What do you mean? It's perfectly normal that you loose SMS-messages when upgrading the ROM. Updating the ROM is like erasing the harddisk of a computer and re-installing the OS: you'll loose anything that's on the disk.
If you mean that you lost the ability to send SMS-messages: within the settings of the "phone"application (enter the phone application and select menu/options/Services), there's a way to enter the telephone-number of the SMS-central for your provider. When entered, you'll be able to send messages again.

Marc - I meant the SMS option is no longer there. I am using Cingular. I guess that I need to "configure" for SMS specificially? If so, what exactly do I need to do? Thanks.
That's what happens when you don't use a cingular rom

It's reallly annoying and probably the reason why my tilt never checks email automatically since its got to bypass that OK or Cancel question.
How do i get rid of "you are currently roaming synchronizing may result in additional charges" bubble?
anyone please?
Go to: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\
And add this there:
ShowRoamWarning
Value: DWORD:0
Edit/Delete Message
From the Start Menu..
Click on Programs...ActiveSync...Menu...Schedule...
Besure the "use above settings when roaming" box is checked. Choose "OK" and exit out.

As for your tilt not checking email; make sure, in each account you have, the setting that should enable send and recieve while roaming is checked and it should start working!

I just wanted to say that this worked for my e-mail send/receive. I still get pop-up warnings from other apps like SlingBox. Is there a central setting for roaming messages? Why does my phone think it is roaming anyway?

I tried locating this from a Word-editing program on the device itself, but couldn't locate the entry.
use a registry editor, phm registry editor, total commander etc

Exactly, I don't want to get rid of the message, I would like to be informed of this when I am ACTUALLY roaming, but why does it keep telling me this when I am NOT?
thank you
Is there a way to disable threaded SMS?
Or a program that let you manage your messages the old way?
I can't find this anywhere, hope you guys have a solution.
Why would you want to disable threaded sms? And no there is no way to do it.

I just don't like the way threaded SMS works.
I whan't to be able to manage a message at the time and possibly delete it without deleting the all conversation, just like other phones.
For the iPhone theres an application that does that, i think it's called "iRealSMS" but I'm not sure.
I was hoping in a similar program.
You can delete individual text in the thread just long press on the message you want to delete and select Delete. Right now though there is no app that does single SMS messages.

You're absolutely right. Also, in my experience, this particular problem is caused by the Threaded SMS mode, which by definition does not sort your messages by received date/time. If you switch back to normal (un-threaded) you will be able to see the culprit SMS, read it, or do whatsoever you want with it
Here is a quick solution:
1. CLOSE the outlook messaging app so you don't have to soft-reset after.
2. Navigate to the following Registry Key:
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM"
3. Change the dword value "SMSInboxThreadingDisabled" to 1
4. Open outlook and find the message. If SMS is still threaded you will need to soft-reset to achive the effect.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
I had the same problem, but I managed to fix it when i hard reset my phone, lol.

Oh, I don't know then.
I'm not sure if it will work (i'm not responsible if it does anything to your phone), but you could try finding a generic Arcsoft MMS cab and configuring your own settings for MTS.

Just to let you know, I found the same issue previously and MTS does not support MMS with the Diamond for whatever reason. I tried the Arcsoft CAB but I don't have the server settings for MTS.
You can email a picture to the "email number" of the person you want - ie, [email protected]text.mts.net I think works for MTS customers. Each carrier has a different ending to the email.

ok thanks. I will try that. Thanks.
I can't seem to send more than 100 sms. if i try to do that i will get the error "“A large number of messages are being sent" and i have to click okay or cancel. Any way to bypass this? i've googled so much but cant seem to come up with the solution.
The only solution i've found is the one saying that i have to open /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/
settings.db
and execute the following command: INSERT INTO gservices (name, value) VALUES
('sms_outgoing_check_max_count', 101);
But the problem is that the table gservices is not in that file.
Have i missed something?
I think I had this problem before. A reboot fixed it. Try that.

If they have been sent, they would be delivered. If not, you would have to retry sending them after a reboot.
