Commmgr Not showing text (LAN,Bluetooth options)

Re-installed Kaiser.CommManager.10Button.3GOnly.Switch.For.Other.Devices-Schen
and now there is no text under the icons, and no menu options. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance.

I had the same issue and first of all think this is a language compatibility problem (...what is your??)!however, did you installed any other CommManager too??
Try to uninstall it (also others if you did!), soft-reset, install only this one again (but be sure the CommManager.exe app is really closed!!)!!If doens't work:
1)go in the registry and check these keys (default value): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager]
->"EmptyMenuBar -> 0"
->"TextColor -> 0"
2)go in the \Windows folder and look for the "CommManager.exe.0409.mui" file (...i'm assuming you haven't an english device/os), cut it and paste wherever you want.Soft-reset and look what happen!If still nothing change the language code (..0409.. -> it is for english, more here) in that file to your default one and overwrite the file in \Windows folder!!Maybe now you get the text, but in english! ...better than nothing!
I have this issue with the 6 button on/off CommManager (i can use it only in English), but using this, like the HTC one (more Beam and 3G buttons, but with 9 (default) and not 10 buttons) i have no language problem, try this one you too!!!

problem came back...this only happens after i reflash my device, i'm using WWE ATT rom now as compared to dutty's 6.1 wwe, and now my 10 button comm manager is doing the same thing. Heres a screen of what it's showing. (chat and icontact should only be viewable from today screen.)

...So, if you are using a WWE (english) Rom, your isn't a language problem!!
If you necessarily want this CommManager try to ask in the thread where got it (...I didn't well understand if this is the default one coming in that rom!), or try this other one (also 10 buttons, but different -> look the picture!, and try to install over it, if that is the default)!
...is that the default?? (add more info!)
If yes, first of all ask for help in the rom thread (maybe it's a rom bug, and other people have the same problem)!
If no, try what i said above!

Found Problem!
This only happened when I created a shortcut to commanager from windows folder and placed into startmenu/programs, after deleting shortcut all is well. I was trying to re-map the PTT button to work w/ commanager, the only way to I saw to do this was to copy original commanager to the folder that contained a list for re-mapping options (settings/buttons/program buttons) so I guess i'm **** out of luck on a remap to commanager, if you know anything let me know, thanks for your help.

slither's cubes

on my tytn II I have xda cube and it works fine. I cannot get any version of slithers cube to work. I have tried everything, spent hours, and am sure I followed the instructions from slither exactly

Why not ask this question in the thread it pertains to?

Ive posted 3 now 4 replies and no answers. I really would like to get the slither uno cube to work. any ideas?

TRY THIS !!!!!
AHHHHHHH! make sure you completely uninstalled any cube version you have installed before.
ANOTHER THING SOFT RESETS ARE VERY IMPORTANT.
Try this.
1. Soft Reset your device (VERY IMPORTANT)
ahhhhh! make sure nobody calls you at the time of installation. (go to comm man and DISABLE the PHONE)
2. Unzip the contents of the zip file.
3. Copy the folder "SCLPC++ to '/Application Data/' NO WHERE ELSE!!!
3. Install FTouchFlo or FTouchSL.
4. Configure FTouchFlo or FTouchSL to open the file 'SCLPC++.exe' for the
Down-Up Guesture.
((((( Now to configure FTouchFlo ****I really don't Know if you need it for FTouchSL****you HAVE to INSTALL the Configuration Tool (FTouchFloConfig_v0.9))))))))))))
5. In this example the path is '/Application Data/SCLPC++/SCLPC++.exe'
6. After You Install the Configuration Tool do a SOFT RESET AGAIN
8. Swipe your finger from the bottom to the top of screen to start cube.
9. IFFFFF YOU HAVE NO RESPONSE DO ANOTHER SOFT RESET.
**** Note: I have read and found that most of the times people are in such a hurry that they forget to do A SOFT RESET (JUST FOR SAFETY) and end up with things not working or worst HARD RESETTING. *****
SO FOLLOW THE SOFT RESET STEPS I INCLUDED HERE JUST FOR SAFETTY

I did what you said ,not sure if i configured ftouchflo right.In gestures In run aplication box I put the path you stated. nothing happens after soft reset. i noticed that the cube is not in the remove programs box so it's not on the device?

What device you have?
OK. let me check what I wrote to you.
I aknowledge that I'M HAVING probms with FTouchFlo launching horizontal, don't have time to play BUT MANAGED TO RUN the Cube.

As you can see didn't change that much but reda this again........
Colored Numbers show the change in orther.

I was able to download the final ver51 and it works without ftouchflo con but there are no paths to a lot of the icons. i really want to download the uno version

Ok! now that you have the LATEST VERSION. Follow the the instructions to install it.
Then go to the following link where MaxMotus created a theme for the CUBE, I didn't installit yet but I'm in that process, I've installed first his Other themes for other Aplications. So far his Set ups are the best NON SLOW ones.
Also make sure to see his other posts.
Stay tune to this thread you've created, and I will walk you thru everything, as I already did it, I've been there.
For now I have to go.

Basically you just need to drop the file into a directory specified in the install instructions.

ok, so its fun to poke around with all the applications and see what they do, well i lost my favorite thing. can someone please help me find my quick menu again. somehow i tuned it off, and i can't stand the standard "start menu".
im using Open Touch v3.0 Biggy - WM 6.1

Are you saying that you got the "stock rom start menu" or just lost the option called "QuickMenu" in which you will find options like Screen, SIP, bluetooth, etc in ttrans custom rom? I had the same problem but after few days and soft resets it appeared on its own. anyway make sure that "QuickMenu.lnk" which is a shortcut file which brings the custom start menu is available in the folder "\Windows\StartUp\" and if not copy from "\Windows" and paste in start up folder. Use total commander or some other file explorer to do the same. let me know the result

You know what, now I lost the start menu lol... even though the lnk file is available in "\windows\startup" folder its not coming back and I got the stock rom start menu. lets see what happens after few days...

I had the same problem except the link for the quickmenu is in the start up folder already. It occured after doing the initial settings changes the second time I flashed it with Open Touch v4.0. The first time it worked for a little bit but I guess I changed some setting that doesn't allow it to start up. I can click the link or program and it will load once but it defaults to the Orig. start menu after that... Am I the first with this specific issue?

No, you are not the only one having this issue. As I stated above, I still have the problem and the quick menu doesnt comes even after many soft resets. I even tried to move the .lnk file from startup folder and reset and then moved it back and reset, but no way... it just doesnt work...

A big problem

I do not know how but my WM is partly disappeared. File explorer especially, and I do not know how to attach to Vista to flash a new rom. If i go to messaging and new message and insert picture there's not setting folder really disappeared even snapvue. When i clik start no program no settins only today. What can I do. I have the rom of thaihugo indeed had. Any idea?

Just reset it using advanced parameters when you press the to right button. Otherwise, shut down vista, and remove the battery, then replug it.
You can flash a new rom anytime, even if did not connect activesync. The "age of beauty rom" is using a lot of memory. Try not to use other programs with it, or disable the pointui today plugin before. You might prefer the "age of reason rom" for your use.

I think I have deleted several rom's files with clear temp program.

just remove your battery, this will do.
Then just donwload this:

Anyone working on a CDMA Rom ?? None of the posted roms work on the CDMA shift.

I heard of it... does anyone has it?...

You don't need sktools. Soft-reset is already available in settings. You just need to make a short cut in the home screen. That's it.

What about just a long press of the end call button? powers down my Omnia II which is a soft reset.

@Stormglider - I looked through every option in the Settings (both MS and Samsung), searched the forum and Google, and could not find the Menu command to soft-reset the Omnia.
I have an i8000L from Bell Canada with the stock rom. What do you use, and what is the exact click sequence you do to execute the soft reset? (I prefer to not install unneeded software if I can avoid it).

bob, just press hold the end call button. phone will shut down which is the same as a soft reset. No need for a cab or proggie or shortcut. running a Bell Omnia as well.
