Hallo I have a small question. Is it possible to remove touch recognizer (screen) from display?... I have one Vario which has broken display, but touch recognizer (screen) is good and second Vario, which has good display, but broken but broken touch recognizer (screen). My dream is to put them together and make one Vario, which is OK... Is it possible?? THX V3S... And sorry for my bad english...
yes..
It is possible however the touchscreen is attached to the LCD with a very sticky doublesided tape. I've never personally tried to seperate the two but a tech from ppctechs told me that it is difficult considering the touchscreen is very fragile. It might be worth a try and, if you do break it, you can always buy a new touch pad for like $30 off ebay.

You can do. The most difficult step is take the touch screen out of the display. You can use a hot flow air to blow above, around the tuchscreen and carefully split it with a thin razor.

i've broken my kaiser screen and would like to use the software "my mobiler"
Hello ! My kaiser's screen is broken (touch screen out of order and i cant see anything on my screen) and i woud like to use this software on my phone: http://mymobiler.com/
Moreover i had a password on my phone and i donnot know if i can unlock my phone without using my touch screen. I would like to know if it's possible to install this software whithout using kaiser's touch screen and if it is, how i can do it because im lost...
Thanks a lot Bye.
Try and install Soti Pocket Controller over active sync. Press the left soft key at some stage to proceed with the cab install once it is transferred to the phone.
Or better still... buy a new phone or a new screen here

Nothing more to say really, thats about summed up this thread
Ive replaced a screen on a Kaiser already... Very easy to do.. (I should have taken pictures of the disassembly)...
Anyway, all you need to do is
1) flip the screen up
2) You will see 4 screws holding the screen assembly together. Remove these
3) Next, GENTLY prise of the front cover from the back cover.
(You will not be able to completely remove the front cover, as the board connector cannot be unplugged from the main board...
4) Once you have the screen front and back covers seperated, disconnect the LCD Connector from the Board.
5) Carefully push on the LCD screen to seperate it from the front cover.
6) Once the screen is seperated from the front cover, simply slide the damaged screen out between the SIM card, and main board wiring..
7) Replace the LCD panel, and reverse the proceedure...
Should take you about 30minutes to complete....
I bought the screen for $70au including postage... MUCH cheaper than buying a new Kaiser at over $1000Au a pop...
Lemme know if you need more detailed instructions.
Thanks for your answers!
Does this fix both touch screen and lcd or only lcd ?
Touch screen is cooked in the lcd. So if one of the two is broken, you have te replace the whole piece.
I bought a Diamond yesterday and I'm already in love with the device
It's just one thing that bothers me, I also have a P990 and it's touch screen is very sensitive, I only have to touch it very very gently with the stylus and it responds.
My HTC Diamond is the complete opposite... I need to press way harder on the screen than I needed on the P990, not only with my fingers but also with the stylus. I wonder if this is normal, I'm just worried I'll damage it in the long run.
Is the Diamond's display durable???
I got to say, I didnt notice the difference when moving over from a tytn to a diamond, generally, if you feel that the force you are having to use is excesive, I would speak to your supplier about your concern.
Cheers
Steve
Hi
I have found a place to buy the touch screen separate. So I can change it. But I don`t know how. Is the a simple way to do this, or do you have to take the hole phone apart? Like the wizard here http://mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/HTC Diamond Service Manual.pdf tells me to do.
Or is it me that don`t understand?
Please help me.
Sorry for bad English
Best regards

I notice this was not answered - perhaps because the answer is yes you must follow the service manual dismantling steps! There are no short cuts or quick ways to replace the screen.
Disassembly will void any warranty you may have. If in doubt send it for repair.

Hi be very carefull with the screen , i just changed my lcd at a HTC service center, the screen is composed of 3 parts the digitizer (touch screen), lcd display, and the front cover ( the metal that you see around the screen), all this parts are changed in one piece, you cannot change only the touch screen or the lcd because, it can be done without damaging the lcd. Dont buy from ebay only the touch screen because you wil and up breaking your phone.
Ps the screen ( front cover, touch screen, lcd display) cost me 110 euro.
Here are some pictures of my old screen.
Ok so corner of my bottom cap started to peel of.. its small thing but it makes me mad so Ive ordered navi cap from the internet.. disambled diamond and removed complete bottom keypad but I cant figure out how to that replace cap. I found HTC Touch Pro manual where they say something about putting it to oven for 5min.. Guess its glued but my question is how I could put new bottom keypad cap back ? Glue I guess but how exactly anyone have done that ?
