Hi,
I was curious is it possible to pluck the needed Poutlook files from WM6 & pop them onto a Wizard running WM5? That would give the WM5 Wizard the ability to view HTML emails (or is there more to it than that?)
Is WM6 Poutlook workable only on WM6?
If so, does anyone have any ideas on which files would be needed?
Thanks,
Rich

Does anyone know where I can upgrade my currently WM2003SE pocket outlook to have the same features as WM2005?
Thanks..
Does anyone know if this is available on any of the wm5 roms? I use it everyday and would like to goto wm5, but can't be without instant email. any sugestions would be very helpful.. thanks!
also, unrelated, but anyone using Vista with wm2003? I am and get contacts or calender to sync, Vista doesnt have activesyne, just window mobile and I think it doesnt support wm2003 deices. thanks!!
I am not sure but i think Blackberry is not working yet for Blueangel WM5.
As for vista it is not finished, it will not sync anything else except media (music, videos and pictures). In the RTM version syncing contacts tasks and caledar will be possible
if no bb, how does everyone send and recieve email? do they connect gprs every 5 mins?? seems like a pain in the butt. any suggestions are greatly welcome.
The BB clients that are available for WM5 do not work on any of the BA WM5 versions, only on the official Wizard and Universal roms that are pre-AKU2
THis mey be weird but I tried Faria's WM6 roms and liked them but had a few things I had become used to in WM5.
Is it possible to merge the two ?
Pull Office from WM5 and put it in WM6 ?
plus get rid of stuff.
From what I can tell poutlook is for syncing with desktop outlook ?
Is it seperate from calender, tasks and notes ?
If I use stand alone email do I need poutlook ?
For the outlook question - poutlook is the whole Messaging thing so you need it for any type of SMS or e-mail - I'd advicea gainst taking it out as there are also a host of dependencies you'd need to figure out.
THanks
I figured as much
My wife has an MDA Vario and she has just upgraded to the MDA Vario III (Kaiser),
I have managed to get all of her notes, contacts and things over to the new PDA, BUT, she doesn't sync with anything and I have no idea how to copy her Calendar entries over, Is there some easy way of doing this?
Thanks in advance

I think this is the easiest way:
Find yourself a PC, install ActiveSync, create an empty Outlook Profile, sync the Vario, then the Kaiser.
Or search this forum for PIM Backup.
Search for TabBackup. It's a tiny freeware program. It saves/loads all Contacts, Calendar entries/Tasks in a .TXT/.CSV file. The bad thing is that it has a russian interface, but I'm sure you'll get over it.

Thanks, I did this and it worked a treat...
Use PIMBackup..... Much faster and also free. Used it on my TyTN II and all is well................
Are you able to to sync your notes with my WM6 device ?
I use MS Outlook 2003.
In the included screenshot, you can see that I can not check 'Notes', because there is no checkbox.
I have tried to delete the ActiveSync partnership, and create a new one, but the problem is still the same.
I moved a few days ago from my WM5 (HTC TyTN) to a WM6 device (HTC Kaiser). With my HTC
TyTN, I could sync my notes without problems.
Thanks for any help, Chris
I must precise that I have WM6 Professional, so Notes should be available, isn't ?
I heard that Smartphone do not have Notes, but I am not using a smartphone.
