any program that can remove duplicate contacts from sim or outlook contacts on the wing(i use inesoft address book as default)thnx.
I think there are various free apps that will do this on the PC.
Sync to PC, clean up your outlook contacts with free app, then resync.

I would like to have the options in Outlook to just click "Do not show SIM contacts"... would help a lot without loosing the sim contacts....

Hi
When i first got my Kaiser, i put in my SIM which had my contacts on it...but it didnt save them all properly like Mobile and Home etc.
Anyway i put the SIM back in my N73 and synced the contact list to outlook, then put SIM back into Kaiser and synced the Kaiser with the Outlook contact list, which is what I was advised to do in another thread.
Now im my contacts it has 2 entries for everyone...seems when it synced with outlook it just added it...without removing the original contacts.
How can i make it so its just 1 list?
In PDAs the sync with outlook takes place with your phone memory and not the SIM memory. Thats why the contacts ate existing in your phone memory as well ass in SIM memory. That is not a problem. Pl switch off the display of SIM_Contacts and things shall look good

Did you have to create two threads for the same problem? If you read your manual, it would tell you how to manage your SIM and Outlook contacts.
I just got a new rma, i use outlook to sync contacts. i had saved all contacts to outlook & to sim.
when i sync to outlook it says all contacts sync'd but they dont show on my tilt. all i see are my sim contacts as seen before the sync?
is there anyway to get my contacts to xfer over from outlook or do i need to recreate outlook contacts on the tilt again?

Ummmmm I think you need to delete the partnership on the computer side?? Does this sound correct.
If you have all the contacts in Outlook I would also delete the Sim conacts, this may cause an issue.
Dear all,
Whenever I hard reset my device to test other people's ROMS and then bring my contacts back. Once I connect it to my laptop (Sync) all the contacts becomes duplicate and I don't know how to stop this. It doesn't ask me to compare them with my device instead it just does it by itself.
Is there anyway to stop this sort of thing?

Use only ONE mechanism to synchronize your contacts, either by ActiveSync or by PPCPimbackup. I use PPCPimbackup and keep the backup data on my SD card, I have switched off contact synchronization in ActiveSync.
well now I did it how can I make it single again?
How can I remove only my contacts list and re-import it?

If you use PPCPimbackup it will give you the option to clear the entire contacts database before importing. This should allow you to re-import contacts into a clean database. If you use ActiveSync you can uncheck Contacts in the synchronization list and it should clear the synchronized contacts from database. I never use ActiveSync but it appears it tries to only clear the contacts it synchronized itself, so that option should un-duplicate your database.

Is there anyway to remove all the windows live messenger contacts in the contacts? Its REALLY annoying because I have 500 people on my MSN list.
Basically I just want all the contacts from Sim Manager only to be viewed in the contacts screen. How can I do it?
sync with outlook delete all live contacts
sync again with the setting make the pda like windows option
first backup outlook's pst file to be sure
and don't use the version of msn msg which auto add it's contacts

If I have to sync with my PC that doesn't work for some reason. I get an Error in the Active Sync software everytime I try.
I got it to sync with activesync and it said it synced my contacts succesfully.
But where are they? And it only seemed to sync 120 contacts. If all my MSN contacts are in my contact list on my phone there should be 500+
