SupeRom
Thanks guys As i write this I'm downloading the Rom. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Thank you guys, I will try it this weekend and give a feedback.

thanks, it's great to see new rom cookers here as Ive always feel that every cook brings a little something to the table!

Installed with no problems. Well slight problems with configuring the battery meter as it is in Czeck! - so some trial and error here but it works very well.
Everything works fine with T-mobile in the U.K.
Early days but could be the best ROM yet.
I have tried all the others and up to now have been using
Risidoro. This is similar but may just edge Risidoro into second place.
Very well done.

An english version of the battery meter Batti 2.1 can be found at:-
http://andrsd.blogspot.com/2006/08/batti-21.html
Makes it a lot easier for us english to configure!

No it does not.

After having some problems with Molski's, battery drain etc. I installed yours, up until now running smoothly.
Maybe worth considering the crossbow icons, because people are waiting for this for 3 weeks already. It seems very important.....
..........
Thanks guys

After the boot is completed or when it gives the startup screen?
edit: It seems that my wizard has given up..
When I turn it on it does all the 'checks', than it gives the Splash screen (Windows mobile loading...), and after that the screen sort of flashes.. It actually turns into stripes, than
it turns into grey -> black, and it boots up again.. It keeps doing this routine.. It looks to me it's sort of broke? When I plug it in via USB it doesn't make any difference...

Try this one i think u flash ur previous ROM which is still locked...it happens before with me.
1.In your PC (task manager) "end the task for wescomm.exe" you can find this in the processes window (this is related with activesync installed on your PC).
2.Get your phone in bootloader mode. Like this : hold the "voice dial" and shortly press the reset button by stylus, release the reset button and wait for the USB color screen
3.Now connect your USB cable to your phone. And start MTTY_updateROM.exe as attached . After open, on Port selection, choose \\.\WCEUSBSH001 and press OK. A window will open with a blank sheet.
4. Type "r2sd all" and hit enter... wait to the end (at end shows "cmd>"). On your phone screen u can follow backup progress... small bar will appear down the RGB screen.
5. To revived your device you have to downgrade it to 1.05 Rom ( ftp://xda:[email protected]_11210_WWE.exe )
6.Be sure that you have to unlock first your device before you will flash again with another ROM like V2.XX or more.

Great! It looks like it's working perfect..! Only the part with the updater isn't completely clear to me... I can get the USB color screen and hit the "r2sd all" in the blank sheet. It immediately gave the Cmd> and a white bar with USB in it below the screen on my wizard.. ?
(immediately after I entered my way through the "r2sd all" command) It doesn't give anything extra...
Any more thoughts

SuperROM 1.1 WWE
Hi all,
I flashed that molskis ROM and than Superrom 1.1 WWE by ppctuning.org and I must say:
The SuperROM is the best ROM for wizard, much better than molski, ridsoro, faria etc! There are also changes right in system, but much more.
This ROM is very fast and stable. The system is faster, without overclock (I disabled it), than in other ROMs overclocked to 240MHz! After HR it has 45 MB free ROM and 32 MB free RAM. There are preinstalled some usefull programs (only freeware) and you can optionally install much other programs from extended-rom.

If you stuck on boot or color screen !

Guys,
This is my experience with O2, which stuck on boot after udated to new IVAN's ROM.
First of all I'd like to thank Ivan for his great job.
Now, what I did:
Downgraded to se2003
Unhide, Unlocked EXTROM
Repartition EXTROM to 8MB
Upgraded to new WM5 ROM
Reboot -> STUCK !
I found the solution which worked for me and may be will help you too.
More, after my second attempt to upgrade ROM, my Laptop rebooted itself a 47% ! I did panic- my device was gone dead!
even Bootloader mode was unavailable.
OK, I disconnected PDA from cradle, removed battery and left it for 10 minutes. Then I put battery back, and was able to put it into bootloader mode.
Then, I run mtty utility and typed in "set 14 0" I'm not sure why and how, but it allowed me to to go to bootloader mode.
-I set SE2003 OS
-I repartition EXTROM to 16MB
-Updated again to new Ivan's WM5.
Voila ! it's OK now. I'm installing all needed CAB's and now have clean very fast and working OK WM5 OS o my O2 XDAs PDA.
( although have not tryed yet BT and WiFi)
I'm afraid the problem was due to setting number 8000 KB in partiotion tool set it actually a bit less something about 79xx KB.
May be EXTROM for Ivan's ROM did not like it and failed to boot. But this is just a speculations, I'm not sure. I should perhaps set size o EXTROM to say 9000KB and try again, but simply did not have a time to do test.
Nevetheless, I'm happy now.
can u provide me step by step (noob guide) to downgrade back to wm2003se ... the one i downloaded from the official site doesn't work ... it will say error and i still stuck with wm5 ... im a noob ... please really help, thanks
ok at last i found it ... extract the installation files provided by o2 ... put the rom file into the downgrade folder provide by the modified rom pack ... now i try go back to wm5 ... wish me luck
i tried go back to win2003se but when i use the unlocker tools it failed ... so i guess i will nvr get to see the ext rom ... anyway as long as the phone can be use i will leave it as it is now
Yes, I know, it gives you an error message (something about wrong parameters) on unlock. But, under that you can see another message box with unlock OK message. Quite weird.
Steps I took to downgrade are exactelly as instructions in downgrade folder.
And one more thing I forgot ! After unhiding I did soft-reset, then unlocked and then Formatted ETROM folder before upgrading to WM5.

maybe that's why u able to see the extrom after upgraded to wm5 ... btw i install the cabs one by one and now my wm5 worked ... guess imnot going to touch it anymore, but the performance is actually quite slow ... do you actually install all the cabs into the device, storage card, or extrom partition (i dont have this) ... to maximise the performance?
what WM5 are you using?
if you ask me, i'm using Ivan's ROM + radio 15.0 with about 10 diff. cabs installed.
performance is not such impressive, but everything is working and I do not have soft I won't use.
clean and quite reliable, but speed is slow.
COM -
I also got stuck with a white screen after flashing ArtZ Rom and doing a hard reset.
Just a white screen and nothing happens.
Flashed other Roms - back to Tuma - same thing - white screen after hard rebooting.
Stuck and confused now.
Any ideas for a solution?
Thnx
OK - I am back.
Panic mode over - whew!
Flashed back to WM2003 from i-mate site - it worked.
Then flashed to latest ArtZ Rom.
Don't really know what happened or why. I've upgraded to nearly every WM5 Rom with no problems. suspecting the partitioning of extrom?

imatrix, thank you very much, your hint solved
this issue with stucked boot screen and Extended
ROM Error when downgrading to SE2003.
I already tried with mtty and "SET 14 0", but
don't know for the other commands / task 28, task 0.
The main hint is "task 28" which made DOC_format_HW+
DOCInfoTableinitHW+ other formatting.
Again, thank you very much and all the best to you.
Greetings from Croatia, the small land for a great vaccation ;-)

imatrix's suggestion.
@imatrix
Followed the steps before, and followed them again.. I'm still stuck.
Something interesting happened though:
There are two horizontal stripes across the splashscreen now.
I already tried to flash the OS, It doesn't work with the standard imate flash executable (It used to work before) and now I'm getting a 'MODEL ID ERROR' when I try to flash it using the BAupgrade... executable.
I tried with the MAupgradenoid tool, it flashes but I still get stuck on the splashscreen...
Thanks,
Wadih
BlueAngel Bootloader
Anyone has a way to either dump a bootloader file for the BA (Providing the file of course) or alternatively directives to copy it from another device (From the same make, i.e. Imate PDA2K) ?
Many thanks,
Wadih.

I did, but as I specifed in me earlier post, eventhough the MAUpgradenoID flashes the files, I still get stuck at the splashscreen.
Interesting point: After flashing witht the MAUpgradenoID, I try reflashing back with the BAupgradeid.. I get the Model Error ID error back..
Something in the BA is wrong, and I believe it may be in the Bootloader. So, is there a way to replace the bootloader itself?
EDIT: By the way, I can't seem to be able to place a WM5 rom instead of the WM2003, although the flashing procedure starts, it quickly ends (i.e. without the percentage bar appearing) and says that the flashing worked successfully... But nothing gets actually flashed.
Many thanks for the help imatrix.
Regards,
Wadih.

Help with wm5 to wm6 upgrade!

I'm dizzy reading all the threads, information overload, so thought I'd just post the question! This is all a bit scary and I'm a complete newbie so take it easy on me... and feel free to dumb everything down as if I were a child.
I live in Australia and have a Treo 750 with Software Version TREO750-1.15-ROW. It seems to be unlocked but still has the Telstra splash screen, although I use it with Vodafone. I want to upgrade to WM6, and from what I can tell I should upgrade using Treo750_2_27_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater.zip (which I now have). Is this right? Should I skip straight to the WM6.1 upgrade? Are these official/safe?
I am running 32-bit Vista with SP1 on my laptop.
I found instructions on Palm's site here:
http://www.palm.com/au/support/treo750/downloads/wm6update.html
Are those the instructions I should follow? Is that all I need to do? I keep seeing references to the "Bootloader Method" or the "SD Card Method" or the "Cheetah Method". What are all these alternative methods? Which are the advantages of each? I've seen various different instructions, some involving renaming some .nbh file, etc. What is the definitive method?
I saw the sticky thread for the "Cheetah Hard-SPL and SIM Unlocker"... what is that utility for? Are the instructions for it in the download itself? (I didn't see it in the thread) What are "cooked" ROMs and why should I be interested? Where can I find them?
Sorry for the newbieness... thanks so much to all who respond!
upgrade to WM6
If you want to upgrade to the official palm WM6 rom - then you use Treo750_2_27_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater.zip and it is very simple - just connect the PPC to your computer . (as I know better to do it with a computer with WINXP and Activesync) , then run the program in the file Treo750_2_27_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater.zip, and that's it.
If you want to upgrade to other roms like 6.1 normal or lite that you can find in this forum - then you need the other methods (there are two as I know - bootloader method or Kaizer..somthing method). Well, I wrote a guide how to upgrade to WM 6.1 lite using the bootloader method , I just sum up from this forum :
1. Download the rom file and the radio file:
Rom file from here : http://rapidshare.com/files/89355384/Treo750_WM6.1_WWE_Lite.rar
The radio file from here :
http://rapidshare.com/files/89336971/Treo750Radio1.54.07.00.rar
2. Download the Hard-SPL from here :
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Cheetah/Unlocker/CheetahUnlocker.rar
3. Format mini SD card 32 FAT , using a card reader or other way.
4. Do a HARD-SPL with the CheetahUnlocker file ( step 2) . Connect the Treo with your computer using Active sync(for WINXP) and run the file. Use those steps:
- Click the Step 1.... wait the progress bar reach 100%
- Now watch the Screen on your PDA it will launch 2 times verification...
- just click YES ...wait.. and YES again.
- after finisih... wait until the activesync go green again.....
- Now click the Step 2... wait the progress bar reach 100%
- Watch the screen again... same thing.. it will launch 2 times verification.
- click YES ...wait.. and YES again.
- After finish it your PC screen will shows some popup. ignore the reading bla bla bla... about ask u to click ok.
- Just wait untill your activesync go green again.
- Now click that bloody Popup OK button.
- The unlocker app will shows up again..
- Then you will see errors saying.. continue, cancel...etc... bla bla... just click continue.. error message.. iqnore it and then just finish it.
- Now your Cheetah should be on HARD SPL mode.
5. Install the ROM :
a. Using Winrar get the file from step 1. It's name should be : CHEEIMG.nbh
b. Copy the file to the root of the mini SD .
c. Do BOOTLOADER:
1. turn phone on
2. press the MEDIA button AND at the same time with the stylus the RESET PIN

Update Successful
Thanks mate, I'm not brave enough to try the wm6.1 upgrade yet, but I did manage to upgrade to wm6 with the Updater, even though my device was "not supported". I ended up using the method where you edit the payloads.xml file before clicking 'start' so that it accepts your current device version, etc. I'm all good now.

1. turn phone on
2. press the MEDIA button AND at the same time with the stylus the RESET PIN
the MEDIA button is the 3rd button on the left side of the phone, under the volume button
the RESET PIN is under the MINI SD card cover
3. keep holding the MEDIA button (left side of phone) until you get the 3 color screen
Wait until it finishes. Then Hard reset the device when prompted. To hard-reset, hold the End key while pressing the pin reset button. Answer “yes” to “Erase all data” prompt.
6. Flash the radio at the same way – just copy the radio file to the mini Sd – it should be the same name. (CHEEIMG.nbh ) .
7. Download the Palm SMS file from hereYou need it only for the lite version)
http://rapidshare.com/files/99335294/threadedsms.rar
or
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H63TXUP4

And that it all !!
Do not restore from your backup (You can restore only your data files).
Good luck !!

WM 6.1 Upgrade
Can anyone tell me where the AT&T Upgrade for the Treo 750 is to version 6.1. I have seen many different posts here that show many different links and different downloads with different loading instructions. Is there anything out there that is clear? I am willing to give it a try, but I am not exactly sure of which download to try. Thanks for your help.

thanks for the info, i havent tested it my self thats why i didnt knew, edited the First post with this info
Im a noob
Hi I am a noob and followed this guide but it did nothing...
Basically I have a 02 XDA II - it is locked and I want to upgrade it to windows 6/6.1 - I have been reading through the forum for a couple of hours now covering the wiki for himalays and other things.
I followed the steps on this - but nothing has been upgraded. So I guess this isn't how to upgrade to wm6?
So frustrating cos I can't seem to find the instructions on how to do it.
I believe its a rom i need right?> how do i put it on?
Should I unlock the xda first? (havent worked that out yet) or upgrade to wm6 and then it will be unlocked anyway?
Please please help I have been reading loads and trying to not ask obvious thigns.
i donot know if its SIM locked or not...try givinf xda2unlock a try
second, to upgrade you need a ROM, there are MANY roms in this Himalaya WM6 Forum...many of them have detailed instructions
it wont be any harm if you upgrade first...try giving it a shot and tell me
Ather
I have also performed 'Unlock Wiz/Himalaya' but all I get is 'The phone seems unlocked already' - but it is not unlocked - any advice with this also?
try to upgrade the rom simply, if u get stuck, we all are here
I am struggling through trying to work out how to unlock my sim and then flash WM6 onto my 02 XDA ii which therefore is a himalya - says PH10b in model no.
Anyway Im following one of the guides (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...0for newbies) and it says I have to establish whether it is a G3 or G4 or else Ill brick it and probably throw myself out of my window.
So I performed a soft reset and got the following information in red letters when I do it.
R 1.10.00
G 1337. 18
1.60.00WWE
I just don't know if it is a G3 or G4 and can't afford to brick this phone - so please could someone help me so I know which intructions to follow?
I will send best reply a stick of rock from Blackpool (famous for rock - its like sugary concerete).
Sorry to be unclear - it is sim locked - it has horrible 02 logos all over it.
Bastards.
Anyway it is sim locked and wm 2003 i think.
Im not clear about how to install a rom - i did update the drivers putting it in boot and then updating driver from what i downloaded - which I think was to resolve and issue with vista/xp as i am using vista.
Right now im trying to work out G3/G4 because i found what seemed to be a good instrucitonal post
lol, the xda2 doesent has g3 or G4 ... so flash away
So how do i unlock it and then install WM6?
Is there a step by step guide?
It is sim locked and i want to unlock it and install wm6
the Branding has nothing to do with the Simlock, my Himalaya is from O2 too, and all it had was Branding, no simlock.
I'm currently using E-Plus as my Provider, and i did not have to circumvent any simlock before flashing WM6.1 onto the Device.
Also, if it DID have a Simlock, it has probably worn off by now, since the Device is already older than 2 years...
I have managed to unlock the sim now thanks to the wonderful people here but still have no clue how to install wm6?
congrats , just download any ROM and enjoy flashing it
do i just download a wm6 file and put it onto my pda and then execute it? double click it? is it that simple?
Can u spefically tell me how to implement a rom?
i assume i download it but then what?
I am thinking I'll just brick it - then spend months on here asking for help... Id rather just ask beforehand and find out how to do it.
it's exactly like ather said, you downloaded the ROM, now you can flash it to your XDA.
Just do it like it says in the Readme and you should have no Problems whatsoever
Strange
I had an old Qtek 2020 and flashed it successfully to WM6.1 No problems exept...... the phne does not conect to the correct provider. The SIM is for the Belgian BASE provider whereas it connects always to ORANGE. When I put the SIM in my new Diamond or in my very old Nokia phne it connects to BASE as intended. I reflashed to the original Qtek WM 2003 SE and same thing. Reflashed again to WM6.1 ans still it only wants to connect to ORANGE ??? What am I overlooking?
BTW if I donload the list of providers there isno BASE provider. If I download the list on my Diamond it appears whithout any problem.
it could be because of the Network Manager has old settings, try setting it up manually

I don't know if I toasted my XDA
I have an XDA IIs. The biggest problem I think that I made was to use Windows Mobile center since I am using a Windows Vista OS.
I was about to install the windows 6.1 from pinoytopdownloads when suddenly, it stopped and continuosly displayed Serial......version 2.07.
Did I toast my ROM or did it just become blank because Windows Mobile Center disconnects once the phone started changing it's OS?
I have not tried checking if activesync 3.7 on a Windows XP application can still recognize the O2 Xda IIs in that state.
If anyone can guide me or give help regarding this, I will greatly appreciate it. thanks.
try using XP with active sync 4.5 and start the process from the top, hard reset first your BA and put it in bootloader mode...that should work
Upgrading Blue Angel using Vista (without Mail Button)
Hy everyone,
Yesterday I had a bit of a struggle trying to upgrade my SPV M2000 (aka Blue Angel) but in the end it worked.
As you guys are having some trouble too, I'm going to post the way I did it and hope that it works for you as well..
Note I: This steps worked for me but there is no guarantee that they will do so for you too and everything you try is at your own risk. However I am sure, you are all aware of this and really hope that this is going to help you.
Note II: My Laptop runs Vista Business, my BA WM2003 non-SE. I modified the installation process as the mail button on my BA is not working anymore, preventing me from following the normal instructions found in the wiki.
First of all (Prerequisites):
- Ensure Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) is installed and updated to the most recent version. The latest version is 6.1 which worked fine for me.
- Get the drivers for the BA, to be found in the wiki
- Get MTTY 1.4.2, attached to this post
- Get the ROM you want to install, I used Sun Dream's WM6.1 which can be found in the wiki as well
Now, to the task:
To begin with we can follow the instructions given in the wiki for ugrading to wm6 using vista, so I'll just copy&paste those steps from there:
4. Put your device into Bootloader mode by pressing and hold the "Power" & "Record" buttons, and then press the Reset Button.
5. Connect the phone to the sync cable/cradle USB. (Now you can see "USB" at the top of your display and numbers (2.06 or 2.07 at the bottom) You may need to remove SD/MMC (memory) card
6. Now navigate into the WMDC (Start -> All Programs -> Windows Mobile Device Center)
* Click on the "connection settings" menu icon
* In the connection settings menu uncheck "allow USB connections" then press OK.
* Now exit the WMDC and return to the desktop
7. Go into the start menu and type "Services", this will take you into the local services dialogue and show a list of all services either running or registered with your pc.
* Scroll down the list and make sure these services are present:
* Windows Mobile-based connectivity
* Windows Mobile 2003-based connectivity
* If these services are not started then double click each one and set them to Automatic start by clicking the "startup-type" drop-down menu and selecting automatic then click the start button in the same window, apply the setting by pressing OK.
* Return back to the desktop again
8. Go into the start menu and type "Device Manager" then run, this will take you into the device manager.
* Click the "+" symbol next to "Mobile Devices" and double click on "HTC USB Sync". (Note: In my case this was labelled "Microsoft USB Sync")
* This will bring up the properties of the currently connected device.
* Go to the "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver".
* Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software".
* Select "Let me pick from a list...."
* Click the "Have Disk" button.
* Click "Browse" and navigate to the AS_DRIVERS folder we created earlier.
* Now select your file
o Vista 32bit users select the file "wceusbsh.inf"
o Vista 64bit users select the file "wceusbshx64.inf"
* Then click Open.
* Click next and the driver will be installed (wait a moment).
* Press close and escape back to the desktop now.

Next Steps, different from those described in the wiki:
9. Go to the task manager and kill the wmdc.exe process
10. Run MTTY; select the USB option from the dropdown list
- There is also a USB button but the instructions I found said NOT to use it, so I did not test it
- Apparently, the option could also be called something like WCEUSBSH001, but always has to contain USB. In my case it just said USB
- If you do not get a USB option something is not connected correctly, ie it will not work with the stock drivers Vista uses

Next Steps:
11. Take the phone off the cradle. I am not absloutely sure anymore, but I think it still was in bootloader mode at that point. If that is the case just soft reset the device.
- When the device has rebooted it will ask you whether to flash some settings (can't remember which..) about 3 times. Just answer no to all of them.
12. Restart WMDC and re-allow USB connections (under connection settings)
13. Reconnect your device to the cradle and start Active Sync on the Blue Angel
- Make sure your device is shown as "connected" in WMDC
14. Start the ROM installation.
Note: Using "BaUpgradeUT.exe" resulted in a Device ID error. In this case you have to use a version which does not check the ID codes. I used the version attached to this post
15. When the installation is finished, the dialogue on the computer says to cold boot (hard reset) the device.
- If your mail button is not working, just soft reset the device (what I did)
- If your mail button is working you may attempt this. (Please report back!)
I have not yet gotten through really testing the device and I never had a WM6.1 device before, thus no basis for comparison. From the first impressions the soft-reset at the end did not cause any problems and everything seems to be working fine.
16. You're done
Whew, this has gotten rather long. If this instructions work for you, please let me know!
As there seem to be several BAs out there where the mail button doesn't work this might be a useful addition to the wiki.
However, I will not post it there without some feedback whether it works for others as well..
(I hope there aren't to many mistakes in the text; I am not a native speaker)
Final Note:
This is not my work, all the steps described above were found on this forum and on the wiki pages. I just did the job of combining them in a way that worked for me.
My biggest thanks to:
- crabiorc
- ramram
- sp3dev
- all the people who contributed to the wiki pages
Best wishes,
Dipak

Yes. If you feel more comfortable on a specific ROM it is always ok to downgrade or upgrade.
Upgrade XDA IIs to WM6.5
My XDA IIs just froze when resetted earlier and it was running on WM6.1 so I started to wonder if it had totally died. As I mainly leave it in the car and use it for satnav I was considering now buying a tomtom.
Then thought if its dead trying to revive it cant hurt so I found the following link (http://pinoytopdownloads.blogspot.com) to download a zipped file claiming to be WM6.5.
Opened the file and did a hard reset on devicethen sync with PC. Ran the programe which looked farmiliar from previous updates I had used so thought it might work. Half hour later, my XDA IIs came back to life running WM6.5 and none of my data such as text and contacts were lost at all.
It lives again.
Waiting for the HTC Touch Pro2 to see if it lives up to its hype and then can use my PDA as a phone again too cos lets face it... the XDA IIs is a bit of a lump now!

I just bought an 02 XDA IIs. I love it but the bluetooth doesn't work with my Motorola S9 stereo headset unless it's 6 inches from my head. Does your XDA IIs work with stereo bluetooth? Have you tried it with WM6.1? I'd like to know.
Upgrading to WM6.1, Etc.
For all you upgrading Blue Angels to WM6 and high, you need to read the Wiki http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel. Read Blue Angel for beginners and also the upgrading to WM5 and WM6. You'll learn that you can free up some memory being used for the Extended ROM among other things.
I am new here, and this is my first rom flash. I have an O2 XDA lls that was given to me by a friend on WM2003. On XP, following the instructions on the wiki, I have tried with several roms. The flash seems to work, but then as soon as I reset the phone I am back in WM2003. Instead of a striped boot screen, I simply see an O2 logo, and when using the key combinations, I get no debug options.
Anyone have any ideas?
well did you flash a proper rom or maybe just a radio rom, meaning just an upgrade on wireless tech, because that process would "feel" like flashing a rom but actually doesn't change the OS
I don't really know. But I used the roms on this page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardUpgrade4
if that helps. I also used one off the helmi_c to check it wasn't a dodgy rom. DO you have any specific one to recommend? When I downloaded and unziped the rar, I simply ran the upgrade file within which started a wizard which said it would upgrade my pda. Strangely, the wizard did not display any information about the pda on the screen which tells you the rom info. Is it possible that it is not being detected? Do I need to install some extra drivers on XP?
it is perfectly normal that this upgrade tool does not show all the information like an official upgrade would, first of all, that is because these are cooked roms, meaning you only upgrade the OS, not the protocol, radio and extrom. that would be baked roms. but anyway, also, that the device's current information is not fully shown or not shown at all is normal, as you are probably using the MAupgradeut_noID.exe in contrast to the original BAupgradeut.exe, just by the first two letters (and the giant picture in the wizard) you can tell that this upgrade tool is actually for the magician, but works best for BA.
for recommendation:

the R6.1 release on that site is the newest real release, meaning you can get full further support, the download links work...
Don't get fooled by the R6.1, we are still talking about wm6.5, it is just the xplode release number.
P.S. no extra drivers needed, just use the wiki wizard word by word and it will work
The same thing happens again. Using the ROM upgrade file, it all seemed to work, and then when I attempt to do a hard reset, I get no stripes, just an O2 logo, and no boot options. I am then returned to Wm2003. Maybe I will try on another computer.
it's nice, but there is some application lost.
