Has anyone actually purchased a car kit & have feedback?

seen a couple for sale, are they any good ?, how do they compare with the nokia kits.

Bought one
First impression looks good, i will be installing it this weekend and let you know about the results.

Installed, working and satified
Today I have installed the kit in my car, even the GPS is working fine, this however took a lot of reverse engineering.
I have posted a (dutch) review to the website of the pocket pc club, they will be publishing it soon.

Yes for the carkit, maybe for the GPS
If your looking for a simple, hassle free carkit that works fine --> Yes
If your looking for the above AND want to hookup your existing GPS AND are not afraid to do some handy work --> Yes
Else, wait for the O2 GPS and buy the O2 carkit+GPS (to be released next CEBIT).

Install imate PDA2 ROM, IR range will be incresed !!!

I have just discovered that the infradred strength of SPV M1500/XDA IIi is not as weak as people thought. After installing Imate PDA2 rom on my brother's XDA IIi, now I can controll my TV and DVD player in distance of nearly 4 metres. How cool is this?

What is the actual spec of the ROM you used (e.g. radio version etc etc)?

and what software for that you use?
can you describe it in details please?

I used the latest Imate rom with Novii Remote Deluxe. 4 metres away from TV and DVD player, work perfectly ok which I was not able to do with XDA IIi ROM.

Mine qtek 2020i works up to 2 meters, maybe little more... but not 4 and not even 3 meters...=((
Did anyone try to remove black cover from IR and see if work distance increases? I wanted to try - but have no tools to remove it - and doing by only hands - Iam afraid to break it and loose my warranty..=((

The black cover just pops off without need for any tools.
I have not got remote program installed yet!

I know, I just was afraid that I can break it...
recently I removed cover and tested IR without cover.Removing it increased IR working distance from to 2.5 to almost 4 meters... not much but 4 meters suits my needs.

What software do you use?

Have you tested the app with a fully charged battery on the same DVD?

And where are you getting these ROM? Can you give us please a downloadlink that we others can get these great update?

Could you post the info of the device using this ROM? e.g. date of ROM, version number etc.

Sky mobile TV

Hi has anyone got any idea how to get Sky Mobile TV to work on the Tytn II. (I am on T-mobile UK) I have contacted customer services who say it will not work because it does not have a T-Mobile rom. Any work around?

Thanks for the answer Slave 1, the problem is when you go to the page it says the handset is not compatible. It works on my Vario II but not the Tytn II. I was jsut wondering if anyone had a work around for this. According to T-Mobile it will only work on their roms.

i just went to t-mobile favorties -> tv pick sky sports suhbscribed n now i just clickt the channel n the streaming tv prog opens n runs flawlessly, quailty isnt perfect but cant have everything

Does anyone kn0w h0w to connect xda 2 to a tv? Wat av cable should i use? I juz wana watch some movies i've downloaded on my xda to my tv..is it possible?

You could find one for our xda fr0m Ebay, for the av cable that you were looking,,for, or if your fr0m manila try to go to greenhils,you could also search for some,upgrade for our xda,

Assuming you are still on WM2003 then search on EBay for the Backpack. This will provide you with a CF slot and connection to VGA, S-Video and RGB Composite. It doesn't work with WM5 or 6 though.

i would like a key,too. my phone is an htc fuze.

I'd also like to have a key to test this app on my devices, Eten x500 (QVGA) HTC Universal (VGA) HTC Touch Pro (VGA) and HTC Touch HD (WVGA). In case this app is device-dependant I'd preffer to test it on my Touch Pro

I;d be willing to test it out as well, elt you knwo any bugs and my feedback asn such.. like the rest, I am using a Touch Pro (Fuze).. I am using it unlocked on a non=at&t carrier... I am using the Energy 6.5 rom w/ sence 2.5...

I'd like to give it a try on 2 phones - one HTC Touch Pro (AT&T unlocked) and a Sprint version of the same unit.

Just tried it and it works well on wvga screen of my Pure. The buffering is very quick and no lag seen. The whole app seems promising because of the range of channels available just wish my free limitation wasn't so quick. What is the requirements as far as storage goes? I have about 80MB on storage and program storage each.
