the up/down arrows are next and prev as in the original Diamond player... it's the volume buttons that are not present... but all htc phones I've tried have a hardware volume controller.

trouble with the skin
I was also having problems getting this skin to work on my mogul. When I copy all the files in the diamond folder, I just paste them into my windows folder? Do I have to copy over any existing files, and if I do, how can I tell which ones I'm supposed to copy over? Any help would be great! Thanks

Copy all the files directly to your /windows folder. Make sure it doesn't create a subdirectory. You are basically overwriting the existing skin, so hit yes to all prompts. It's too bad that HTC didn't implement a skin function into the program!

[28/08] 4 "nice & easy" Skins for your Action Screen!

here are 4 nice Skins for your HTC Touch Action screen!
No installation required.
You have only to...
How to install:
1) unzip the ".zip" file you want to use:
-set black and orange.zip
-set cool white.zip
-set white and black.zip
-set black and red.zip
-original set.zip
on a folder on your computer.
NB: check on your device, "\Windows" folder,
If you have, for example, "AS_01_focus.brn" instead of "Blue_AS_01_focus.brn"
just delete the "Blue_" from all the downloaded files, inside the extracted folder
on your computer!
2) copy all files extraced into your device, in the "\windows" directory
replacing the original image sets.
3) done!
no restart required.
Just use and see if you like it.
Note:
If you dont like, you can put the original set back
using the "original set.zip" file, with the same procedure
or "backup the files from your device into a folder on your computer"!
(the files you have to backup have the same name of the ones in the set ".zip" file)

Which version of the Action Screen are you using? The reason I ask is because the files on my phone don't have the "Blue_" extension in front of them. Example, AS_01_focus.brn, etc.
Anyone having trouble with this, check your Windows folder. If you have the AS files then just delete the Blue_ from the downloaded files and it should work.
FYI, I'm using HTC Action Screen v1.0.

What we really need is a Windows Mobile 6.5 Welcomehead. Currently WM6.5 boots with the same old WM6.1 boot screen... and it sucks.
I've been looking for the original green WM6.1 splash screen online so I could simply make the small change.
Just letting someone know there is a high demand and could end up being widely used.

I wonder why it isn't 640x480?

It is 640 x 640 square so that regardless of what orientation the screen is in (portrait or landscape) the whole screen is covered.

Now have a lot of improvements thanks to TL RC3.

The mode to use this theme was change a little, no more gesture to open pages or open menu box.
This is the instructions:
Unzip the file inside your Setups folder
Some Notes:
the zip have 2 lock.xml
I recommend to use the lock nitrogencontrol.xml if you use nitrogen version 1.1 and if you have installed in main memory. For use that rename lock nitrogencontrol.xml to lock.xml
I you, like me, use nitrogen 1.2 alpha4 so use the default lock.xml.
PLEASE CONFIG FIRST BEFORE USE THE THEME.
PS: I will post the Hero Contact widget in the apart of Widgets HERE.
About the Calendar widget, this is close to work perfect, I recomend to wait to brunoisa10 finish his new script and then the widget will be posted in the respective page.

What are you having problems with? The instalation or the configuration of the app?
To install the theme just uncompress the zip file and place the contents inside the \Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2 folder so there's a file in the path:
\Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2\config.xml
Then open ThrottleConfig and select Hero2 in the combo. Reaset the plugin (you can click config to config the theme if you want)... The theme must appear in your today screen .

That's right the mod has to be done over the home.xml... Though I think that if you change the height of the plugin in ThrottleConfig the bottom bar will be shown. Go to ThrottleConfig, click the advanced button and uncheck the hide bottombar icon. Ensure the height is changed also. Then reload the plugin.

Please note that this is just the first try and that the animations are very big ( WVGA ~1,9mb).
But they should play normally.

This are full packages including the Animated.gif and the Welcomehead!
I'm going to update them, they are not avaible at the moment
Installation:
Just place the animated.gif in the /windows folder on your phone with a file explorer like "RescoExplorer" or "Total Commander".
Please note that the Windows Explorer doesn't work!
Copy file -> to your Phone -> in the Windows folder -> the Reboot

put it on the rood of your sd card then use "total commander" and move it to the windows folder on your phone. (don't use file explorer )
copy file > mobile device > windows folder > reboot.

I got a himalaya so a static welcomehead.PNG would be good as the himalaya cannot run a moving .gif at bootup.

My stock ROM doesn't have an animated startup currently so does anyone know how to get this working as putting it in the Windows folder doesn't do anything I just get the O2 first screen then the welcomehead?
