Hi, does anyone know how to configure the 3D menus on Dopod 595? I find that it doesn't update any new software that I have installed and I am trying to rearrange my start button so that it is more organised rather than just lump everything in the main menu.

Up till last week I had a T-Mobile MDA Compact and I'd got Tomtom (bakonl) running. Now I have a Wizard (T-Mobile from The Netherlands) and I can't install the Tomtom. Appears that WM2005 not compatible with Tomtom Version 5. Anyone got a plan to get arround this? :?:
To install TTN5 on WM5 you have to copy the cab files directly to pda and launch it with the pocket explorer (or resco explorer).

Thanks for the responses guys. I've given it a go and moved the cab files from the CD to my SD card and installed the GPS cab first. Then soft booted the Vario and then attempted to install the TTN cab.

you need te get the tomtom 5.1 files then it works fine. I've got it working on my bleu angel with WM5, and today i installed in on my brother's vario and it worked just fine.

You need the zip file not the exe. AS4 messes up the installation.

can anybody support me in trying to setup a navigation functionality on my HTC wizard, that runs WindowsMobile 6.1 (those TNT edition)?
Unfortunately i can't find up to date information about which GPS-hardware to use. Is BlooTooth the only reasonable solution for the wizard?
I also plan to feed the tachymeter signal from my bicycle somehow. Has anybody read of approaches to this and can cite or link?
Third thing I'm in search of is an alternative camera software. The "Camera for Pocket PC Version 3.00" does not support geoTagging and not even writing in the Tags for Titling, commenting etc.

Does anyone know if the Orange M700 Today plugin is available as a CAB anywhere or something similar? After upgrding to WM6 my other half is fit to kill me as she really liked it. I tried tempting her with SPB Shell but got one of those icy stares

The UK M700 ext rom is pretty useless actually. it only contains 4 cabs
MP_MMS3.5_OrangeUK_Trinity_060811.CAB - setup MMS settings ONLY (doesnt include gprs and wap stuff)
MP_CVSDcpl_20060920.cab - adds the Voice Speed Dial control panel (standard in HTCs rom)
PP_Fix_ShowTodayTheme.cab - Changes the background
PT_WA_Abaxia.CAB - Turns on the Orange Plugin
Everything else is including in the rom itself, the orange sounds, today plugin, colour scheme, icons, programs etc so installing the ext rom wont get these back.

I know someone is trying to dump the Orange ROM but haven't seen one posted yet. Perhaps I should be thinking of an alternative? Any ideas?
You might care to try this,it's from the Hermes but works quite well on the Trinity.
I just extract it from my device, but might be localized in French...

I've got the files somewhere! They reside in the Application Data folder and are part of the main ROM installation, not extended ROM.
I'll try and find where I put them and repost

Note : as I said earlier this is from a FRE ROM...
As promised, here is an English version.
The DIL_APP folder must go under Application Data, so copy it there first, then copy the orange.reg file to the device, and tap on it in File Explorer to install it.
The Orange.tsk file goes in My Device/Windows and is the main Today Theme file selectable from Settings/Today.
The orange.bmp file can only be installed as part of a ROM manipulation, but is here for completeness!

When I copy the orange.reg file and click on it, i get told that i should open the application associated with it and run it from there.
Could anyone help please?

I downloaded and installed TylerC161 compiliation of Touch-it 2.3 (clean, see this thread) with TouchFLo, but after installing successfully, I still can't get the cube to appear. I had the version 2 before and I simply assigned TouchFlo to one of the buttons. The TouchFlo application or shortcut was installed in Programs/TouchFlo folder. After installing this version, I don't see the TouchFlo in that folder (only TF Setting and TouchSetting), nor do i see it anywhere in the Button Settings. Am I missing something? I only found a shortcut file in the Windows directory. But copy/paste that didn't solve. My question is can someone with working Version 2.3 upload TouchFlo.exe file from Windows directory for me so I can copy it where it is supposed to go? Or do I need to reflash and re-install? Thanks!

you must select your method of cube activation in TFsettings i believe. Its one of those choices.

I did that, and it still didn't create TouchFLO icon or gave me an option in the Buttons! Very strange!

Once you select an option in TFsetting, you need to reset the device.
There will not be any buttons to start touchflo, just the option that you selected, meaning either sliding your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom or center to bottom, and etc.

EDIT this does not work for Vodafone branded phones it seems
First of all you need to download PHM RegeDit Here And also download a HTC splash screen Here.
Now put the Newwall.gif into your phones windows folder (via activesync)
Now install PHM RegeDit and open
then Goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > HTC > HTCAnimation > and edit the Startupgif to \Windows\newwall.gif and save and reboot the phone (softreset)
then it should change to the newwall.gif and everything should be fine
Hope it solves your problem, feel free to ask if you cant figure it out

A work around for the non responsive 750 touch screen
After taking my 750 appart several times I came accross a great little program that will let you install an application on your 750 from your pc while in guest mode in active sync. The program is "EveryWAN Remote Support Personal Edition" its a free download and works great. You will see your 750 on the screen of your pc and you can do wlmost everything. But you still won't be able to align the screen. but you can select running tasks on your 750 and stop the welcome application. this gets you past the only screen preventing you from using the 750 as a non touch screen phone. So far there are only two things I can't do without the stylis 1: set the alarm, 2: while running tcpmp I can't open a file not associated with the player.

extract it c:\treotemp\ then simly delete RUU_signed.nbh and copy your CHEEIMG.nbh and rename it to RUU_signed.nbh. Now just start ROMUpdateUtility.exe and do the job ;-) ...no matter what picture says it's wm 6.5....it's rom that you copied ;-) enjoy....
