05. Camera v.2.21 (Built 19307) Record Video/Picture and Send to MMS ok (when sending picture the dialog might dont hv a caption on MMS)
06. PocketMSN, Hotmail Ok.
07. Wifi/BT/Ir ok.
08. No limitation on installin App (no problem when installin SPB Plus etc)
09. ActiveSync Ok.
10. Extra App Built in. (Data Backup, Flight Mode, Phm Registry, etc)
11. Speed tweakin enable, sorry for the Beta 1 release I dont include speed tweakin. this release is included now....
12. Mp4, Amr, Wav, wma, as ringtone is workin now.
13. New Shell Icon (Control Panel, Folder, etc).

Known issues:
01. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA.
02. Sometimes System complain about missing Pimg app (I've strip them out, cos its useless , fix is below PIMG)
03. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.
04. Some help file and Some Silly Picture/images has been strip out from the ROM to create space for more usefull app.
Tips:
01. Disable Sound (Sound & Notification >> Events) might help system speed.
02. Disable Sound in phone (Phone Settings >> Keypad >> Off) might help phone speed.
03. Backup ur PIM with active sync first (Contact, email, etc) before u upgrade to AKU3.0 if u upgrade it from old rom (anything below AKU3.0 ROM)
been use it for 4 days now... seems stable...btw its still beta, and might be not suitable for daily use, input is welcome...

For anyone download before please re-upgrade ur ROM with the newest one, since the previous AKU.3.0 has a critical bug. (missing files)
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.
Btw The EXTROM folder is included Indonesian GPRS/MMS Setting, if u not Indonesian just delete it and change with ur county/region setting CAB, just follow the ilustrated method on the Cfg.txt/Autoconfig.txt file to make changes that suite ur need.
With the Global Contacts Access plugin from Microsoft U can use the central/global exchangeserver address book. (Thanks to xdaradar for the info)

I've just installed the new rom and so far so good. Installation went smootly, active sync is working (and much faster then on aku2.3).
The first thing I notived was the option to SKIP the moving of the appointment during the start-up. This has been something that has annoyed me a lot. Finally the option to skip it .
The other thing I have noticed are the soft-buttons: They are not assinged (and default to "active sync").
Other then that, it looks good and I will start to install some software now.

hmm... try this 2 cab... install OpenCert.CAB first if it still cant, try the FinalCert.CAB then. If it still cant.. I'm confuse then.. or send ur cab to my mail at [email protected] let me try it.

Helmi you rock. This ROM is quick, and works flawlessly for my needs. AS is super fast and the new look of the icons is pretty neat.

Okay found a problem. Pocket Hack Master 3.33 won't install. Says "Critical Component Missing"
Never had this before. Tried reinstalling it several times, no go. What version of the .NET framework does this ROM run?

Not a lot to say really....
...except, absolutely stunning!
Everything works first time that I have tried, Pocket MSN, all the Apps, even WiFi in Comm Manager (Clicked on 'Settings' within Comm Manager, turned on WiFi... worked off the bat, and switches on/off no probs!)
Off to take a look at the A2DP... don't expect too much, no matter what I did with AKU2.3 it wouldn't start the service... but I'll give it a shot )
Off to rebuild the server under the stairs as an Exchange Box to make the most of the Push functionality !
Edit: EtenPack Call Filter doesn't play... 'Cannot open 'PfUi'...' not an issue, I can use an alternative!

Superb job helmi - really, just an excellent ROM.
I have two (minor) issues with the push email though;
Each time a new email arrives I get an alert (with sound) along with a preview of the message - in the AKU 2.3 ROM you did I would get a silent notification just saying 'xx messages unread'. I much preferred the older type of notification.
Spam is now appearing in the inbox - even though Outlook has filtered it into it's junk mail folder - again the AKU 2.3 ROM didn't do this.
Is this AKU3 standard functionality now or are these settings we have some sort of control over?

spkr4thdd, I would be interested in knowing how you got ur exchange server setup, something I have been thinking of doing myself. Any chance of a tutorial or walkthrough/tips? Probably best by PM. Thanks.

In this beta, hv all the feature from v1.2 plus new OS built (AKU3.2 OS part taken from Lt.Cmdr.Ivan AKU3.2 for UNI with help by indra9110) and speed improvement and also new ROM base (5.04.06 taken from logout template since its newer version display).
Known issues:
1. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA (I've succesfully combine them in the past but forgot now how to do it again...and i still cant remember it...hell!!!..lol). I think I'll love someone who help on this.
2. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.

Encounter "no service" on phone function, tried radio 1.13 & 1.15 , same issue.

it seems a very fast and complete rom.

i got "Operation Failed" as well
sometimes i have to wait for a very very long boot....
one more thing, i used logout .06 WWE, the lastest rom
there is no noise with Jabra 250 bluetooth headset
this is the FIRST rom thats no problem w/ my 250

Phone's working here with new ROM. Getting great signal using Cingular.
Now, after a reset, I'm getting the operation failed. Played around some and it seems that if I reset out of the cradle, I get operation failed. If I reset in the cradle it connects up to the network fine.

I had the same problem with operation failed, then the phone wasn't in cradle, but after a reset in the cradle the phone works fine.

It's working good. It turns off the display, but device stays on. When U press power button, the whole device goes suspended state.
U're talking about screen rotare function, which is probably not included ATM

No service
Also, I've experienced some problems with phone support.
@ first turn on, after standard format + cleaning registry hive, There appeared a bubble, saying "Operation Failed" and there was no service.
After doing "hard reset" (I mean like old 2k3, pwr+rst, which resets date, unlike just rst= soft reset) Problem is gone, and service is on.

How can we replace 'Wireless Manager' with 'Comm Manager' on the Today Screen. Is it a reg setting?

Note on MMS configuration, since it was from the wm2003 u should set the MMS. to go into MMS config and select ur operator MMS on the Connect Via selection. Messaging >> MMS Configuration >> Server >> Connect Via >> your operator MMS account

Tweaks2k2 problems ...again

Thanks again for a new, wonderful ROM. It mostly seems to be running smoothly.
1 problem that has returned. under 3.2 1.3, after I installed the .NET fix, tweaks2k2 was able to register. With the new 1.3.1, it bombs out when I go into the register page. I tried to install the .NET patch but it didn't help.
Any ideas?

Have just downloaded the new ROM, gonna flash soon. Will have feedbacks as soon as possible.

usually that got something to do with ati driver, u should use d3d_ddi driver moti. I've make Ace_ddi default video driver since it fully support Landscape & Portrait nicely and its faster, but some .NET might not function very well, especially Tweak2k app. currently I dont hv driver with the two driver functionality... arrgh...

usually that got something to do with ati driver, u should use d3d_ddi driver moti. I've make Ace_ddi default video driver since it fully support Landscape & Portrait nicely and its faster, but some .NET might not function very well, especially Tweak2k app. currently I dont hv driver with the two driver functionality... arrgh...

as usual you are a wonder!!! I installed the ddi driver, registered tweaks2k2 and the reinstalled ace driver. Other than this small proplem, everything seems to be working well.

Re-installing programs
Hello.
Which backup programme would ppl recommend to reinstall all settings and programs from the previous roms ?
At the moment i'm using Helmi BA WM2k5 AKU3.2 Beta v.1.3.0, but itching to upgrade, yet not looking forward to re-installing 30 programs.

So, is Microsoft Voice Command still not working in the newer betas?
I hope it's working, since its the only issue keeping me away.

In Vesion 1.3, I could used Bluetooth but this vesion 1.3.1 don't use bluetooth. Don't open and manager bluetooth = Don't use Bluetooth (before/after soft reset) Help me!

nice rom! have several questions, though...
1. do you recommend an overclocking application for this rom?
2. similar to the 1.3 version, while the BA is docked and charging, and an alarm/reminder or missed call comes, the charging is suspended until i touch the screen. the problem is that the battery drains out even if it is docked. any suggestions to remedy this?
3. the left portion of the display for call history does not show up (transparent)
4. i see some additional system settings, what do these do?
--- clear storage (nothing comes up when it is clicked)
--- startup
5. thanks for bringing back flight mode in the programs>extras. what are the following apps for?
--- wm5 storage
--- task manager
6. can the backup i made through spb backup be used to restore pim data?

hallo there oddie, hmm... I think M$ VC will never work with AKU3.xx cos there's a difference with phone,PIM management method.
I've been thinkin to built a AKU2.3 since AKU3.0/3.2 hv some compabilty issue with some app, since most of the developer didn't realize/aware there's a AKU3 exist :lol: ...,
maybe I'll built a better AKU2.3 ROM if I hv time, since it support most of the app...hmm...
What do you guys think?

just installed the new panel manager and media xperiance panel but i cant seem to get it to play any videos? even though there in the correct format and played on that panel on a different rom

Sigh, I thought I've finally found a ROM I like and where everything I need works.
And it turns out that the copy of Windows 6.5 used in this ROM expires at the end of 2010. Fail. I had to hardreset to be able to use my Xperia because when it automatically adjusted the date after connecting activesync, the screen was blocked by a message stating "this concludes the beta test of this release blah blah blah".

Already downloaded the file and flashed it to my fon. Flashing time is reduced from 30-40 minutes to just 13 minutes. Its fast and stable. Been using it now, i'll observe it and report any bugs i may encounter.

Hi mate
sorry but from what i read about this app you have to have wince_nls in the XIP and there's not enougth space in XIP, so It's a none starter
there's so little space left in the rom now with 6.5 that were gona need to find some other way to do things, we may make it to the end of 6.5 there's a small cab with my rom and that don't fit in the rom that's Y it's in the cab
but wm7 needs hardware we don't have in our devices

but I am having problem with external bluetooth GPS module. I turn ON bluetooth on the device and the module. Then pair it and select to use "Serial Port". But the device is listed as Disconnected and when I try to connect, it says: "Your device did not connect with GW-GPS-005. The connection failed or the passcode is incorrect."
Passcode is correct and in WM5, 6.1 and some beta 6.5 it worked just fine
edit: same problem when connecting to Nokia 6260. Will try flashing some WM6 ROM to be sure the BT on Himalaya is working(worked last week, but to be sure)
edit 2: so the BT is working, but every 6.5 ROM I tried can't connect to anything... can someone please test if their bluetooth is working? please please

And flashing with this rom did not made any changes to the installed programs in my previous rom specially contact numbers,titanium theme and other components except for time settings, ringtone and task bar icons which have to reset or reinstalled. Noted speed and stability is still present. Is this related to flashing rom without losing data thread in development and hacking section? just curious

Hi mate
Over the last 2 years or so I'v had with many rom this sort of probs with GPS devices in 6.1 and more so in 6.5 ROM's
1) work round is to pair some other device/s IE: PC, Headset, or some other phone ETC. then pair GPS, It will then have to use a different port/dma/irq etc..
Over on Blue Angel forum "GloomyBoy" did a tutorial on fixing some probs with 6.5 an GPS it's worth a look
I'v just paired my bt_gps ok, It's unbranded don't know it's make got it with hima 4 years ago
Please let me know how you get on and ill see if its something that can be builtin

most times if you had programs installed to ramdisk then there still there after a reflash but not every time if new rom ramdisk size not same as last then it will be lost for sure,
P.S. after you flashed the ROM in the upgrade folder there's a file RUULog.log can you past it's contents or zip it here so i can see, Y your flash time is so short as it's 40 mins with my dual core 2gHz laptop

sorry i tryed porting to another language once before and didn't manage it,
i'v seen a tutorial, I think in hima forum how to doit but, you'll have to search it out and try it,
Note when building for any other language than "WWE" there are more file and there larger too, Space is in short supply
not saying it can't be done but it will be hard good luck

I looked over at the Blue Angel forum and the tutorial is basicaly the same I did every time when pairing my Hima with the GPS on WM5, 6 or 6.1 but is not working on 6.5(for me) because the dang thing is somehow unable to connect.
So I tried to pair something else. Headset is working fine and other phones not.
But this is no issue with your ROM, my Hima can't connect to anything on any 6.5 ROM as I found out. The only option for me is to flash 6.1 ROM and live with it, because I use the phone only as a GPS navigation
Still, thanks for your time, your ROM is realy nice, fast and all
