Helmi BA WM2k5 AKU3.2 Beta (v.1.3 Beta)
In this beta, hv all the feature from v1.2 plus new OS built (AKU3.2 OS part taken from Lt.Cmdr.Ivan AKU3.2 for UNI with help by indra9110) and speed improvement and also new ROM base (5.04.06 taken from logout template since its newer version display).
Known issues:
1. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA (I've succesfully combine them in the past but forgot now how to do it again...and i still cant remember it...hell!!!..lol). I think I'll love someone who help on this.
2. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.
3. Some help file and Some Picture/images has been strip out from the ROM to create space for more usefull app.
Tips:
1. Disable Sound (Sound & Notification >> Events) might help system speed.
2. Disable Sound in phone (Phone Settings >> Keypad >> Off) might help phone speed.
3. Backup/Sync ur PIM with active sync first (Contact, email, etc) if u upgrade it from old rom (anything below AKU3.0 ROM) cos PIM management are different from the old rom ur old backup will not work, but ActiveSync will work Ok.
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, but I'll love if someone do the wiki page for me. btw I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.

Btw The EXTROM folder is included all operator curently supported for GPRS/MMS Setting, remember to delete the .CAB in ExtROM that u dont need.

If ur operator not in the list just delete all file in OPERATOR folder, cos the MMS_ENABLE.CAB already build a standar MMS account that u cant change.

But please, gave credits to all hard worker guys here who fix the huge bug list If u use it and before u put ur name on it...specially if u're who want/usually completely copy paste the contain of the rom... btw post input or bugfix for os/rom bug is even more welcome, lets make it better guys...

Encounter "no service" on phone function, tried radio 1.13 & 1.15 , same issue.

there is no noise with Jabra 250 bluetooth headset

Phone's working here with new ROM. Getting great signal using Cingular.
Now, after a reset, I'm getting the operation failed. Played around some and it seems that if I reset out of the cradle, I get operation failed. If I reset in the cradle it connects up to the network fine.

I had the same problem with operation failed, then the phone wasn't in cradle, but after a reset in the cradle the phone works fine.

It's working good. It turns off the display, but device stays on. When U press power button, the whole device goes suspended state.
U're talking about screen rotare function, which is probably not included ATM
No service
Also, I've experienced some problems with phone support.
@ first turn on, after standard format + cleaning registry hive, There appeared a bubble, saying "Operation Failed" and there was no service.
After doing "hard reset" (I mean like old 2k3, pwr+rst, which resets date, unlike just rst= soft reset) Problem is gone, and service is on.

How can we replace 'Wireless Manager' with 'Comm Manager' on the Today Screen. Is it a reg setting?
i had this problem in some of my roms (internal) dont know why it happens, i usually just rebuilt the rom and there was no problem.

For anyone download before please re-upgrade ur ROM with the newest one, since the previous AKU.3.0 has a critical bug. (missing files)
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.
Btw The EXTROM folder is included Indonesian GPRS/MMS Setting, if u not Indonesian just delete it and change with ur county/region setting CAB, just follow the ilustrated method on the Cfg.txt/Autoconfig.txt file to make changes that suite ur need.

I've just installed the new rom and so far so good. Installation went smootly, active sync is working (and much faster then on aku2.3).
The first thing I notived was the option to SKIP the moving of the appointment during the start-up. This has been something that has annoyed me a lot. Finally the option to skip it .
The other thing I have noticed are the soft-buttons: They are not assinged (and default to "active sync").
Other then that, it looks good and I will start to install some software now.

hmm... try this 2 cab... install OpenCert.CAB first if it still cant, try the FinalCert.CAB then. If it still cant.. I'm confuse then.. or send ur cab to my mail at [email protected] let me try it.

Okay found a problem. Pocket Hack Master 3.33 won't install. Says "Critical Component Missing"
Never had this before. Tried reinstalling it several times, no go. What version of the .NET framework does this ROM run?

Everything works first time that I have tried, Pocket MSN, all the Apps, even WiFi in Comm Manager (Clicked on 'Settings' within Comm Manager, turned on WiFi... worked off the bat, and switches on/off no probs!)
Off to take a look at the A2DP... don't expect too much, no matter what I did with AKU2.3 it wouldn't start the service... but I'll give it a shot )
Off to rebuild the server under the stairs as an Exchange Box to make the most of the Push functionality !
Edit: EtenPack Call Filter doesn't play... 'Cannot open 'PfUi'...' not an issue, I can use an alternative!

Superb job helmi - really, just an excellent ROM.
I have two (minor) issues with the push email though;
Each time a new email arrives I get an alert (with sound) along with a preview of the message - in the AKU 2.3 ROM you did I would get a silent notification just saying 'xx messages unread'. I much preferred the older type of notification.
Spam is now appearing in the inbox - even though Outlook has filtered it into it's junk mail folder - again the AKU 2.3 ROM didn't do this.
Is this AKU3 standard functionality now or are these settings we have some sort of control over?

EDIT: The original O2SMSPLUS.CAB in extrom packet hv problem, Unable to send/recieve sms use the modify version here if u planning to use it. remove the old one, reset device and install the attachment bellow.
or delete the vcard.lnk in \windows\startup will also fix this problem.

yes it does, I've edit the post, I means the tray icon is blinkin/flick it also happens in My Aku2.3 right?,
In my device if i turn on Wifi, BT, IR, ActiveSync on the same time. the tray is blinkin a little.
btw, I hv 1 question, Is there any WModem that work on WM5? do you guys ever have a Wmodem that work with BA WM5? please let me know. and also any info about BT SIM ACCESS PROFILE (SAP) is more then welcome...
Another suggestion to make communication easier
So, in the quest to have things going smooth and to make our lives easier, I want to drop in another suggestion.
In Helmi 1.1 we had a few hotfixes in the form of cab files which added/fixed features on the rom
So, my suggestion is to adopt the standard usage of a few KEYWORDS, so that we can instantly identify the attachments in the forum thread
ADDON - cab adds a feature
HOTFIX - cab fixes (or attempts to fix) broken stuff
These identifications could come embedded on the cab name. Additionally, to avoid confusion on which CAB is the latest one, they should use VERSION NUMBERS too.
after the KEYWORD, then would come either the version number, starting at 1.0, or the keyword UNTESTED.
Examples:
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.UNTESTED.cab
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.1.0.cab
I believe this little detail could make testers' lifes easier...

I know this is probably in the wiki, but I didn't find it from a brief search.
I'm currently on Tuma 1.3. If I want to try this, do I need to downgrade to 2003SE first? If not, do I need to wipe the hive, etc?

You can upgrade to Helmi's ROM without downgrading.
But yes, you will need to clear the registry.
SpeedTweak CABs?

Autorom is wrong?
I've just downloaded the ROM and tried to install it on my BA, but the autorun on the extended rom didn't do anything.
So, I've copied to the autorun.exe from Helmi's rom and it's loading the extended files now.
Up and Running now
After the little autorun problem was fixed, my BA is up & running.
At first look, I would say that it is a little bit faster then Helmi's 1.2 ROM.
The system quickly responds to taps on the screen (menu, buttons etc).
Wireless & Bluetooth are working (Bluetooth via the Comm.Manager and TrayIcon, Wireless only via the TrayIcon).
I had no problems installing some other software (iSilo, BeeLineGPS, AvantGo, SPB Weather, PocketLAN, mNotes) and they seems to be running fine.
Maybe Logout can share with us what is specific about this release and if there are any known problems.
It is 5.04.06 not 5.0.06.
You can see the version 5.04.06 in boot image(The green image of push technology) or in Device Information.
Please correct the name.

btw, I believe u strip the os part from my rom, cos some part ar not from bepe version, I recommend u remove some drivers that didn't not needed, this is my mistakes, and this is why I release the hotfix logout. that drivers is only usable with iDO device, for our device its only taken resource and no noticable function...
I'm happy with the rom release, so we can have an options, and maybe we can hv a good comparating in the way to find the ROM that we can use in the end, that my goal not popularity...lol...

its seems this problem is ur main problem bro...what setting cab u use? if u use from wm2003 version, u just need to check the setting in Messaging >> MMS Configuration >>Servers>>Choosse ur operator >>and change the connect via dropdown list to ur operator MMS setting, reset maybe needed and then try to send again... btw also look at the preference tab there's a setting for Photo resolution.

@Helmi: Yes, I replace some your file, module, registry were missing in original AKU3.0 Rom.
I thinks you should build your rom on new core (nk.nba with AKU3.0 Xip file) and some registry add in boot.hv better than default.hv. Boot.rgu on BA WM2005 is not necessary.
@ekapco: I try to add speaker phone in my rom, but It doesn't work, can't turn off it. Pls delete speaker phone in startup folder.
Now I'm very busy in my office, may be I can't edit bugs in my rom in longer time. I believe Helmi will release best rom WM2005 for BA.

@ Logout : It turns off okay, but just the Icon remains !
Small bug -> Yesterday missed some calls. Red light was flashing. I read the notifications, but red light won't turn off, until soft reset !
Another small bug -> Softkeys are not working like they should.
For example in commanager there should be an exit/done key ??

The fastest rom I've ever tried.
I flashed it yesterday and found following issiues:
- Speed-Dial-Button in Phone missing
- The Networkcard-list is corrupt - blank lines between and configuration of them will mess up.
Also activesync-error 85002003, when trying passthrough Laptop to Internet and exchangeserver. This happens often like in Helmi's rom after wifi was used. Perhaps it's a timeout-prob or Issiues with the Comm-Mgr. Error never happens, when BA has been softresetted.

- Wifi & Bluetooth Coexistentcy.
- Ability to save everywhere with Pocket Excel
- Smart Dial v2.2 is added to ROM. (if u dont use it just disable it)
- Flight Mode, Task Manager, WM5 New Menu, WM5 Storage, & USB Mode Switch added to extras folder.
- StartUp Manager by Baniazek
- Use ace_ddi as video driver (Landscape & Portrait fully supported but gif file wont show in PIE, use D3D_Driver driver to support gif with PIE but Landscape mode will need to re-align after soft reset)
- .NET Fix included
- Transcriber included.
In this beta, hv all the feature from v1.2 plus new OS built (AKU3.2 OS part taken from Lt.Cmdr.Ivan AKU3.2 for UNI with help by indra9110) and speed improvement and also new ROM base (5.04.06 taken from logout template since its newer version display).
Known issues:
1. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA (I've succesfully combine them in the past but forgot now how to do it again...and i still cant remember it...hell!!!..lol). I think I'll love someone who help on this.
2. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.
3. Some help file and Some Picture/images has been strip out from the ROM to create space for more usefull app.
Tips:
1. Disable Sound (Sound & Notification >> Events) might help system speed.
2. Disable Sound in phone (Phone Settings >> Keypad >> Off) might help phone speed.
3. Backup/Sync ur PIM with active sync first (Contact, email, etc) if u upgrade it from old rom (anything below AKU3.0 ROM) cos PIM management are different from the old rom ur old backup will not work, but ActiveSync will work Ok.
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, but I'll love if someone do the wiki page for me. btw I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.

Note on MMS configuration, since it was from the wm2003 u should set the MMS. to go into MMS config and select ur operator MMS on the Connect Via selection. Messaging >> MMS Configuration >> Server >> Connect Via >> your operator MMS account
If ur operator not in the list just delete all file in OPERATOR folder, cos the MMS_ENABLE.CAB already build a standar changeable MMS account.

usually that got something to do with ati driver, u should use d3d_ddi driver moti. I've make Ace_ddi default video driver since it fully support Landscape & Portrait nicely and its faster, but some .NET might not function very well, especially Tweak2k app. currently I dont hv driver with the two driver functionality... arrgh...

as usual you are a wonder!!! I installed the ddi driver, registered tweaks2k2 and the reinstalled ace driver. Other than this small proplem, everything seems to be working well.

nice rom! have several questions, though...
1. do you recommend an overclocking application for this rom?
2. similar to the 1.3 version, while the BA is docked and charging, and an alarm/reminder or missed call comes, the charging is suspended until i touch the screen. the problem is that the battery drains out even if it is docked. any suggestions to remedy this?
3. the left portion of the display for call history does not show up (transparent)
4. i see some additional system settings, what do these do?

hallo there oddie, hmm... I think M$ VC will never work with AKU3.xx cos there's a difference with phone,PIM management method.
I've been thinkin to built a AKU2.3 since AKU3.0/3.2 hv some compabilty issue with some app, since most of the developer didn't realize/aware there's a AKU3 exist :lol: ...,
maybe I'll built a better AKU2.3 ROM if I hv time, since it support most of the app...hmm...

After soft-reset you have to change to german keyboard again everytime.
Screen Rotate-fix and serialusbfn.dll-fix is missing and has to be added by yourself via cab files.
Sorry i found no working Hima-version of large titelbar/start menu as it is working in my old German ROM by teijalk. If someone has got one Please send me a link I miss it.
I installed jbed and Opera Mini german and made it Default Browser and it works like hell -- super fast and stable.
Don´t know why but I can´t install a running version of Sprite backup, maybe my fault.
Still don´t know what "Verwaltete Programme" are.
The comm Manager/Verbindungsmanager in teijalk´s ROM is in German and looks nicer.
After Screen Rotade Fix you can´t align the touchscreen without deinstalling the fix, but no prob.
No way to get SDK working. Well I don´t it - so it´s nod bad.

HTCHome.v2_1_1005722_s0-alldevice_ger.cab is working fine, and
emunutz HTC Home customizer v1.o (HHCv10Final.CAB) does a great job.

Nope. It's supposed to recognize your SIM card and choose the correct network provider automatically, see other roms.

Rom Update not successfull ...
Hi ... I'm new in installing ROMs on the XDA (especially on my T-Mobile MDA-II), so please excuse my noobidity.
I've tried to install this new German-Rom and use the included HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to update the ROM of my MDA - but with no success. (Message after a while: "There has been a problem while updating your Pocket PC")
When I try to install the latest released T-Mobile MDA ROM, everything works fine.
I also tried to install the new nk.nbf with the HimaUpgradeUt.exe which is included in the working T-Mobile Package, but as expected I get a Country-Version Conflict Message.
Any Idea how I can install the new ROM on my MDA or what I have done wrong?

you were getting this error on WM6 because since WM2003 you cannot directly update the ROM, you have to Enter Bootloader...but its good that you helped your self

Red LED
Thanks for the ROM. It works perfect on my MDAII.
One Question: Is it possible to have the right LED red when a new phone call or message arrives?
