tmobile new update makes the omap 195 .. versus thier old mgz of 180. where did they change this. can a hex editor change the value in the update itself from 195 to say 240? just curious this is a question to the chefs i am sure they are looking at what addresses changed already you guys rock!!! if already answered please send link .. thank you all for your ridgid support
it is still 180 on mine...
okay .. this is interesting .. so device information is not the speed of the CPU.. this is a deception than. well thanks for the heads up. .. do appologize for my stupidity. but can you confirm that in your device informaiton that it says 195 as this may be a glitch .. thank you
Mine says 192 when it's well over 240 MHz. Seems to me that it's just a number stuck in the rom someplace and doesn't really mean or reflect anything.

Woah! you really are running 312 MHz??? You may not be doing a whole lot more with your phone soon...
Sounds to me like you are hooked (see the bottom of my sig for a thread you may need to join ). Really depends on what you mean by what else you can do. You can always try other roms so you can see whats different about them. Then if you really get the bug, start learning how to cook.
But I'd seriously be careful with that massive overclocking you are doing... I've pushed mine to 273Mhz and it works, but I'm not comfortable (and don't see that much gain) so I back off to 260.
Good luck...

good work
is in the t bad to overcook?...or massively overcook?
When you overclock you run the risk of overheating nd putting strain on your processor by doing that. And because its an un natural load being put on it, it could be damaged permanently to such an extent it wont work anymore.

If your processor gave up then theres nothing more you can do to your phone..
Im not fimiliar with the windows mobile OS would I have to make any software changes for it to support 128 mb of ram so long as i can find one with the same layout just higher bytes per address, and if possible can someone give me the model number for the G4 ram already installed I dont want to void the garentee if I dont have to. The omap 850 supports 128mb ram by 256mb flash but yet again I am not familiar with the layout if some one can scan a board at hires that would be great or any other advice.

Hmm... I'm a bit confused by what you're actually wanting to know. Are you trying to find out if you can upgrade the RAM on the Wizard's actual board itself?
Sorry, yes I would like to upgrade the ram on the board itself and if anyone has had any luck or even tried to do it.

You know, I've not known of anyone to attempt that yet. Unless I'm mistaken, of course. I'm not even sure that it would be possible or where one would even get the correct chip. You never know though.
But, be patient. Someone may come across this with some answers for you.

Great idea and good luck, you just might put HTC out of business on this one. Wizard forever.....

Actually I was thinking about attempting this myself. However it will take some time for me to plan this out. I am currently studying to get a degree in AASCET and one of my projects is to learn mobile repair. I don't believe this will happen until Quarter 3 though since I'm in quarter 1 it will be about 6 months before i'll even attempt this. However my guess is it should be able to work providing you can find compatible memory.
I Have T-wings
Can Some One Tell What Is Overclock And How Can I T-wing Over Clock
Overclocking is overclocking the CPU, making your device faster (but let's it use more battery power) you can do this with XCPU Scalar, but i suggest you use BatteryStatus:
http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_XDA_Neo_WM5_iM_cs.htm#Download
Have a look at this thread.
It should answer your question.
If I Overclock T_wing I Lost My T_mobile Warranty ?
If I Overclock My T_wings So I Lost My T Mobile Warranty ?
Yeah - if they get to know that you overclocked it
So just flush the device before sending it in to helpcenter.
273 Mhz should work fine with BatteryStatus.
FLUSH
How would you flush out the wing before sending it?
I'm trying to decide on buying the wing but im hearing
so much bad stuff about how slow and low mem.
I don't know if it is worth it or i should just go with
the for sure good BB Pearl.
What do you all think?
Aaron
Im not happy with it as of yet. I already have it but if you wait for a decent Cooked Rom with the new RUU I am sure it will be fine.

I actually went from the MDA, to the Pearl, and now the Wing. All 3 were really great phones, but the Pearl seemed limited when compared to the other two. . . just the nature of a Windows OS. The Pearl was still a great phone though, regardless.
Wow, I went MDA > Pearl > Wing also..
Im in for more news on how to flush before sending to tmobile..
On clearing the Wing -
Settings -
System -
Clear Storage
It will ask you to type "1234" then click yes. Then it will power down, and reset the device back to factory settings.
(And I'm not interested in overclocking, just downclock.)
No it doesn't...there is no over/underclock that works for the TP/Fuze processors.
Ok, thanks motionmind.
Overclock possible...
Hi,
I use Omapscaler.exe to overclock to 300.. default was 200.
I see no problem right now.. and I think it does help a little.
Not sure what it does to the battery and I haven't don't any testing.
But, it's not doing anything bad to the my htc fuze.
I've been doing this for RRE Rom for several days now.
Let me know if anyone has any other points on this.
Thanks.

Is the default 200? Maybe you underclocked it... I thought it was like 528 or something...who knows....
Maybe he has a different phone? To my knowledge, no Qualcomm chipsets can be over or underclocked.
Hi everyone!
I have a t-mobile wing and overclocked it to 247mhz with battery status. I have read in some posts that some people have it overclocked up to 274 or beyond, but everytime I try to overclock beyond 247 it just freezzes. Any trick on how to raise the speed?
r u using a stock t-mobile rom?

na man just go look up some roms on this site n ull find alot of good rom n tmobile rom sucks n roms on this site is like 50 times better than those
Overclocking past 247
Same problem here; sometimes 247 gets the problem; but ..
Basically when it bursts up past that; the display gets verticle lines and ends up all messed up; it will straighten itself out when the burst kicks it back down a nothc; if i set it to a higher rate (not a burst) then I can still change it back (granted i can't see the screen i can only hit the right keys) so the phones not freezing the display is just not handling the cpu spike;
I've tried it on many many different roms; I don't think that's the problem..
Not all CPU's can handle the extra speed. Just like desktop CPU's.
