i sorted the problem by hard resetting the device and editing what was there, i use the method in a old thread that was used on a xda 2 which i used on my old xda 2 so i knew it should work but it did not for me on ba, thanks for the excellent forum, keep it up.

Hi There
I've been using an O2 XDA mini s with an orange sim card in it, which works fine for calls, internet and text messages, but I cant get the MMS to work. I went into an Orange shop and they told me that I might need to debrand the phone in order to do this, as the O2 branding may prevent MMS being used. I'm a bit simple with all of this stuff - I have read through the forum and cant see any instructions relevant to doing this, so please forgive me if its on here somewhere
Any help would be most appreciated
James
i ve installed just o2 dialer it work fine
exept in "etat appel "
mute note end contact are not visible but i know where they are
sorry for bad english
I have recently bought a MDA Compact II of a mate of mine. It used to be on T-mobile but has been unlocked and currently has an o2 sim. I have had some problems though. I cant seem to use my o2 GPRS settings in the device, or send MMS messages. When i take a picture using the camera, then go to send in a MMS the device freezes and i can not get back to the main screen. Also, when i try to send a file through MMS using the file manager, nothing comes up.
When i go to send a new message, i click on the menu button and the Insert Item field is greyed out. Does anyone know the problems i am having and how to fix them?
Thanks in advance for any help.
PS: Not much of a problem but wonder if it can be fixed anyway. Is there a way i can change the boot screen picture? It has the t-mobile design at the moment.
Hi. First of all, i'm not tiny bit as knowledgeable as the gurus on this board, but this seems to be solvable by my bird brain, so here goes.
First of all, I think you should do a hard reset and before the T-mobile customisations begin, you should soft reset to prevent T-mobile gprs and mms settings etc from getting installed.
Then you can install or configure O2 settings.
For boot screen, you need to CID unlock your device and then splash the required boot screen. There was quite a discussion in the Charmer forum about this. You might want to check the Charmer threads. Loads of information there.
Hope some of this helps. Cheers.

1.- Settings: Delete all the T-Mobile connections, and create your own according to carrier of the SIM you are using. Doesn´t take much to figure out how to I wouldn´t recommend to stop the customisation where the extended ROM is deployed, you may find useful settings in your Ext ROM.
2.- Splash screen: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=253308
Good luck!
I have done a soft reset before customization begins, but my o2 details do not seem to want to work when i test them. The splash screen thing looks a little complicated and i will read up on it sometime.
Now for my other problem. Does anyone know why when i click "Send to MMS" after taking a picture the device locks up and i need to soft reset to use the device again. And also why is the "insert item" field greyed out in the menu when creating a new SMS?
By the way thank you for the other advice. I will be reading up on it very soon.
moved to charmer.
since soft and hard resets have proven futile, you may want to try a rom upgrade to see if it makers any difference.

Is anyone out there using a TYTN 2 on the rogers network in Canada? ..
I've recentaly brought one back from europe and i'm having trouble getting it working properly. I can send and recieve text messages but when it come's to calling or trasnfering data i cannot.
I'm realtively new to this but i have managed to flash my device to an english ROM from a norwegian one with limited success as well as unlocking the SIM port for use with any sim card.
My device keeps telling me that i dont have my connection details entered properly and that it cannot communicate with the provider properly. I dont know if this is maybe related to the radio i'm using or if it's simple becasue the ROM i'm using doesn't have Canada or rogers in the provider list.
i relaize that maybe these questions are alittle primitive but i'm trying really hard to understand all of this If some one can point me to a thread where i can read more about the basics of this stuff that would be great also.
Changing the operating system on your phone is pretty cool and someday hope to cook my own.
One last question, is there anyway to remap my keys so that i get my original norweigan configuartion back?
Thanks much,
Ben.

Perhaps if you install HTC Connection Setup on this rom it should detect your Rogers Provider and set it up correctly.
You can find it in my shared files in my sig.
I am using it here in Toronto. I had to configure it mannually at first. But later, I have downloaded a new rom from HTC Club (Official Rom), that has all the settings for Rogers.
If you need call Rogers and tell them that you need help to set-up your data connection.
They've given me these Settings for manual config:
Rogers GPRS Config
Access Point Name: internet.com
Username: wapuser1

Hi all new to this web site. I have just bought an O2 XDA lli off ebay. Person said was working fine and was unlocked. Now when I got it out the box, charged it up from empty it booted up from fresh had to set it up. It finished installing everything. The signal icon at the top of the right side of the screen has an exclamation mark and says no service when taped.
In the phone settings i have tried putting it in manual but says can't read from network. It reconises sim fine.
I have tried upgrading the rom with one found on this site but says like wrong counrty code.
After things i've read, am i looking at a hardware problem or can some one help me find a solution if it's software. Please help me, I just want it to be a fully working XDA phone.
Out of interest, which country are you in and what service provider.
I'm in England and on Orange - I use the deathnoise rom with no problems.
i have same problem , where we find this rom ?
Hello everyone,
Been using my HTC One on 4.2.2 (STOCK) with no issues until suddenly two days, I could not make calls or receive calls nor send or receive text messages.
I called T-mobile technical team and complained but simcard seems to be working fine, I took out my t-mobile simcard into my iPhone and it worked perfectly no issues.
I went ahead to buy different networks simcards Three UK & 02 tried it both on my htc but still the same no signal or network, so its definitely something wrong somewhere on my HTC one.
All simcards bought and including my T-mobile simcard worked well on the iphone and not the HTC.
Which i find very strange before this happened my HTC has been working fine, please the tech geeks in the forum help me out. Has anyone encountered this problem and how did you fix it?
What I have done so far:
I have restarted or rebooted my HTC one.
I have reset and wiped my HTC to factory settings
I have done a soft reset
still no luck, I need help guys.
Everything works fine I just dont have network signal to make calls/receive/send or receive text messages, I noticed on the upright coner where the signal strength is there is an 'X' symbol included a screenshot.
Please help
Go into settings- mobile data- network operator-search networks.see if it detects your carrier... If it does, then select it

Okay they should be able to run technical support for you and exchange it if there is still warranty. Don't know how Tmobile UK works but that's how it works here in the states.

I bought it off a friend which it does not have warranty, I tried flashing custom rom thinking this might solved the problem. I successfully unlocked the bootloader installed TWRP but I cant view my folders :crying:
Its says internal memory 0mb I read somewhere online to mount my sdcard I tried mounting it but it says unable to mount partition, I tried wiping cache none of this worked am stuck with stock.
Right now can anyone tell me how to fix this problem am having with TWRP cant view my sdcard folder, I want to flash official firmware 4.2.2. or flash a custom rom on the HTC one.
Please assist
I finally fixed the unable to mount sdcard issue with TWRP I guess the twrp I installed was faulty I made use of Hasson2000 v3.1 Tool kit it fixed it :fingers-crossed:
Now am back to square one flashing custom rom to fix my issue of unable to make or receive calls or text message, can anyone help with a direct link on this forum on How to flash Custom rom on HTC one S-ON ?
So far I have unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP 2.6.0, I know there alot of them on this forum but a noobie guide will be great thanks.
Just ad update: I have flashed Viperrom 2.6.0 now my HTC One has network and signal but I cant still make or receive calls what is really going on with HTC ONE m7?
Please if anyone has experienced this and fixed it please how did you fix this issue?
sme problem
I have exactly the same problem ice flashed new firmwares and new radios it's got me stumped
Dialer glitch / can't make calls
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but when attempting to call someone from the stock phone dialer, I am unable to call. The phone will decide to call maybe 10-15 seconds later even if I have locked my phone. Apparently there is a bug with Skype that causes the phone to act funny when attempting to call. I had the same issue, and after ensuring the Skype service isn't running, and I am logged out of Skype, my phone dialer is no longer glitching. Worth a try before flashing, resetting phone?
You could also try completely removing skype, and all the files associated with it from your phone.
