How do I fix my operator on my phone - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

I had my I-mate PDA2k with WM5_ArtZ_upgrade_WWE 1.7.1.3400_SD_ROM and it would not boot. So I found a fix on the forum using mtty 1.42. Know when I try to change my Rom back or change it to something else I get error 100: model id error 12-N-10-N-N. My operator should be T-Mob101, but when I get the data from the phone it says 0000A0000T%CID?.
Can I fix the opereator on the phone directly or can I get around this some how?

same problem
I have exactly the same problem!!! but mine is SX66 Siemens phone

well i dont know how to fix this operator thing, but u can get around with by using MaUpgradeUt_noID tools.
if you are using helmi_c's rom, it's located under folder PH20B1. so just copy the rom file in there, set the oeprator as your T-Mob101 and flash.
u should also take out the SD card while flashing, just in case.

Downgrading WinMob 5 to Win2003SE

Hi there
I'm trying to downgrade my Qtek9090. I have WinMob 5 and I want it to be the Rom from http://www.orange.ch/offers/orangePhones/spvM2000/spvM2000Rom?ts=1144157178509.
Now, I got the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and I did just use it like its written...
Now I have Win2003se but none of that stuff provided by Orange in this Rom (At the first start it said some stuff was missing and it xould be deleted). Then I tried again without the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and still get a country error...
Do I have to re-partition the memory like I did for the WM5 update?
Thx for answers...
greetz
Well for wm5 you most lickly got rid of your ext rom as you wanted it for storage.
So now there is no place to flash the extrom so the cabs that are part of the extrom do not run and thus you get no ORANGE related files.
What you need to do is create a new EXT rom partion and flash the rom again.
This time you can delete the radio.nbf and the NK.nbf and just leave the MS.nbf (it will be a lot faster).
First of all, thanks for the reply!
great...now, how do I do it? Do I need a special size of the rom?
Sorry to say this but.....
Please read wiki
Ta
For more info you can read here
omfg this looks like work..
Sorry MDAIIIUser I used the search button (but only for the forum, my bad)...But anyway, I know you are very busy just read some threads while waiting for an answer...But you're doing a great job...All of the people here in fact...
i'm also downgrading to WM2003SE according to the directions on wiki,
BUT i have 2 questions:
1. i bought my qtek 9090 as a stand-alone qtek9090 (so not combined with a provider). does this mean i don't need the Extended ROM?
2. i aksed this question in another topic aswell, but lateron i found that this topic is more acurate to my question..so sorry for that!
here's the question:
in the manual, it says I have to download my latest favorite WM2003SE ROM version (which in my case is the Dutch Qtek DANGA001 version 1.40.00, EXTROM 1.40.556),
and FROM that file i should copy the nk.nbf to my "\DOWNGRADE TO WM2003SE\" folder..
and THAT'S what seems impossible to me, since the Rom-update i downloaded is an .exe application, and not a .zip or .rar archive..
so how should i get/extract/copy the nk.nbf file out of this Rom-update .exe file..?
i simply skipped that step but now my device keeps crashing every minute (even DURING soft and hard resets!)
HELP!

execute the application and search in C:\Documents and settings\NAME\Local settings\Temp for your file.
if you don't find it, continue on your application and try again.
thats how i had to do extract the files from my swisscom update file (wich was an exe file too)
I downgraded my spv m2000 from wm5 to 2003 and everything is fine apart from the phone doesn't work.
It just says no service all the time, can anyone help please?
Thanks.
Check the radio version on the boot screeen to see if the device sees it.
Check that you see the version under settings.
Check that you have a sim in the device
Check that you not in flight mode.
ok now onit thanks for the quick reply
Be also aware that in the boot process the radio can sometimes not load, no know reason for this but fixed with a soft reset (stick up the hole).
My device sees the radio version on the boot screen (1.06.02)
I can see the version under settings and i have a sim in and flight mode is off but still no luck.
Shall i try another sim?
Try your sim in another phone (and another sim in that phone).
What do you see at the top of the screen (should be a bar chart with an x) if you have no link.
I put another sim in and now it's all fine GPRS and Phone works
thanks for the help.
Would the device be affected if you had a pin code on the sim?
The sim code is only for the sim card.
Without the sim pin code you can not unlock the sim card.
Thus the radio will not connect to a carrier and you will not beable to phone out.
A phone lock is a lock that stops you putting in a different sim card into the phone (thus you need to stay with the same carrier)
This is a device lock and needs to be unlocked on the device to be able to put in a different sim from a different carrier.
Tool found on wiki
I would think that your first sim is either no longer valid (out of date or is a pre-paid with no money) or it has a sim lock that you dont not have the pin code of and failed to mention that it asked you for it.
Anyway have fun with the BA and read wiki for more info.
Thanks

Radio Update Error

Good time of the day!
I have Orange SPV M2000 France. I received it without radio ROM. OK. I tryed update radio rom to new one from shipped packed (downloaded form this FTP). Device writes Radio ROM Update Error.
OK. I readed all posts about fixing this problem. Now I have not working Bluetooth (License Expired BDA 00:00:00:00:00:00) and no Radio ROM.
Also, sometime, it writes in Model ID filed not PH20B but random chars.
Bootloader version 2.07.
Have any idea how to repair this device?
May be flash it from SD card (but how create it and where I can found images for write to SD card?).
Thank you very mutch.
P.S. All other stuff works fine (I mean that this device works fine as PDA, but no Phone and, now, no Bluetooth).
Help, please.

Yes. I tryed. As I said I tryed all solutions from forum. No result. It freez on 0% when I use _NoID.
Any idea?
mtty
have you tryed this?
one of the commands cleans your storage, so do a backup first
Thank you. But yes. I tryed it too.
No result.
I think I need full flash for this device.
Sorry, guys. But have you any ideas how to repair my device?
May be somebody can dowload full-flesh from devices and upload it on FTP?
Have you gone through this page and if so what errors did you get and when.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.15_Upgrade
Yes. I did.
If I use Type II it reports Radio Update Error at 0%.
If I use Type I it freeze on 0% without reporting error.
If I use original (not NoID) then it reports CountryID error even [CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1 in .ini file.
Well I know for a fact that one user had a real painful radion install.
In the long run ir was a USB issue on his dektop.
I would try a different pc and follow wiki, dont mix your files TYPE I needs the type one update files and the fix.bat.
Type II the no_id
If you mix them it wont work.
Coutnry ID error is solved with Type II and No_id
OK. Thank you. I will try on second PC today.
OK. I tryed last solution. Same result. Radio update error.
I am really sorry. But anybody have solution?

How do I set operator in Xplode ROM 3.5??

No longer a problem, and hasn't been answered
please refer to http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_GettingStarted.
I also post the files that u need to set operator (just in case u could not find it).
Error 120
Hi, thanks for that!
I have succesfully changed the operator of xplode's aku 3.5 rom to "Orange UK".
When I now try to run the "BaUpgradeUt", I get error 120: Country ID Error. It says the ROM is not right for my device.
Should I be using "MaUpgradeUt_noID"?
Tom
P.S The only reason I hesitate is that the device shown to the left of the upgrade utility window is not a blue angel. Please confirm that this is correct.
MAUpgradeUT_NOID.exe i a modified magician upgrade file which does not check CID and model id

Yet another Herald dead...

I tried all I found in this forum, but I couldn't solve the problem... I always get the ERROR [300] INVALID UPDATE TOOL
It seems that the only way to restore it is to load the original ROM, but I don't know which one it is (I suppose it's a WWE version...); I tried to get the device ID with the USB sniffer method, but it can't be read (Error!).
The internal label shows following:
P/N:99HCL042-00
IMEI:352442016058693
S/N:SZ705FS00599
and there is a second label with
1097-32-061445
SZ705FS00599
IPL/SPL are both 01.008.0001
Can anyone help me???
Thanks a lot,
Jeff
First of all, did you search the Wiki ?
Possibly your IPL/SPL is too low.
If you think that's the one, try to download the WWE official ROM and try to flash it.
You should tell where you found/bought the device and which was the version you were using before having the device dead.
