[Q] Change Language on my 6510 - Beetles
Hi, I have bought from Ebay a HP 6510 whti english Language.
I'm Italian, and I wanto to install a Italian Rom.
I have downloaded it, but I cannot install it, becouse language is different and setup doesn't go on.
There is a solution??

verify the Version of Device & ROM images are same languagese
8:This step is very IMPORTANT:

*And click OK to start upgrading to fash the English image,
also past to the Copied Italian CEOS.nbf to over write English CEOS.nbf
at the same time.
if the timing was not wrong, upgrade exe will flash itaian ROM onto
your device.
i flashed Chinese ROM onto English deivice with this way.
But some of friend failed and bricked coz of bad timing

I found you on google and saw your web site .. and reading so much of your posts ..
You are the expert here with IME.
I am having a problem for my Benq P51 that using WM6 JPN. I can't understand it because it is in Japanese. I try to work on it by changing it back to English or Thai but no hope.
Can I use your korechithai ?? or Do I have to do something as the above post ??
Please guide me !!

i tried to cahnge language from spanish to english , update stopped at 0.1%, i disconnected after few hours and after that my ipaq is dead , i cant do nothing, its not recocnized by active sync, i tried hard reset but it dosen't show nothing, exept light shows that is charging , screen is empty all the time , if anybody had same problem please help me

The bootloader was dead, there is almost nothing you can do (unless you know how to JTAG the 6515... or take out the ROM, reprogram and solder it back)...
watchsat might not be right i have read other posts that this error at 0.1% is due to radio rom not being compatable and freezing there. no idea what the solutoion to this is but i know that if you dump radio.nbf it will continue pat 0.1% but you will have no radio
dont read much chinese but go over to www.pxdxa.com and search for error there as well.
try with another pc

i also got same problem with you a long time ago.
then i had brought it to Hp service center.
i said to them " suddenly it never boot any more,,"
they replaced it with new one after few days.
(in my case, it was free of charge,but i dont think you also free)
pls try this, if you have little bit of luck, you can get new one

you can tweak registry in those valu with registry editor,
could it be posible to flash only OS and EXTROM to avoid radio bricking?

Yep...it's the typical 40-50 MB. I will attempt to post it this evening and will add a link here. BTW, you can use itsutil to extract the correct sized image from your sd. I will also find the link (to the instructions) and post it for you this evening. Moridin

Try to redownload the file. If it still does not work I will put a recovery tool on the site so you can repair it. Moridin edit: I have uploaded quickpar and 10% revocery files. Install quickpar and run one of the quick recovery files to repair the Orange SPV archive.

Today I had some talks with Risidoro and Asukal about changing languages on Roms without upgrading to a whole new Rom. Risidoro introduced me to Asukal after a question from me about Rom Cooking. After some talking with Asukal about his "UI Language Switch Program" for Universal he gave me some files that I tested a few times. Right now I am running a fully stable Mr. Clean 2.24a AKU2.3 Rom with dutch language, so for all dutch folks, here you go... UPDATE: Right now I am running the latest 2.26 T-Mobile Rom, without problems! [EDIT FRIDAY, 28th JULI]: FINAL INSTRUCTIONS (for now....) Definitive instructions to change the English Mr. Clean 2.24a AKU2.3 Rom into the Dutch language - Install the Mr. Clean Rom - Install these 5 files, I installed everything to the Main Memory, I advice you all to do the same! 1) Wizard_AKU2_NLD_mui_Tool.cab 2) NLD_Notifications_WIZ.cab 3) NLD_Today_113.cab 4) DUT_SMS.cab 5) NLD_Registry_Changes.cab - Soft-reset your Wizard by turning it off and on (not with the Soft-Reset button!) - Run through the (Dutch) Welcome Screen for screen alignment etc. - Go to Settings -> Regional Settings (Instellingen -> Landinstellingen) and set it to Nederlands - Delete the file \Windows\initobj.dat and rename \Windows\welcome.lnk to something like welcome.bak.lnk - Delete the folder "\Program Files" - Delete the folder "\Windows\Fonts" - Delete the folder "\Windows\Favorites" - Delete the folder "\Windows\Programs" - Delete the folder "\Windows\Start Menu" - Delete the folder "\Windows\Start Up" - Delete the folder "\Windows\PDFfonts" (optional, but I did it to get 2MB extra free space because I don't use ClearVue PDF!) - Remove all English folders in \My Documents (EXCEPT THE TEMPLATES FOLDER, in this folder the Camera Templates will be stored!) Not good, i cannot remove or rename welcome.lnk....... Any suggestions, tried total comander and the windows explorer... edit: Solved the problem on my own: First with total commander tap'nhold --> properties and disable the read only checkbox. then goto shortcut tab and edit this to something.... then it is possible te rename.. Yeah not beautiful... but it works so what the heck....

My litle contribution to this fantastic idea For the Dutch T9 follow the next steps: In the attachment are three files: 1 - dictprob.dat 2 - statdict.dat 3 - mssp2_nl.lex Copy them to the \Windows dir and replace existing files. The following location: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IA Style\IA CameraWizard(Pocket PC)\3.00\" has to be: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IA Style\IA CameraWizard(Pocket PC)\3.00\Strings" I'm almost ready with the CAB file that takes care of these registry changes, including the T9 stuff.

Click to collapse Uncheck the read-only for this file and then go to the properties and remove the entry, OR rename the file like I did to something as welcome.bak.lnk
Here it is, the CAB file with the registry changes, with the files for T9 including one extra file (autocorrect.txt) from a dutch Rom, for (I guess) spellchecking. I installed the file on my device and got no problems, I don't wanna say it is 100% correct, but I really guess it is, so were heading for 5 final files for installing Dutch Language on EVERY Non dutch Rom By the way...don't forget to delete the old English subfolders of My Documents guys I love it to be Dutch
Looks great! I don't mind that the welcome.lnk stays. It only lets you run the welcome screen once, in Dutch. After that it doesn't show up anymore. I followed the instructions about the ReadOnly settings, but like I said it looks like it changes the name of the file. But after a refresh it's back again Glad to be of some help concerning the Dutch spelling
I updated my NLD_Registry_Changes.CAB file. Because the Camera has some problems, although I change the "Frames" string, every time you select a picture template the setting is resetted. So the solution is to delete every English subfolder of My Documents EXCEPT for Templates (!!), but on the other hand, it's not a bad idea to have al the camera templates in a seperate directory

I also tested this language Pack on the new T-Mobile 2.26 Rom and I can confirm it's also working on the new Rom. My advice for now is, don't use the Mr. Clean Rom anymore, but the new T-Mobile 2.26 Rom and don't install the Extended Rom to keep it as clean as possible (or manually select what you want to install).
Hmmm... ..just came to tell you that I also run the latest T-Mobile ROM in Dutch now. No problems so far! 8)
I really find it very cool that we don't have to wait anymore for Roms in dutch! We just grab the latest WWE Roms and turn it into Dutch, no problem The Mr. Clean Rom was cool to test with, but I'm happy with the 2.26 Rom.

Nope, not explictit for the Wizard, only for Universal. These packages that I am using now were custom created by Asukal especially for the Wizard!

I have a german ROM on my hx2110 WM2003se and want to upgrade it to wm5. I tried to replace the german by the english ROM, but the upgrade takes only 5 seconds. After that the message on my computer says that all went good, but I´ve still a German ROM on my hx2110 and nothing happend. Hope you can help me??
I too have an hp2110 wm2003 in German and got the same results. The solution I did was: You will need: 1. Download from HP the German and English WM2003 roms. 2. Download the file described in this attachment HX2110 and HX2410 Update Files by Spiaatie.txt. This can be found in the following thread that describes how to upgrade your humble hx2110 wm2003 to wm6.5v4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=519296 Extract the roms from HP. It will install in c:\ipaq\SP29850 the German rom and SP29856 the English. I had a problem using the tool in this package, which was version 2.02.011, to change to English so I used Spiaatie's version which is 2.02.013. 3. Rename the WM5 rom file (version $1.00.00L) from Spiaatie's distribution from 'update.nbf' to 'updateL.nbf'. 4. Next copy the German rom into Spiaatie's $1.00.00.L directory and rename to 'update.nbf' 5. Start hpRUU.exe from the $1.00.00.L directory and continue. But don't click 'update'. 6. Copy the English rom to the directory $1.00.00.L and rename to 'update.nbf', or you could try (but not tested) to rename the 'updateL.nbf' to 'update.nbf'. 7. Now click update. That worked for me and if you continue with Spiaatie's instructions you could have a nice wm6.5v4 version on you hx2110. I did and it's a breath of fresh air. Thank you Spiaatie!
[Q] Problem with language pack.
Hello 1. I downloaded and installed ROM from sunnysoft - Diamond_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_2.03.479.2 2. I downloaded and installed language localization from sunnysoft - InterWrite_WWE_EastEurope_2.03.479.2 3. HR 4. After customization some CAB's are instaling but I am not able to install all CAB's. Installation hangs out on CAB called "HTC_Diamond_5in1_EEU_2_03_VC...", that is language pack, this is also last CAB on the list. If i SR everything is ok, but im still have ENG version. I tried many times with the same result. I want PL version anyone can help me solve it? I also know many ppl form Poland and Czech notice the same problem...
I figured out something. I unpacked InterWrite_WWE_EastEurope_2.03.479.2 There was a file called ExtendedPKG.cab.pkg i changed extension to CAB Then i unzipped file. I can't post pics im new user : //imageshack.us/photo/my-images/26/htcmv.png/ I coped both CAB files. First one was install sucessful, second didn't - message pop up "Unable to install aplication. Please update your ROM device to required version before trying again" But this is correct language pack for ROM version.
