Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 (beta) - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 is the latest sync software release for Windows Mobile-powered devices. ActiveSync provides a great synchronization experience with Windows®-powered PCs and Microsoft Outlook right out of the box. ActiveSync acts as the gateway between your Windows-powered PC and Windows Mobile-powered device, enabling the transfer of Outlook information, Office documents, pictures, music, videos and applications to and from your device. In addition to synchronizing with a desktop PC, ActiveSync can synchronize directly with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 so that you can keep your e-mail, calendar data, tasks and contact information updated wirelessly when you’re away from your PC.*
Changes in ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2 help resolve issues related to setup, partnerships, and connectivity with the PC and Microsoft Exchange. In addition, it includes a troubleshooter utility that scans your computer and device to identify problems and offers information and corrective actions to solve them.
ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2 supports PC sync via USB cable, Bluetooth, or infrared connection.

Yeah I'm trying it on my laptop at the moment. No functional difference as far as I can see - it's just a bit prettier.

pushmail exchange server work

Can I use pushmail with the exchange server from my work? How to configure my Qtek9100 with 2.8 WWE ROM?
https://webmail.mywork.com/exchange is for example the webmail I logon to.
Here you can find a usefull document about pushmail http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=36200
Here you have a step by step how to:
http://www.htcclub.net/en/toontips.php?ID=10
Depends how your administrator has published OWA.
Although it uses the same protocol as OWA, ActiveSync connects to a separate virtual folder on the Exchange server, so if it's published using ISA Server, for instance, it has to publish the \Exchange-Active-Sync folder as well as the \Exchange, \Public etc.

tuma 1.3 and activesync

I have just upgrade to WM5 TuMa 1.3, all works fine but ActiveSync!
ActiveSync doesn't syncronize my ppc!
I put PDA in the cradle but ActiveSync doesn't active the connection. Also, after a few minutes the pda says "Unable to obtain a server-assigned Ip Address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings"
what can I do?
:twisted:
Do you have a software firewall and are you using Activesync 4? AS4 is required by WM5 and the PDA is assigned an ip address before it can sync.

I use zonealarm with these applications trusted for LAN and Interner:
ActiveSync Application (WCESMgr.exe)
ActiveSync Connection Manager (wcescomm.exe)
ActiveSync RAPI manager (rapimgr.exe)
I also try to shutdown the firewall but nothing change!

I have the Windows Service "DHCP Client" disable!
Thank you for support!
No problem, glad its now working.

BB connect on ATT Tilt - problem with email account

When I send the 'service books' from my account on the BIS site, I get the following error message on my phone:
Service Book Management
Device message store limit reached. You must delete a message store to use service "DeVry".
'DeVry' is one of the 2 external email accounts I have created on my account on my provider BIS site. The other being a 'Gmail' account.
My ATT Tilt phone details:
ROM version: 1.62.502.0
ROM date: 01/17/08
Radio version: 1.27.14.09
Protocol version: 22.45.88.07H
In BB Connect ( About screen)
Blackberry Version: 4.0.0.97
Transport Version 4.0.0.95
Blackberry Enterprise Server Version:
System Version: 252.221.245.236
Device Type: HTC-Kaiser
I do not use BES, only my provider Fido's BB connect service which uses BIS.
I recently installed the ATT ROM (minus customizations, by reseting after Windows screen when indicates customizations will start in 3 secs). Switched today to the BB connect feature on my provider FIDO in Canada (since using activesync with an Exchange server really eats into my monthly data allotment of only 12MB even with no received emails).
On the 'BIS' site, although I have created 2 external email accounts : 'Gmail' and 'DeVry' , I have the following folders in addition to the regular 'Messages' and 'Outlook E-Mail' in my Messenging Application:
- Gmail
- System
- System
- System1
- System2
- System3
Question: If message store refers to "system1", "system2" etc anyone know how to delete these?
The Service List in the Blackberry Application on my phone shows. (a '*' is actually displayed as a check sign on my phone)
* Blackberry Internet Browsing Service[BrowserConfig]
* Browser Config for 5 Click [BrowserConfgi]
! DeVry [CMIME]
* Gmail [CMIME]
* IPPP for 5 Click [IPPP]
* IPPP for BIBS [IPPP]
* Provisioning [PROVISIONING]

RDP setup on phone

Greetings. I've searched and find only assistance regarding setting up remote desktop on the PC. When I run RDP on the Kaiser I get the "cannot connect with current settings" error. I have network management for programs that connect to the internet set to use Media Net, and programs that connect to a private network to also use Media Net. I'm using a 6.5 cooked rom (PDA Corner) and the 6.5 RDP client software. The 6.0 RDP only hung at "connecting". I'm probably missing a check box somewhere. Thanks for any help.

[Q] ActiveSync Exchange Server Address does not accept forward slashes

I have been experiencing an issue with configuring Exchange ActiveSync setup. Our company have recently opened up ActiveSync as part of moving to Office365. To add to the mix, they have implemented an intermediate encryption gateway from Ciphercloud which means for the ActiveSync server address we now have to enter a non standard server address such as "host.domain.com/com/outlook/m/ccuri".
If I enter "host.domain.com" the "Next" button remains active. As soon as I enter a forward slash into the equation, the "Next" button greys out.
I have confirmed this format of server address is possible on other android devices such as Kindle Fire HD running 4.1.1. stock rom. I have tried several custom roms in the Jellybean territory and no rom I install seems to active the facility to accept a URL type server address
Totally lost and I don't understand. This definitely appears to be a ActiveSync protocol version issue but no amount of googling appears to yield anyone out there experiencing the same issue.
Does anyone know if you can specifically upgrade the Exchange ActiveSync version through flashing the apps? I am almost certain the issue lies with this...
Currently running: 4.1.2 Baseband ver: N7000XXLS3 Kernel 3.0.31-422420 Build number: JZO54K.N7000XXLS7
