Please HELP. SPL 1.09 and stuck

hi guys,
i was excited about the new Radio upgrade, so i tried to flash it. i got an error, because my SPL is 2.05. so i tried to unlock the phone using jerpelea's guide, flash to 1.09 -->success, then WWE (1.10) but an error occured saying invalid vendor ID during WWE flash. now i have SPL 1.09 on my phone and my phone is stuck on the 2nd boot screen of jerpelea's WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. my phone is fully unlocked using jerpelea's unlock guide, that's how i got to install SPL 1.09 successfully. how can i recover my phone? please help.
Update 1: i tried to flash back the original dopod 595 WM5 ROM. i mixed the RUU updater from the latest official ROM with the nbh from dopod WM5 ROM. the flashing works. when it's 100%, the phone reboots and, i got back to the same problem. stuck at 2nd/3rd boot screen. i now have IPL-0.90 and SPL 1.09 on my phone. Please help me to recover my phone. i've tried to hard SPL shown in the wiki guide, doesnt work. says invalid vendor ID crap. i really dont know what to do now.
Update 2: when the device boots, it stucks on the 2nd/3rd boot screen and if the USB cable is attached, for a brief moment, windows can detect the phone and i can even browse the content of the phone from my PC. but after that, the device disconnects itself and just remain stuck at the 2nd/3rd boot screen. the device appears to be totally freezed/hang. even the LED charging indicator will not turn off when i unplug the device from computer
i believe what i need to do now is to make a nbh image that is signed to i dont get any corrupted image message when trying to flash. i used HTC ROM editor to mix and match the SPL and IPL file so that i can downgrade the SPL to 2.05 and upgrade it again later. but i dont know how to sign nbh files.

If i were you I'd use this one =)

crap!. doesnt work. it's still SPL 1.09 and stuck at 2nd boot screen.
is there a ROM editor that works for meteor? can someone please suggest one that can be used to sign the nbh file.

I think I know what do you mean. My device was in very same state like yours few mnonths ago.
Try to run mtty and the command "info 2" without quotes.
Do not forget to disable USB on activesync settings before running mtty.
You will get an answer which includes the CID of your device.
If not (this was my case), you have to send it to the repair center probably.
My device CID was Qtek_A07 (RUS) and I have tried to instal the first official WWE 1.34 ROM update (combined from SPL.nbh and ROM.nbh) and it replaced only the SPL, and the ROM update crashed.
There was not way out so I sent it to the repair center.
The WWE images are expecting the device with CID Qtek_Z12.

why did you format ?
try to reflash 1.09 spl
and after this wwe one of 1.34 roms to get 1.10 spl

Actually, I did read that, and a couple of problems:
1) Boot Loader is 1.09
2) OS won't load, so can't use any of the ActiveSync-based methods for downgrading to an older version, such as 1.04.
3) CID appears to be corrupted, as per the earlier output pasted.

I think that comment was really unnecessary!
As a n00b I know how hard it is to understand what’s happening. I did read the wiki’s and still I didn’t get HOW TO upgrade a ROM until I found a great post in FutureShock’s thread

On the Mteor start the explorer and in the root directory (press UP once) find SSPL.EXE en start it.
If the Mteor won't start the program and there is an error like "insufficient trustlevel".
You need to remove the application lock on your Mteor.
Run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe on your PC with Activesync working and then install SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab on the Mteor.
You will find those two in the .rar in ".\opt Software\Unlock Tools"
Then redo from the start.
Then, Have fun !! (Futureshock & DarkDirk)
P.S. works on a BREE100 with IPL-0.90 and SPL-2.05.

with all the respect what you do for this community, isn't taht you who advice us to update the SPL before trying your images?
in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384398 you should probably higlight that the update should be done only on WWE devices.

i did try to read as much as i could but apparently i didnt come across that. when i flashed to SPL 1.09, the device booted up just fine. it is when i try to update to WWE 1.10, the update process failed and bricked my phone. for your information, i was following the exact steps described by you in your unlocking/SSPL guide. you mentioned upgrade to SPL 1.09, then WWE 1.10. this is exactly what i did. i dont know what went wrong. im sure if im as knowlegable as you are, i wouldnt have screwed up my phone. my bad.
just to be fair, your method did work when i updated my dopod 595 (WWE device) to your WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. but i never upgraded my SPL to 1.10. i only thought of upgrading SPL when you posted the new radio release and that's where i screwed up.
anyway, what is important here is, is my phone unrecoverable? im reading the links you posted as i type, and i'll give the methods. maybe based on your experience, you could suggest some ways to do it. thanks.

run terratem
type info2
if it sais A07 then just flash rusian 1.34 rom and enerithing will be fine
application unlock it
run sspl 77.7
flash wm6.1
if it says enithing else you need to locate your original rom
till now i found that it sais a07 in most cases

it depends on the info displayed on terraterm
for A07 you can use the russian rom to recover

this is what i got from terraterm. same as mtty.

i did flashed back to my original ROM after the first stuck in WM screen incident. and amazingly the flashing process works after several mix and match. after the original (WM5) ROM completed flashing, my IPL is downgraded back to 0.9 and SPL is still 1.09, and im still stuck at the WM logo screen (this time WM5 logo).

terraterm is a tool like mtty
what is your orignal rom??
just try to flash over sdcard... (look in wiki4more infos about that)

i tried SD card flashing too yesterday. it says not allowed. i have already flashed over the original dopod 595 ROM and my phone is now WM5. the flashing is 100% successful, but it is still stuck at the second boot WM screen.
i think im in a really screw up position now. i have SPL 1.09 and IPL 0.9. i dont know what is corrupted now. is it the CID? SPL?

cid you can check with mtty and info 2...
if that so... just do what i have wroted in pm...
you could also just try the old htc rom (w. SPL 2.05)

both mtty and terraterm give me the same msg when i type info 2. it says time out (refer above for exact error message).
the original dopod 595 rom has SPL2.05. and it was successfully flashed into the phone. when the phone reboots, it is still stuck at 2nd boot screen (WM logo). i checked, the SPL is still 1.09, but IPL has been downgraded to 0.9.

My Device boot loader shows :
DIAM100 64M
SPL-1.93.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x30
I have tried all Hard-SPL Standard and Developers versions but I got the same result stopping at 0% including the RUU_Signed.nbh which is designed especially diamond came with 1.93 SPL originally
Please help me

You have Hardspl installed already. You don't need to overwrite it again.

But also when I try to upgrade directly with any cooked ROM I face the same problem
the upgrade stops on 0%

What you show is the shipped SPL - so you will only be able to use offfical (if branded) operator customised ROMs.

If your phone shows this info after you flash hard-spl in your device, you dont have hard-spl in your device at all, so flash that first
you should seen 1.93Olinex forexample if u have flashed the 1,93unsigned hard-spl

My device is not branded....
Do u mean that it will never accept upgrading to coocked ROMs ?
DO u think that there is no method yet ? or we will find new methods in the future ?

No I am not saying that - If you dont have either OliNex or Jockeys HARDSPL then you could only use offical ROMs....etc etc...
So you really need to sort this issue out then you will be free to load any cooked ROM depending on your region
Remember that OliNex's SPLs have protection in them so that you can only update while you machine is connected via activesync.
When you try and Run the olinex SPL then you should get a popup on you devices screen asking you to confirm you want to run this application. Do you get this far?
Have you tried Jockys?

Never had to this before - but I've never had any issues flashing Hard SPL to devices - over 50 different handsets

What do you meen? I have olinex1.93 and never use Active sync to flash a rom (or start AC), I put my phone in bootloader manualy and flash. Or is Ac startup even is this situation?

I was trying to explain that don't try flash (another) SPL using HardSPL as olinex one has overwrite protection.
Flashing ROMs this way is no problem - but not recommended

I found that this new version of devices is HardCoded with original HTC-SPL
So its seems that upgrading to unofficial ROMs is not possible yet ...

I have Olinex 1.30 and have previously upgraded from ROM 1.34 to 1.93. However, I have tried upgrading the ROM to 2.03.831 but it doesn't work.
Do I need to upgrade the Hard SPL to 1.93 signed? Where can i get the file?

try the "RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition.zip" from THIS thread as this was the only one that worked for me. I recently flashed a O2 branded Diamond and was also about to give up...it was my last try/chance and eventually I succseeded in flashing any Diamond ROM until 100%.

Here's what I did:
Download this file: Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip
and this: RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition.zip (you can choose another developer version such as HardSPL_Olinex137_Unsigned.zip)
Now copy the file RUU_Signed.nbh of seconde archive to replace the one in the first archive. Then run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe of the 1st archive. As the moment the percentage bar appears, run the SSPL-Manual.exe of the 1st archive from your PDA (of course, this file must be copied to PDA before via ActiveSync).
Just run again ROMUpdateUtility.exe if you have a phone not responding error.
Then there you go...

Ok now, I got the same situation as described above, but the phone's software won't boot. I can just put it in the bootloader mode. I cannot put the SSPL Manual file on the device. How do I reflash it then? USPL said that this version is not supported. Any ideas? Thanks for any input.

Unable to change radio or SPL version

Hello.
First, sorry for my bad English (French guy).
I make a SD flash with a Rom, and something strange occurs: my radio rom version change to 1.16.00.00. I try (always SD flash) to change it with a newer, the process looks good (the download bar increase, the device reboot) but the radio rom version always the same. I try to change OS rom, no problem. I try to change SPL version, impossible: all process executed without error but at the next load of SPL (power-camera-reset) the version is always the same (1.30 Olipro).
I try with another computer (Win XP pro SP2) and with activSync, the problem was the same !
And I try with several rom version, idem.
So to be quick
OS ROM change: no problem
SPL change: impossible
Radio ROM change: impossible
If someone have an idea, I will be very happy

I find the solution !
Usually, I toogle in SPL mode manually.
The soluce for me was to downgrade the SPL (1.30 to 1.20 olipro) but let the RUU launch is own SPL.
And after, the SPL version was 1.20 and I can change ROM, Radio ROM etc...

i don't understand how that is accomplished.
i have read through the trinity guide and that is what they recommended
My trinity has been flashed with 1.3oli and a custom rom but it hangs at the start up page.This makes the device disconnect from the USB.
so how do i let the RUU launch its own SPL?
It is supposed to make the device go into bootloader right? i cant access that since it is hanged

it is impossible, in this condition that rru launch its SSPL, and it is ipossible to use the method sspl.exe ....
I think that the only way is the splxploit but I don't find a sspl file to load on p3600 with splxploit

I've exactly the same problem, oli 1.30, I can flash OS roms with no problem but I can't get a radio rom to go past 0%.
I've tried the spl exploit to boot into spl 1.07, I've tried going into the bootloader manually and I've tried letting the RUU load the SPL, no matter what I do I can't shift the radio from 1.16?
Any ideas?

mine is just wierd...
i used SPLxploit and the spl jumps to 3.03...
tried to flash hard SPL and its has error 270...
so i did SPLxploit again...
shows SPL 1.20 now

You can't upgrade to the 1.56.70.11 Radio with Olipro 1.3. It looks like it's worked and gets to 100% on mine but doesn't actually change anything. I ended up using another HardSPL (can't remember the name now) to get the 1.56.70.11 Radio on there.
I looked for ages for a version of Olipro 1.2 but couldn't find one anywhere. Apparently it works ok with that version.
Sometimes these threads are really hard to follow when they get massive and the author updates the first posts and over writes stuff. I think they should all keep old stuff in there and just add too it instead of replacing information.

It seems HardSPL 1.40oli and this 2.32 rom don't work very well.Very sluggish and phone can't turn ON even after 2 Hard resets.
What is your experience???

I installed the ROM upgrade from HTC, it ****ed up my device real bad: phone module not working, device boot up in aprox 1 min, after 3 mins Touch Flo not started, it restarts by itself.
I did hard reset and nothing happens.
I,m reinstalling jademan superrom!
I hope that works!

Could anyone check, if the gps-support has been improved?

Exactly same symptoms. I went to Stock SPL 1.40 and reflashing the new rom now. Hope it works better
update : Jade is fine now. New SPL is 2.32.0000 . More testing to be done.
Question : Can HardSPL 1.40.oli be flashed over new 2.32.0000 ?

It is annoying that hardspl doesnt work with this upgrade of jade.. can't built a rom now with the new oem. It's all newer than the iolite versions, but still doesnt include Footprint

I installed this new rom, and i get exactly the same problems as Lexx2009 and Lagoskon. I tryed to install the stock 1.40 rom but it doesnt work. I can synchronize the phone but i cannot use customRUU or hard spl anymore, it says the Jade isn't plugged with the usb cable ..
Please can anyone tell me what i have to do to get a rom whith works please

Install a different rom from this forum-> Shut down your jade, unplug it. Hold down "volume down button" and ""power on button" to get in to boot mode. now start to flash another rom.
when finished you can install stock spl and then install this new rom

If we flash original SPL to instal this ROM, and SPL is upgraded by this ROM to 2.32,.... and HardSPL does not work with this new 2.23 SPL,.....
THEN, IT SEEMS THAT FOLLOWING THESE STEPS WILL ONLY MAKE US SLAVES OF THIS NEW & OFFICIAL HTC ROM!!!! i.e. No possibility of other ROMs flashing until new HardSPL is developed,...
Please, somebody to confirm this statement?

that's right.. but i think it's in one of the drivers. using the old drivers and the new oem/sys makes it possible to run it with the current hardspl.

Hi, I am ALi , sorry to bother, but just done some HardSPL on my X1,
last time the SPL ver was 0.78.0000
i read many of method to flash a newer ROM must HardSPL first their X1,
the problem is, I had already HardSPL it to SPL ver 0.72.0000, the process was a success
but
it stucked/bricked at tri-color mod, so i had it settled from
forum. xda-developers. com/showthread. php?t=455553 thread reported by MALIK,
i noticed that before down grading my X1, the ROM ver was UK_GEN_R3AA010,
but
after HardSPL to ver 0.72, i cant flash the original ROM UK_GEN_R3AA010 back, instead of that only ROM UK_GEN_R1AA017 are working with my current flashed SPL ver 0.72.
I tried to Hard SPL to 0.52 Olinex version (i didnt find any 0.72Olinex!! just 0.52 Olinex, where can i found the 0.72 ver of olinex?? does the 0.72Olinex really exist?? i am so much confiused now and really tired of trying to make it work in almost a week!!) so many time but fail, by USB, by SDcard (also try to replace my SD-HC4gb to Nokia SD 256Mb) neither of that method work!!

I've flashed my X1 with hardSPL and back to stock SPL a number of times, never without succes. From 0.720000 to 0.72Olinex to 0.720000 and from 0.780000 to 0.72Olinex.
So when you can't hardSPL from your pc there must be something wrong with the connection between pc and X1.
If you want a newer ROM with stock SPL, connect your phone with stock SPL 0.720000 to SEUS and SEUS will automatically update SPL to 0.780000. After that you can flash R3A ROM.
The other way through hardSPL and the manual download of R3A from PavelX1's sticky.

I tried restore my software using SEUS but it says that I already have the lastes software (but I have ENERGY ROM 6.5)
the past version of SEUS had an option to flash again but the new one doesnt have.
CAN someone help ???

Download you stock ROM from PavelX1's sticky thread and flash it...

thankx for the advice,... if ou wont tell me about the SEUS, sure my X1 i declared it DEAD!!! I was accidently HardSPL it to 0.72.0000 i think...., because of i tried so many times to HardSPL the OLinexSPL to my X1 but it aint workin. but then when i replace the RUU_signed.nbh that got version 0.72.0000stockSPL it worked AND THEN it STUCKED at the boot screen says that please wait, continue to upgrade ROM.... damn i resolved it...
so my step on recover to the latest stock SPL 0.78.00 are like this,...
1. download the SEUS from XPERIA website.
2. try to READ and FOLLOW the instruction stepbystep. even whenever the application ask you to restart the PC/LAPTOP, please make it done so....
3. whenever SEUS asked u to enter the bootscreen, MAKE SURE you take out the SD out from your phone. and let the SEUS flash the OriSPLver 0.78.0000
4. then it blinks several times after the progress bar finished, and it also stucked at bootscreen saying to continue updating ROM.
5. in this situation, please flash back your ROM with ROM UK_GEN_R3AA010 not the R1 or R2 ROM. so to manually flash the R3 ROM, copy the R3 image file to your freshed format SD and named it kovsimg.nbh
6. so put the SD in X1 and soft reset the X1 by pressing the reset button with your stylus at the back panel of X1.
7. let it load the image whenever it enter the boot screen again
8. press the power button to confirm upgrade ROM.
9. it should state there SUCCESS!! and you must HARD-RESET the X1.
9. waitt...... and wait...... be very patient, take a break... let it run.....
10. you are DONE!!
enjoy your original flashed ROM,...
if you not like it,
from this point you can just simply HardSPL it to 0.72Olinex by downloading the X1_HardSPL_v1.zip
then go get another ROM and repeat step 5.
as my observation...
SPL 0.72.0000 can flash img from R1,
R2 I dunno can flash or not, never try it...
SPL 0.78.0000 can flash img from R3
HardSPL it to OLinex ver 0.72OLinex ver, then you r good to go to flash any ROM you like!!
damn what a hard week!!! at last i got it to flash the HardSPL on my X1
last but not least.... just want you all to know that i was doing those step above from my mom's laptop current spec was CentrinoDuo, mine that always hanging whenever try to flash any SPL was on SempronAMD Laptop + always BlueScreen error even after i freshed repair my .NetFramework ver3.5sp1. so if you facing any problem on SPL our X1, try to done the upgrading on another PC/laptop, i believe that Intel based processor was more stable than AMD i think...

Don't know if you can use the SD-card flash method when on stock SPL.
A couple of things to know:
0.720000 is stock SPL
0.780000 is an updated stock SPL
0.72Olinex is hardSPL
Did you try to flash with CustomRUU instead of sdcard? I attached it to this post, just unpack and place the ROM you want to flash in the same folder. You can find the ROMs in PavelX1's sticky.
What does your bootloader say now? And you can't boot your phone?

but
- last time my original 0.78.0000 cant do HardSPL
- after accidently flash the 0.72.0000 by using RUU but at the same time i copy the stock0.72 SPL to RUU folder,,,... or my mistaken to copy to SD also by renaming it to kovsimg.nbh i think, just cant remember at that time, and still cant HardSPL + hangging somemore....
- after SEUS updates to newer stock SPL 0.78.0000 like before it was very easy to HardSPL with 0.72OLinex..... wonder y.....
hmmm... CustomRUU??... i think if i try that method would always get the ERROR code rather then success huhuhuuu....
for now i just stick to flashing ROM using Nokia SD 256Mb if the img can fit it in....

you got any suggestion about the best,smooth,cool&light ROM for me??
another thing i noticed that, the ROM that been cooked doesnt seems have Xpanel.cab installed, so that our X button panel will be useless, or did i miss something? huhuhuuuu

Several roms do have panel manager installed so there is a use for the X Button
in case it is not cooked in you can add it manually. Also XMapper is available for alternative uses of the button...
Finally, if Silent_UC is supported by the rom you can bulk install many apps, registry edits, etc. after flashing the rom or afterwards. Just search...

hardSPL can be done without a problem from 0.780000. I did it several times after I brought it to repairs.
In post #5 in the EnergyROM thread you can find a link on how to install the panelmanager, from R3A and X2. This works with all roms which don't have the panelmanager installed.

I am very happy now! Just managed to update my SE X1 after SEUS 0.78!. As others suggested downloaded R3AA010 (APP_SW_X1i_GENERIC_UK_CDF1215-1832_KOV_R3AA010), but used NBHUtil to extract ROM. That was a mistake! I simply renamed R3AA010 to Kovsimg and put it in my SD 2 Gb card. Ufff, after 2 weeks of endless reading the forums and thying this and that... Finally!!!!
