i got a little problem! i deleted my extended rom and can't find it in the www. the origininal t-mobile rom upgrade doesn't work. i need the content of the extended rom of the t-mobile mda vario in german.
can anybody help me and send it to me?

Try reflashing your rom, or take the rom and take out the e_rom and rebuild it and flash it!

i tried to upgrade to aku3.3 but it doesn't work! always with the errormsg "UPDATE ERROR"

Hi folks, I changed provider from t-mobile to o2, but I`d like to keep my mdaIII, but with the functions of the xdaIII (homezone, etc.).
I figured, if the rom / extended rom is changed, everything should work out.
Has somebody already done this or knows how to do it?

Im guessing the "_ship" part means thats what was shipped with the device.
Most of the available ROMs on the ftp contains the _ship. So i do not believe that it is the original ROM.
But users of the wizards could easily compare it. So this posting was just informatial......

Up to now only the WWE edition is going to be available here.
The question is: is possible/easy to upgrade the rom with a Italian one?
Will the localized Italian rom be updated as frequently as the WWE will?
Ah, another one: the Italian version will have a italian keyboard?

I have downloaded this ship rom and ran the installer to confirm the version. I got a really strange result that maybe others can tell me what they mean.
On the final confirmation screen before starting the rom update process it states that it is upgrading to model id of Prodigy with Image version 09.
What the heck is this, a beta pre-ship release maybe? The attached image clearly shows a picture of the wizard device so i'm wondering what imate are doing.
Needless to say, there's no way i was going to press next and actually install it as i wouldn't want to risk ending up with a 2 day old paperweight :wink:

Sure. You can use K-Jam or QTek9100 rom on Dopod 838.
Unlocked it first. Backup your original rom with "r2sd all" command.
And try to upgrade with K-Jam or Qtek9100 rom.

I am expecting to get MDA Vario from Germany on Monday or Tuesday. I am also planing to flash it with english version ROM couse I don't know german language.
I will be more than happy to backup original German Rom and upload it here prior flashing it, but I don't know how to do it.

I asked TMobile, but they told me to look here for solutions. Can you believe that..

I am new here and I am loving these forums already!
Unfortunately I want to upgrade my MDA I to the latest T-Mobile UK version Rom 2.26.10.2 (or later if there is one) to try to help some freezing problems that I have!
Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE help me out and provide me with a link to download the UK version of this ROM as all I can seem to find around the internet is the US one and when I tried to upgrade with that one it would not let me :O(
Any help with a UK ROM would be much appreciated!
