combined with the HTC Home.

Can you post a screenshot of the problem?
EDIT: Maybe this is the problem, download this zipfile, cause this forum changed the pictures from PNG to JPG
Don't mind the psd file, I forgot to remove it from the map
But you can use it, to change the loading screen...

It dosent seem to be uninstallable.

The icons cab overwrites a dll also. You lose the nice big wm6.5 finger friendly submenus and it puts the old looking wm6.1 ones in place of them. bronzeres.dll is altered/replaced and if you dont back it up first, you may have to hard reset to get your original look back. Lets just say I found out the hard way

The bronzeres.dll has to be altered to change the icons.... I installed and uninstalled this cab at least 4 or 5 times and it didn't affect anything.
@ adam sorry man I uploaded the wrong file... you should be able to manually remove the st_water files from your device and the old ones should come back

Maybe its a rom specific problem then, it does in the RRE 6.5 rom, at least on mine. As soon as I install the cab, the sub menus are changed to the smaller old style ones. After uninstall they remain.

That's odd because the bronzeres only has chome items in it, nothing else.

Just some to use in a launcher type panel, like for opera, internet sharing, total commander, to get started. I figured you would probably have a psd or xcf file or something to easily make new ones by changing text. Thanks for the matching taskbar.

Firstly id like to say that this skin is amazing, here are a few things i found after install, starting from the top down:
1: "Start" text has not changed
2: Cannot change "getting started" text to say "Programs"
3: text for the weather seems slightly indented and smaller
4: the Notifications Panel (CHome) does not point to any icons in the bronzres.dll
This is really really nice though.

I am not sure, I didn't install anything except,ATContacts and Titanium weather, as far as the font, I have noticed on the last font I was using that sometimes not all the fonts will display, usually an uninstall and reinstall will fix it. Glad you like it though, if you don't mind a hard reset, and have everything backed up I'd be curious to see if it installs correctly.

This is XdaSubzer0 Splash Screen Shop for you guys/gals. I've looked all over Xda's thread to find splash screens but never could find one that I really like, plus I love to change my theme alot so a custom screen to go with would be nice. So I've decided to make my own and share with you guys/gals. I own a TOUCH PRO 2 so I make WVGA Splash screens. But I'm wont neglect you all who doesnt have a WVGA screen if you like I can Convert any screen to you size, please PM your size and also you will have to provide your own custom RUU which I'm sure you have one from flashing roms. Also here's the GOOD PART my big give back to the community of Xda users. I will take request and design a custom splash for you just PM me the details or send me the image [email protected]. I understand how hard it is to to find a good splash to those that care. Please feel free to post your splash screens here as well to share with the community. The is the One Stop Splash Screen Shop. FYI: The Splash Screen is the very first screen you see when you power on your device.
Also the Custom RUU is for Rhoduim (Touch Pro 2) in the rar/zip file so you will have to use the one that you use to flash your phone with for other WVGA devices: Again I have no problem converting to your screen resolution. Enjoy.
Instrustions:
1. Unzip the file
2. Connect phone Usb or Active Sync (Device Center for Vista & Windows 7 users)
3. Place Phone in Bootloader mode (Thats the Red, Blue and White screen if you don't know)
4. Connect phone to computer (Plug usb in phone)
5. Open Splash Update and Follows Directions as if you were flashing a new Rom.
6. Enjoy your new Splash Screen (From yours Truly XdaSubZer0)

Thanks bro, I'm a huge NFL(EAGLES) football fan and appreciate the work! Don't think you've noticed but you spelled Eagles and Bengals wrong in the zips you attached above. Is it me or do a few of them (logos) appear to be squished?

Thanks Ill fix right away as far as the logos they dont appear that way after I test flashed on my device if it does on yours I can fix it for you with no problem, just let me know.

could these be installed from a sd card? if so how? also anyway you could make up a steelers splash screen if you have time? thank you.

You can Ive never tried it I always do it from the PC. But here the instructions how....
1: Copy RHODIMG.nbh from the SplashSDUpdate folder to the root directory on your Storage Card
2: Take your phone to the bootloader (hold down the Vol Down key when reset or power on until you see the tri-color screen).
3: After the completed message appears -> soft reset your phone.

You can Ive never tried it I always do it from the PC. But here the instructions how....
Well i try to do it by wmdc but i run the update and ask to run as administrator and i push yes but then nothing happens does this even when i try to do custom roms (gotta always do it from my sd card). I am running windows 7 and since i switched to it i've had this issue

Between Windows 7 and Vista people run into these problems I always keep a computer running XP.But It works on my Windows 7 just fine, Try only having one user as admin and see what happens. If it dont work Ill dig deeper into the problem I know how Windows7/Vista can be a pain.
Also: Ive tested flashing splash from SD it was a success.

Yes it did work from the sd card, just a pain to do all the time... I only have one user on my cpu. Thank you for the steelers splash screen looks great.

Your Welcome, here is a registry tweak to turn off the warning every time you run a program or exe file and etc. (Windows 7)
1. Open your Notepad.
2. Copy and Paste this code in the notepad:
I Used Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Download]

“RunInvalidSignatures”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

3. Save it on your desktop as allowall.reg.
4. Click it to merge its content your Windows registry content.
5. Restart the computer for the change to take effect.
