Ok I have an old MDA and a new one.
The new one is:
IPL 2.26
SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25 11
OS 2.26.10.2
The old one is:
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
GSM 1.09 10
OS 1.8.10.2
Basically how do i get the new one to read what the old one does?
I want to completely switch the software or rom or idk what its called.

Hi,
I'm quite unhappy, because the update process with the original T-Mobile ROM from their website failed. No, the device will not go beyond the splash screen. I tried to update again (bootloader screen is accessible), but this does not help. Strangely, On the PC the ROM-Version is not shown. After a hard-reset I get the Error

I talked to T-Mobile and I will get a new device soon. Let's see which firmware is on that one...
T-Mobile: Brilliant! Just 30 hours after my call, I got a brand-new MDA Vario in exchange for my old one. It has already the newest official ROM on it.
I just upgraded a Tmobile Wizard to this ROM:
T-Mobile_RUU_Wizard_2241010_224_22511_ENG_US.exe

I have heard issues with the 2.26 so I chose this one to be the most stable.
my question- after a hard reset will the 2.24 stay put or will the phone revert back to the original 1.8 version? I think it should stay 2.24 but i just want to make sure. thanks!

also, after reset it seems everything went well, but on the startup it displays this information:

is this normal?
I just bought MDA Vario, and i want to upgrade using Molski's ROM.
My current device information are :
IPL / SPL : 1.08
ROM : 1.8.10.2 WWE
Radio : 01.09.10
It's possible for me to upgrade using directly to Molski's ROM from this current ROM?
From what I read I do not believe so...I think you have to have a IPL/SPL of 2.XX first which means you need to load one of the newer tmobile rom's first to upgrade the bootloader.
How can I upgrade my Radio ROM to 2.19.11?

Did you unzip the folder and run ROM update? If you did then the problem is you need to upgrade to IPL 2.26 & SPL 2.26
It's because you have a 1.xx IPL and SPL. The only way that it is going to work is if you upgrade your ROM. You're going to have to upgrade the whole thing cuz if you would just upgrade the IPL/SPL to 2.xx to make the GSM work then the OS wouldn't.
OR download latest official carrier Rom AKU 2 version,to upgrade to IPL/SPL2.xx,than upgrade to Radio 2.19 if he doesn't want to opt for unlocking and upgrade

Yes it will, unless the ROM contains a CID but I don't know of any that do. I know for sure that the T-Mobile ROM doesn't since it's the one I always flash back to before flashing a newly cooked WM6 ROM.
