Access web site set up - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Can some 1 post the set up connection of Cingular US pls. I have qTEK 9100. i follow on the cingular web site for 8125 but it doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

40 peoples read the thread and no help Come on some 1 must have use cingular here .thx

The way I did it was by downloading the Cingular Ext. Rom from the ftp site and then installing the Cingular customizations. I didn't install all of them, just the ones with "Cing.customize" in the title and then the MMS and SMS ones and that set up the connection for me. If you don't know what to install out of the ext rom just install each cab and you should be good. But don't install the one labeled "GPRS_Stall" this one will make your data connection not function.

Help:I don't want to install the T-mobile extended rom. How?

Being in Portugal I don't need tmobile mms and gprs settings. In one wrod: I don't want T-Mobile ext.Rom. I have already installed the Qtek 1.6.7 Rom. The splash screen is T-Mobile (?) but OS rom is Qtek and extended rom is T-Mobile.
Do you know any way to simply don't let the MDA vario install the extended rom?
Thank you
yes i know one! just delete the Extended ROM files wich you dont need! first install the tools that make it visible and then read in other threads wich cab data is for what! you can stop configuring the default settings and installing the T-Mobile progs by softresetting after Hardreseting when appears a window "configuring Settings in 3 sec." or so!? just soft reset and then install the requiered .cab files of the Extended ROM you wish to have installed! But better read through the other threads if you need detailed informatoins how to do this!! (the thread is hmmm I think Extended ROM or so)

WIZARD Extended ROM Unlocker WORKING!!! thats the thread where is explained how do this...

(sorry for my bad English!!!!)
It depends on your ROM. Most of them except New T-mobile ROM can use extROM unlocker. For T-Mobile ROM you need to backup ext. ROM which you prefer first. After flash new ROM(T-Mobile) , you need to restore it. Please serch in this forum for wizard ROM backup/restore and unlock/lock Ext. ROm. Good luck

Cingular 8125 - ROM Upgrade Help

I want to upgrade to latest ROM and whatnot.... Im confused what file to download. Important everything works faster and better and bluetooth headset. Its running stock Cingular from day that I bought it... right when it became for sale.... please let me know what to download and install... latest most stable ROM and everything else thats required.....
Thanks!!!
in my opinion...
The best ROM that I've installed on my MDA is the Mr. Clean 2.24a Mr. Clean
2.24.10.1 WWE
02.25.11 Radio version
Great GSM reception and recovery, it loads super fast, the functions are also smooth and fast, WiFi is perfect...lightning fast!!!!
You can find it in the forum of XDA upgrades and more stuff.
Here's the link:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE.zip
It's seriously awesome.
Remember that you need to CID unlock your phone first, and then it will work like a charm.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!
How different from the cingular same version one?
TIA
here are the differences
It doesn't have any of the Cingular logos, settings or anything that is pre-programmed. You have to put in your own settins, and there aren't any annoying settins such as MediaNet which launches when you try to connect via WiFi to the internet, and you know they charge you money for any kb transferred.
It's easy to create your own GPRS connections without any settings already there, and you have a cleaner running OS in the device.
I simply love it and recommend it. 8)

I'm in the same boat as HDD, I have the following specs
8125
ipl : 1.08
spl : 1.08
gsm : 01.16.11
os : 1.8.11.1
currently sim unlocked by lokiwiz0.3 and I about to CID-unlock with lokiwiz 0.2b. The question i have now is if I put in Mr. Clean 2.24a will I be able to go back to a Cingular ROM? or If i put in say Cingular's latest rom, or Tmobile's 2.26 will I be able to go back factory state.
From my searches, anything >= 2.21 roms will not be able to CID unlocked, so still wondering if I should upgrade....
yes you can
You will be able to; as long as the CID is unlocked.

upgrading from o2 to voda

I recently purchased an 02 XDA IIS. Its unlocked so I can use my vodafone sim card. However, I cannot send or receive MMS, and obviously, I cannot access Vodafone Live. The friend who sold me the phone said I can just download the software for voda and reboot which would solve the prob. But after looking for the last 2 hours I cannot find anything. Any ideas?
i would be grateful if you could let me know...i need it too many thanks
email me if you find the solution
[email protected]
just try changing the settings for mms and gprs
http://www.mphone.co.uk/mms_wap_settings_vodafone.html
thanks for the help but it still wont connect to live or send/receive mms. im sure i do need the software from voda. But just dont know whereto find it.
im in a similiar situation as well.........
The device is set up in there sections, the radio rom, the ce rom and the ext rom. Carriier information or apps are found in the ext rom. The process is called cooking or backing.
If you would like you x branded phone to look and feel like a y branded phone then you need to exchange the content of the ext rom.
Some settings can be changed on the system , sms number, voice mail others are loaded through the ext rom (splash screens, e-mail setup programs for carrier y).
Best thing is wiki, read the info in the kitchen, understand the ext rom, cook it and most of all have fun.

missing rom's

I downgraded my phone to the Cingular 1.xx rom and unlocked it. I want to upgrade to the tmobile 2.26 rom like the tutorial suggests but the FTP site seems to be down. Afterwards I am wanting to install molski's (new) 30mb rom, which also seems to be unavailable for d/l.
Could someone please either upload or link me to somewhere to download both the Tmobile 2.26 rom and Molski's newest rom. If these are all I need; I noticed on Molski's site that it says you should install his extended rom first...so if i need this also then that would be greatly appreciated. I know you can d/l the newest tmobile rom from their website, but I need a valid tmobile phone number in order to do so.
(The xda-developers ftp site is not working for me, I tried Firefox, IE, and SmartFTP)
Thanks,
Lee
I don't have any problems downloading anything... The latest Molski rom is in the uploads/wizard/molski.biz folder...
You can also get the molski's rom from his website, molski.biz
I found the 2.26 tmobile rom on another website and upgraded to it, however I still can't get Molski's roms (or any other files on the xda-dev ftp) to work. The ftp doesn't even connect for me :-\ I looked on molski's website but even the links on there link back to the xda-dev ftp.
EDIT: Wow...i'm a complete idiot. sorry everyone...the reason i couldn't connect was because of a program called peerguardian. it has apparently been opening itself when windows starts without my knowledge. i closed it and now the ftp works fine. sorry again!

Go to Cingular's website and click on support select Cingular as the manufacturer, select 8125 as the phone and then follow the instructions for GPRS and MMS setup. Most custom roms don't have this information built into them and you have to re-enter or find the cab files to install. Though if you used an official Cingular ROM then you should already have these settings provided you let the carrier customization files run when it was first booted after the flash.
Search for the following two specifically:
P_Conn_CWS_APR12_Wizard.cab for GPRS
cingular_mms_964.cab for MMS
Both of these are included in posts and should be easy to find
Since you flashed WM6, you may also need ARCSoft too.
I keep this post bookmarked

thanks got it all working

I am sure there is/are cab file(s) around. I do know that if you go to the T-mobile site and follow there instructions there is a bad IP address in one of the steps.
it is something that contains a .050 as one of the octets. If you enter it as it is on their site it won't work. Change it to .50 and everything works fine.
checked the website
but in order to get to the download center i have to have a valid tmobile number.

Curious, why do you need T-Mobile GPRS settings if you don't have a T-Mobile account?
someone gave me wrong advice..
still trying to get my 8125
underground edition.
to use MMS..
any help would be appreciated.
If you are on Cingular, try the cabs mentioned above. Or just go to the Cingular support site and they show the settings for MMS.
