No bass and no way to get bass (bass boost in software, ipaqaudio......)
Nothing to do!!! It 's very disgusting
Yah I also noticed music sounds rather crappy now...
there is already a topic for this subject

1 or 2 program zic with an equalizer but no program to boost the bass or do like all MP3 player!
Strange no ?
As a person who enjoys quality music, I'd tell you to use your headphones to color the sound rather than the player. It's better to have more bass-responsive headphones than to boost bass and make it sound like crap, if bass is what you're looking for.
Just a note though, most people don't even know what the heck bass is, and seem to think mid-bass is good.
Sorry for the rant. I guess I appreciate quality more than most people.
Soaa-, I agree with you - half anyway. I have pretty damn good earphones - and it's always good to have an EQ, even if someone doesn't have good ear/headphones - or if they are using the Hero's speaker/s, it is still nice to have an equalizer - to change your music into noise - or to make it seem less tinny. Or whatever.
Bottom line: We need an EQ app; at the same priority as an app that can play your music backwards and at different speeds...
How hard can it be?

Famous last words...
can you explain me the advantages of beats audio?
imho SRS sounds much better than beats audio. much deeper bass and high tones are clear.
maybe it only give better sound an beats headphones?
Good question, I'd like to know too...
OK just found this:

This review is a pretty good analysis of what Beats actually does on a HTC phone (only one I've seen on the internet apart from speculation about the magical Beats)
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/13/htc-sensation-xe-with-beats-audio-review/
Basically, if you dont use it with Beats headphones you get a crap experience unless you're into Top 40 Sine Waves Under 400Hz.
Thanks I will check that out.

Same here. I like SRS better than others effects. I'm using Westone UM2.
I use srs, beats sounds a bit tinny to me
If You are using HTC Innovation headphones, then SRS wil be the best one fitting you.
If you are using HTC headphones, you gave rocks in your head.
Sorry, but they are really bad IMO.
Take it from a sound engineer: beats audio is nothing but marketing. The actual sound quality you get is no better than a standard consumer product. In fact, it may well be worse, since they crank up the bass response for no real reason.
In certain cases, the sound hardware must put into considerations as well. Such as headphones accessories.

thanks for your professional meaning. how do you rate the other settings like SRS, dolby mobile etc?
Beats practically made no difference on my phone. What does is, DSP manager. But you need your phone to be rooted for that. And trust me, You need to hear it to believe it!
Makes your sound, specially beats, better than any ipod ever made.
I think so. SRS is wider and louder than Beat.
Or maybe I need Beat earphone to run with it
I thought all these sound enhancement things were in the kernel
and that sense roms are based off HTC kernels with SRS
so therefore AOSP roms dont have SRS
Therefore none have beats or dolby
Please correct me if im wrong
All this has come from surfing around other forums, with kernels that say they have beats integration and rezound sound drivers etc.
Personally I don't like srs, beats audio seems to me that doesnt' change anything...
I think that beats driver does something only in phones that have a native hardware support...
BTW, I'm using ue-600..
there is a way to install the Beats Audio, which I RockoDev for all roms in Incredible Gingerbread S, and probe some zip but remain on bootloop to initiate or otherwise do not allow me to use the native player I get FC

Hey all
About a week ago my Galaxy S was stolen at a festival, so yesterday I bought myself a second hand O2X. I like it a lot even though there's no stable ICS rom available as of now.
The only thing I dislike about the phone is the fact that it's speaker quality (the bottom one for music/video) is so horribly bad compared to the Galaxy S. Especially when you realize that they advertise this phone as Dolby Mobile capable. It's just so quiet and weak and it does not seem to pronounce any bass or treble correctly.
So I'm asking you O2X users: is there some sort of tweak available that brings out the real power of that speaker?
Running CM7 2.3.7 btw. Thanks!
The speaker itself won't be loud nor specialy good but you can try to flash a kernel with voodoo sound (fe ETaNa's kernel).
he is talking about the SPEAKER sound. voodoo only alters the volume of headphone output.
yeah, its a gripe that the speaker is so quiet, but it actually is a really high quality speaker, only not used to full potential.
what most people do is use the dsp manager app to crank up the freq's at the speaker graphic eq. adds distortion, but what ya gonna do.
f**k LG's "devs"
edit: dolby mobile is pure crap, which works only in original music and video app AND also only works for headphones. (it friggin distorts the bass a lot, i hated it. power amp way better)
Hello Guys
I want to get the SP , but I heard from some reviews that it have a very low audio volume when using headphones , is that true? and if it is true how low is it, I'm taking the subway everyday to work and I'm afraid that I won't hear my music , I don't care about the loudspeakers I'm setting my phones to vibration anyway. thanks
Its loud on headset but a noun for the ear.
Maybe the end of the test jis helpful.

yes I saw the gsmarena test but it says on the description the sound when pluging a headphone is pretty low
hmmm , I guess I'll look for something else , too lame that sony is one of the leading companies in Audio products but they can't make a phone with proper audio quality .
I like the sp so much it looks good perform good but something little as sound volume can mess it up.
No complaints here. I use headphones while running and I use etymotics while on the motorcycle (in a helmet). I'm no audiophile and it sounds just great to me. Clean and crisp.

Thanks for replying , but what do u think about the loudness , is it enough or its low?
The standard headset that comes with the SP just sucks, plug in your average headphones and there is nothing to complain about..
Thanks a lot guys
the sound is awesome, like others have said the standard earphones suck terribly. i use my sp with a surround system in my room and it sounds just as good as my mac or iPod which have magnificent audio. the built in speaker is LOUD much louder than an iPhone or s4 and theres minimal distortion at max volume
