Summary:
You need a new screen.
1.) Send for warranty repair/replacement.
2.) Pay someone else to do it.
3.) Download manual, get a replacement, and do it yourself.
Google "Wizard_Service_Manual.pdf" or download from here.
READ, READ, READ!
Take your time, you can do it!
p.s. Check the part # from your screen. There are 2 different ones, and they aren't interchangeable.

Qtek 9090 green button stuck! need to repair urgently

Dear all,
One of our businessmen inflicted unintended damage to one of our BAs.
It looks it has fallen, as the screen part which moves to display the keyboard has a larger gap on the left side,, nad is has scratch in the chassis lower part.
The green button does not do the nice clickety feedback it should do (the red does).
The phone keeps opening the phone program and keeps trying to call forever. I can cancel the initiated call, but it opens up again.
I believe sending it to Authorized Service (it's 6 months old, but on warranty) will take hopelessly long, so I am willing to do the repair job myself.
I would like some directions, if there is a service manual somewhere on teh web, and it looks like some screws are Torx T6, but some others are even smaller, and I don't know which screw is that.
If someone can guesstimate which piece is probably damaged and point me an e-shop which sells spare parts, I'd greatly appreciate!
EDIT
I also want to hack around the broken button, removing the phone function from it, and assigning it to the'windows menu' hardware key.
I haven't found anything on how to do it on the forums or wiki, but I believe it should be doable thru the registry - I just don't know where to look.
/EDIT
Many many thanks,
Brazilian Joe

My touch diamond with rom 1.93 suddenly is very dim screen. When i reset & there is nothing on the screen but i can hear the os startup sounds. After a while i will be able to see something on the screen, but it is extremely dim to the put where i cant use the phone outside. An error shows up right away stating that there is a microp version mismatch & to reinstall the microp firmware. Tried reinstalling the 1.93 rom, but that did not help. still the same error. Use warranty if you have. Goto a tech guy if possible. If no solution then sit down and get ready to rip it apart.
P.M me, i'll help all i can, cause i'm in the same boat, but in despair. Have no hope left so have boldness to do anything.!
Bulls eye!
microp error
This occurs when while boot diamond fails to find the correct hardware radio, wifi and Bluetooth
Well the small cable was not attached properly so i opened and attached it. Hell of a job, HTC are very compact.
And WIFI bluetoth back on.
Warn you this cable is very delicate and HTC's original manual says to replace this cable once you open your device. But where will you find a cable?!?!
And I have got the screen from ebay U.S.
Now while replacing the screen the tech guy stupid NooB forgot to take off the last fblack colored film of the display and reattached the new one over it, so now the digitizer isnt wrking properly and the new screen appears very dark.
I have to do it my self. I dont know if i will ever have my diamond back again
For display and lower keyboard panel(having buttons and breath)
You have to attach two small connectors. They are very hard to install and yes it would be better you get it done from some place.

Please Help White screen, discoloration, and unresponsive touch

Hi all,
I have a T-mobile wing and it has the stock rom on it. Also, it is not hard spl anymore. I used to have open touch 6.1 lite diamond. The phone turns on and makes the keyboard sound. When it turns on there is a white screen but if you move the screen out so that the keyboard is visible you can see a discolored screen with windows mobile on it. Also, you cannot use the touch screen. The farthest you can get is the welcome screen that has the align screen but it wont align. Would anyone be kind enough to please help me with this issue. I greatly appreciate the help and great thanks to all in advance. I have read around in the forums and it says to buy a new screen, a digitizer, or fix the display drivers. I currently think it might be a software problem but I do not know where to start. Again any help is appreciated and thank you all again in advance for your help.
Have you given the unit some time indoors to warm up? Working for Garmin tech support, I have seen many wierd thing go on with screens and electronic device as a whole when it starts getting cold outside.
Then again, it may be something that is going on with the software of the phone. Something along the lines of a display driver.

Thank you very much for responding. Yes, I have let the unit warm up. At first this problem went away but it came back after. What do you mean by display drivers? Do you think I should hard-spl again and try a new rom? And if that doesn't work, should i open up the unit and see if the cable it tightly attatched? Before the discoloration, I was able to use my phone with open touch 6.1 lite, but there was a white screen when the keyboard was not visible. Also, when i moved the keyboard, the phone would work by allowing to me call and text but it would freeze a lot. I hope this clarification helps.
Mod please move to herald section because this topic may or may not pertain to herald mobile 6.
Would anyone please help me I would greatly appreciate any advice, thanks in advance to all. p.s. I added pics and the touch screen doesn't work, the physical keys kind of work when the screen is viewable.
Reply please!
did you ever figure it out!? oh wow finally i found someone with a similar problem. my wing was in my pocket at work when the first similar signs arose. ITS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW! it did that for a while and now the screen is just all white=( PLEASE help! anything would be good. i just want to know if its fixable or should i just get a new phone. you can email me too at [email protected]

Black screen, green led

Hi all,
I need help, or at least my Kaiser needs help!
Let me explain : a few days ago I saw that my waiting cursor was turning and turning. So I decided to perform a soft reset. No luck, the screen remained black after that.
After several soft resets, I thought it was time to do a hard reset. But it didn't work either!
I went through forums, wiki and lots of search engines, so my next move was to try the bootloader. Usuccesfully, except that now the green led is on. It doesn't blink, it's just green. And the screen is still black.
I've heard of white screen issues, of multicolor screen issues, but no case of black screen with the green led.
I never flashed my ROM, I don't use any cracked software and I allways take care of my phone, so I have no idea of what did happen.
What do you think about that? Is my Kaiser bricked? any comment ? Any advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Not Bricked
Hi
Sorry to hear your device has stopped working.
I don't think it's "Bricked" in the classic sense because you haven't done anything that would have damaged the boot section (IPL/SPL) of the ROM storage area (EPROM chip to be precise). It's possible that some part of the ROM memory has become corrupt on it's own. What were you doing at the time of the soft reset? If you were renaming/replacing files in the ROM of the device using a 3rd party file explorer this might have caused a problem of this kind but not much else.
It sounds more like some kind of hardware failure. Could you have damaged the Mini-USB port on the bottom of the phone? If you've never flashed a ROM, radio or splash screen then your manufacturer's (i.e. HTC's) warranty should be intact, if the device is within the warranty period. I think HTC offer a two year warranty period, but don't quote me on that. If you bought the item recently and have proof of purchase, you should probably take the device to the shop where you bought it and ask for a replacement under the warranty.
Cheers

Thank you but...
I'm not very proud of it, but when my phone started to be a mess, I was trying one of the "fart machine" cabs floating around the forum... Sad end for a Kaiser.
Unfortunately in France we only get a one-year warranty on this kind of product (to force you to sign for an extra warranty I guess).
Ok then, I think I can only sell it on [email protected] for spare parts now, to save at least a few bucks.
Thank you for your comment anyway.
